HOW TO BE THE BEST SCREENPLAY WRITER IN INDIA

To be one of the best screenplay writers in India or anywhere else in the world the key is creating memorable characters. Characters who become flesh and blood people who stay with the audience long after the movie or season is over. Whom you care so deeply about that the slightest hurt or setback to them is something the viewers take personally and discuss, rant, angst about – good recent examples would be Jon Snow (GOT) and Eleven (Stranger Things).

So what makes a character so memorable that it can lead to one becoming a top script writer

Relatability/Identifiability – This invariably connects to human frailties or vulnerabilities that strike a common chord with anyone who is watching. Like Jon’s desperate need to belong, for a family, his feeling like an outsider – we’ve all gone through this in school, college, work, maybe even home. It immediately gets us to feel for him. This is essential if one aspires to be the best screenplay writer in India.

Evoking Awe or Admiration – While a character should never be perfect – perfection puts audiences off, makes them feel like this character is totally unbelievable, they should have some aspects that make them stand out – either they are able to do what we cannot do – say exactly what they feel – they are frank, take no shit from anyone – e.g. Basanti in Sholay, or they embody characteristics we would like to have – we would like to be as carefree and bindaas as Geet (Jab we Met) or as suave, sophisticated and unflappable as Raymond Reddington (The Blacklist).

Positive Traits – At times it’s not about the characters doing things or being what we cannot. It could be the same traits that we have but pushed to a higher degree. Like the determination and dedication shown by Andrew in Whiplash or the courage shown by Kay Graham in The Post. We have the same, only these characters take it to different level and that becomes a point for inspiration for us.

Dreams and Ambitions – This is always easy to connect with – now the key thing to remember that it isn’t about the specific ambition, like we may not want to be a ball player or an Underworld don. But we all want to be rich, famous, successful, we want to be loved. Any ambition or goal is ultimately a manifestation of that – and if the core emotions are brought out – an audience will always relate and connect to the characters’ dreams and ambitions.

Humour – Just like a touch of salt/pepper/chilli in food, humour is the spice that always enlivens and makes a character so much more likable. This works even in the case of a villain one loves to hate – Gabbar, Mogambo or an otherwise serious character having a moment of levity or being out in a funny situation – case in point from Jab We Met being the angsty, serious Aditya having to deal with Geet’s strange exchange with the seedy lodge owner.

All of these are just guidelines, good tricks to becoming one of the best storytellers in India. But ultimately a great screenplay and awesome characters have to come from one’s own heart and life experiences. The key – if the creator loves the characters, the audience probably will too. If we as creators can’t stand them, no way is the audience going to like them.

All Roads Lead To Mazda MPV!

Are you interested in learning about the Mazda MPV? If so, then we would like to take you by the hand and tell you about an outstanding vehicle. 1989 was quite the year! In Egypt a 4400 year old mummy was found, the movie Batman released and at 01:23:45 AM the time and date by US reckoning was 01:23:45 6-7-1989! It was also the year that the Mazda MPV arrived in America. While it was not the first player in the modern mini van medley, Mazda rocked when Chrysler only rolled! The first real, for every road, in all kinds of weather all-wheel drive had arrived. We must say that this vehicle got a big applause when it first came out on the market. Critiques and customers both stared at it...

It seems that there are many fine things in this world. Today, we absolutely adore the Mazda MPV, which has made its way into many people's lives. In 1989 Mazda presented its US customers with a new breed of minivan. In a market dominated by Chrysler the Mazda MPV nudged its way in by introducing the first ever rough-weather, rough road compatible multi purpose vehicle.

It scored well on aesthetic standards; it offered a more compact design with traditionally hinged doors. Powered by a four-cylinder or optional V6 engine with standard rear wheel drive.

Unfortunately the innovative spirit that propelled it to fame lacked stamina after a couple of years, it was outclassed in terms of versatility, maneuverability and technology by aggressive competition.

First in class multi configurable seating designs and roll down windows in sliding doors were bold innovations reminiscent of its early spirit. Flexibility, maneuverability matched with design defined this drive. The versatility of its seating system was a signature feature.

The second row seats came with a moving mechanism, enabling it to transform into bench style seating. In addition the third line of rear seats could be turned down into the floor and even turned around toward the tail end of the minivan for those occasions when the back door was open. While luggage space is limited, the vehicle proves to be a good choice for large families juggling busy schedules.

The versatility of its seating was a signature feature. The second row seats armed with a sliding feature meant that they could lock in together for convenient bench seating. The third row seats could fold down into the floor, it could also be flipped around to face the back of the vehicle when the rear door was open.

While the improvements were many and significant with features like keyless entry, convenient slide open doors, CD entertainment systems, cruise control, individually heated mirrors and passenger seat air conditioning this new installment of the MPV continued to disappoint the key performance area of engine power. In the years that followed numerous steps were taken to improve the power of the vehicle however this remained an area in which competition was stronger. The power upgrades in 2002 included a 3. 0liter 200HP V6 and automatic five-speed transmission, 17inch alloys, upgraded break systems, improved suspension tuning and power side-slide door mechanisms. Then again in 2003 a family entertainment theater system by way of a DVD player was introduced as an optional feature. The Mazda MPV had found its niche; versatile space management, entertainment and space efficient design features keeps it relevant to the family market.

Internet Buzzwords and Newbies: Proceed With Caution!

Learning the ropes of Internet Marketing is one of the
hardest things to do; even more so if you are a Newbie
to computers and the Web.

I remember watching the movie "The Flim Flam Man" and
heard the quote "You Can't Con an Honest Man."

The above quote, taken in the context of the movie,
did make perfect sense. The movie dialog implied that
the selfish desire to gain an unethical edge was the hook
the experienced con man used to snare his victims or
"pigeons." In the end, the victims fell for the con
because they had a disregard for the Golden Rule!

I'm bringing this up because the thinking implied by
the quote doesn't fit many of the offers the Internet
Newbie will encounter while searching for a business guide.

You can be a good, honest and hard working person and
still fall for many of the traps awaiting you in cyberspace!
The most appealing target for the experienced Web con
man, is the Newbie's lack of experience and knowledge!

All over the Net there are offers constantly bombarding
Newbies with the latest systems and applications; "new"
methods that will grow a business with a minimum effort!

Some of them are given fancy names: "the K-15 System
Will Make You Wealthy!" or, "You Have a Ground Floor
Opportunity with G-ZAP, get in now because it won't be
available tomorrow...."

The above offers should be investigated from heat to
toe! Many of them are simply more of the same re-hashed
information aimed at Internet business Newbies.

One of the main reasons Internet Marketers continue
coming up with so many new programs, applications and
systems is known as "Internet Time." Internet products
have a very short shelf life; what was the latest thing a
year ago will now be old news!

That isn't to say there aren't good systems and
technology. However, due diligence is a requirement to
ascertain the value of any offer presented.

Take your time and look at the offer to examine it with a
fine tooth comb! You should check out any buzzword
filled business offer with extra caution!

Ask all the questions you need answered until you're
sure you understand what you're getting into. If there
are no straight answers to be had, perhaps you should
reconsider.

With its Booker-winning fictional reputation and origins in Aesopian fantasy, Life of Pi provides a comforting link between all this technical whiz-bangery and the type of traditional Hollywood storytelling that provided us The Wizard of Oz or The Jungle Book. A poll for Ang Lee's movie is thus more than just a vote for Ang Lee; it is a poll for all those Pixar films that never quite created best image, or all those Andy Serkis activities that never discovered a nomination. Now, all the technological innovation has at its returning a Big Theme. This movie is based on the best-selling novel by Yann Martel, is a magical adventure story centring an Indian boy named Pi, a zookeepers son. Residents in Pondicherry, India, the family members choose to shift to Canada, hitching a drive on a large freighter. After a shipwreck, Pi discovers himself adrift in the Pacific Ocean on a 26-foot lifeboat with a zebra, a hyena, an orang-utan and a 450-pound Bengal tiger known as Rich Parker, all battling for survival
The sheer number of world religions given a shout-out in the film Hindu, Christian, Muslim, and Buddhist is enough to send Donald Trump's comb-over scampering up the nearest tree trunk, looking for cover. The movie requires a while to get going, like someone roused from their day relaxation, with plenty of blossoms and candle lights and individuals dressed in please, set joy indicating enlightenment, or as if they had been hit around the head with a brass pot. Conceived from the start as the director's first 3D venture, 'Pi' is among the rare ones that integrate the expensive process instead of simply showing off or scaring. Appear for the visible acrobatics, but do remain for first-time acting professional Sharma. For someone who has never acted in a movie before, the 17-year-old delivers a moving performance that manages to stand out in a literal sea of bombastic spectacle. Also impressive is the miraculous performance by the digitally rendered Bengal tiger who dominates the screen with both a fearsome and almost human energy - here is where the technical accomplishments of the film shine most brilliantly.
The second act shifts the film from a lazy and comfortable list of introductions to a exciting fantasia of pure cinema, wherein Lee paints an oft-wordless picture of nature's harshness and grace, the perfect arena for Pi to have a Christ-like coming of age. In visual terms, what Lee simply does with marine life is staggering, pinning Pi and Richard in the path of a massive, migrating school of fish, and lighting up the evening sea with scads of bioluminescent jellyfish, whose peace is interrupted by the surface leap of a colossal blue whale. There's also a kaleidoscopic, Kubrickian dream sequence, with fauna and cosmos morphing into maternal visions. So far, no other 2012 film has so strongly outweighed its shortcomings with breath-taking spectacle, and as for Richard himself, the tiger may just be the most convincing CG animal ever animated for movie screens.
Life of Pi is something of a beautiful ordeal, a film brimming with lush imagery as well as a sense of new-age enlightenment that constantly swings between misty (and perhaps even hollow) to deeply resonant. It's a film that that aspires to the very loftiest of heights and, by the end, doesn't quite succeed. Still, beneath everything, the heart of the story - the boy, the boat, and the tiger - manages to outshine the movie's desperate desire to be great. This movie has been released and bagged two National Tourism Awards by Tourism Ministry. It is also ranking no.1 among the top 10 films of 2012 and has also received 6 awards from Las Vegas film critics. It is also nominated for several U.S. film critics awards.

Why the Beatles Made More Money than Einstein

In the horror movie that our world had become, economic development policy is decided by Bob Geldof, the US Presidency is entrusted to the B-movies actor Ronald Reagan , our reading tastes are dictated by Oprah, and California's future is steered by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Why did the Beatles generate more income in one year than Albert Einstein did throughout his long career? The reflexive answer is:

How many bands like the Beatles were there? But, on second reflection, how many scientists like Einstein were there?Rarity or scarcity cannot, therefore, to explain the enormous disparity in remuneration.

Then let's try this:

Music and football and films are more accessible to laymen than physics. Very little effort is required in order to master the rules of sports, for instance. Hence the mass appeal of entertainment - and its disproportionate revenues. Mass appeal translates to media exposure and the creation of marketable personal brands (think Beckham, or Tiger Woods).

Yet, surely the Internet is as accessible as baseball. Why did none of the scientists involved in its creation become a multi-billionaire?Because they are secretly hated by the multitudes.

People resent the elitism and the arcane nature of modern science. This pent-up resentment translates into anti-intellectualism, Luddism, and ostentatious displays of proud ignorance. People prefer the esoteric and pseudo-sciences to the real and daunting thing.

Consumers perceive entertainment and entertainers as "good", "human", "like us". We feel that there is no reason, in principle, why we can't become instant celebrities. Conversely, there are numerous obstacles to becoming an Einstein. Consequently, science has an austere, distant, inhuman, and relentless image. The uncompromising pursuit of truth provokes paranoia in the uninitiated. Science is invariably presented in pop culture as evil, or, at the very least, dangerous (recall genetically-modified foods, cloning, nuclear weapons, toxic waste, and global warming).

Egghead intellectuals and scientists are treated as aliens. They are not loved - they are feared. Underpaying them is one way of reducing them to size and controlling their potentially pernicious or subversive activities. The penury of the intellect is guaranteed by the anti-capitalistic ethos of science. Scientific knowledge and discoveries must be instantly and selflessly shared with colleagues and the world at large. The fruits of science belong to the community, not to the scholar who labored to yield them. It is a self-interested corporate sham, of course. Firms and universities own patents and benefit from them financially - but these benefits rarely accrue to individual researchers.

Additionally, modern technology has rendered intellectual property a public good. Books, other texts, and scholarly papers are non-rivalrous (can be consumed numerous time without diminishing or altering) and non-exclusive. The concept of "original" or "one time phenomenon" vanishes with reproducibility. After all, what is the difference between the first copy of a treatise and the millionth one? Attempts to reverse these developments (for example, by extending copyright laws or litigating against pirates) - usually come to naught. Not only do scientists and intellectuals subsist on low wages - they cannot even augment their income by selling books or other forms of intellectual property.

Thus impoverished and lacking in future prospects, their numbers are in steep decline. We are descending into a dark age of diminishing innovation and pulp "culture". The media's attention is equally divided between sports, politics, music, and films. One is hard pressed to find even a mention of the sciences, literature, or philosophy anywhere but on dedicated channels and "supplements". Intellectually challenging programming is shunned by both the print and the electronic media as a matter of policy. Literacy has plummeted even in the industrial and rich West.

In the horror movie that our world had become, economic development policy is decided by Bob Geldof, the US Presidency is entrusted to the B-movies actor Ronald Reagan , our reading tastes are dictated by Oprah, and California's future is steered by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Magical You

I snooted up my nose at it.

My inner snob said, "Surely, anything that popular must be trash."

But finally, my son dragged me to the movie, and I fell in love with Harry Potter.

I've had a lot of time to think about the phenomenal success of stories like Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings trilogy - and why these stories resonate so with me.

It's not the magic.

It's not the wizards and elves, hobbits and Hogwarts.

It's not the dazzling special effects.

Those things are all wonderful. They add charm, magic and mystery. They're just ripping good fun!

But the real staying power of these stories lies in The Message. And it's the same Message that runs like a whisper throughout all great literature - and, for that matter, not so great literature.

The Message? Things are not as they seem. There's more to us - and our world - than meets the eye.

We are, indeed, magical!

Living, as we do, in the sunlight world of mundane reality, we forget who we are. We're afraid of our own shadows. Afraid to step out and spread our wings. We wrap ourselves in our fears and limitations and live, as Thoreau said, "lives of quiet desperation."

And that's why the Harry Potter stories and Tolkien's tales of hobbits and Middle Earth strike a chord with me. They remind me that I need not be afraid, that I have hidden powers and untapped reserves.

And, boy oh boy, do I need that message. Constantly and always!

There's Harry Potter, a poor abused orphan who's maintained his spunk in spite of it all. But Harry doesn't have a clue. He doesn't know who he is or what he's got. J. K. Rowling's novels are all about how Harry finds out who he is and what he can do.

Do you know who you are, what you've got and what you can do?

I sincerely doubt it!

Then there's Bilbo Baggins and his nephew Frodo. Two hobbits, lovers of comfort, security and all things domestic. Or so they think. They don't know who they are or what they've got either, do they? Tolkien leads us on a very long and convoluted tale to show how they find out.

Or at least, they start to find out. Because, you know, there's always more to learn.

There are thousands, if not millions, of self-help, motivational, and inspirational products out there. Books, tapes, seminars and workshops.

But nothing, absolutely nothing, has the power to move, inspire, encourage and uplift like a well-crafted story, poem, or song.

I'm not suggesting that you become a Harry Potter or a Tolkien fan. But I am suggesting that you use art to remind you of how very magical you are - how very strange and incredible the world around you is.

I want you to remember how deep your reserves are.

There's more. There's always so much more!

Indiana Jones and the cave of John the Baptist

The ... of "the cave of John the Baptist" not far away from ... was a great ... drama. ... news easily lights the ... Remember the movie series of Indiana Jone

The discovery of "the cave of John the Baptist" not far away from Jerusalem was a great journalistic drama. Archaeological news easily lights the imagination. Remember the movie series of Indiana Jones. Is it true that John the Baptist began to baptize his followers in this cave? Let us go over the facts, and find out.

There are not many historical sources of information concerning the whereabouts of John the Baptist. Of these, the Gospels, especially St. Luke, give us the most accurate information. Another source may be "the Antiquities of the Jews" by Josephus Flavius.

St. Luke tells us that Zachary, the father of John, was a priest, who lived with John's mother Elisabeth in "a city of Judah" in "the hill country". No source tells us exactly where it was. But we should assume that people live near their work place. If so, that city was situated in the vicinity of Jerusalem, because priests worked in the Temple. Traditionally, it is believed that Zachary and Elisabeth lived in Ein Kerem, a small town near Jerusalem, but there are no archaeological findings which can prove it.

Some churches have been built in Ein Kerem since the Byzantine era, though we do not know if the earlier churches were dedicated to John the Baptist or related to him. The first ones who did associate Ein Kerem to John were the Crusaders, but it must be emphasized that those Christian conquerors of the Holy land used to adapt the Holy sites to the area they ruled.

When the Crusaders controlled the way to Jerusalem, they said that the village of Emmaus was situated in the village of Abu Ghosh, and built there a beautiful church. A hundred years later, after they were driven away by the Moslems from there, they did not hesitate to identify Kubeiba as the one and only Emmaus. Also there they built a church, a monastery and fortress.

Actually there has been always a town called Emmaus. It is located in the Ayalon valley. The early Christians believed that this is the real Emmaus, mentioned in the Gospels, and magnificent churches were built there during the Byzantine era, 1500 years ago. The problem with this identification was that the place is located more than 30 kilometers from Jerusalem, while according to St. Luke the distance was only 11 kilometers.

Back to John the Baptist. We have already considered the location of his birth place. And now let us ask ourselves: where did he preach and baptize? The Gospels tell us mainly two geographical facts. That he did his preaching and religious rituals in the Judea desert, and that he baptized people who came to him from Judea and Jerusalem, in the Jordan River.

St John mentions specifically a place called Aenon, near Salim. He says John the Baptist operated there "because there was much water there". St John mentions another place called "Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing". The only possible conclusion for those who are acquainted with the area should be that John baptized his fellow Jews in the vicinity of Jericho. It was the only place combining the water of the Jordan River, a convenient road from Jerusalem and Judea and a geographical closeness to a desert, Judea desert.

St. Luke tells us that John was born when Herod was the tetrarch of Galilee. It means
John lived when Herod the 2nd, son of King Herod the Great, ruled the northern and the eastern part of the country. Many years later, this tetrarch (Roman prince) arrested John and executed him in a brutal way, by beheading him.

Why was he imprisoned and eliminated? Some of the Gospels tell us that John rebuked the tetrarch publicly for his evil deeds. But the great Jewish historian Josephus tells us another story. John was regarded as politically dangerous. St. Matthew insinuates that this version is reliable, when he says that Herod "feared the multitude, because they counted him (John) as a prophet".

The main contribution of Josephus to our story is telling us where John was imprisoned and murdered. It was in the fortress of Machaerus (Mikhvar, in Hebrew), the remains of which can be seen nowadays in the kingdom of Jordan.

Kibutz Tzuba (the correct Hebrew name is Tzova) where the cave was found, is located only four kilometers from Ein kerem, which probably was the birthplace of John, as mentioned above. But we should recall that John did not operate there. He needed "much water". In Tzuba-Ein-Kerem area water is scarce. The Historical sources put the scene in a different site: the Jordan River, apparently near Jericho. Why not believe them?

A few hundred meters from the Tzuba cave, on the top of another hill, the remains of a small fortress can be seen. The Crusaders built it to control a secondary way to Jerusalem, used by Pilgrims. Those days the Crusaders did not control the main road to Jerusalem any more, and had no choice but to use their productive imagination to "create" new "biblical sites". Nearby Abu Ghosh is one of them. It became Emmaus.

Is the Tzuba Cave a modern such an adjustment of versions? May be .But it could also be a place where John the Baptist really did some baptizing. Why not? He was born not far away from there. His parents could still live in Ein Kerem. May be he used the cave when he came to visit them?

We are dealing here with speculations. And these are beyond the scope of our discussion. Most of the Holy sites in Israel are believed to be the original ones without having any firm scientific proof. Does it matter? Apparently the answer is negative. Belief is a matter of the heart, not of science.

What Archaeologists do know for sure is that the Tzuba cave was used by Jews for a long period of time, starting during the reign of the Judean kings some 600 years before John's time. It continued to be used by Christians until 300- 400 years after John's time. There are some carvings from that time on the wall which are symbols related to John the Baptist, including his image, a drawing of his decapitated head and a cross shape.

Inside the cave, archaeologists found many pottery shards, indicating the cave could be used for baptizing. Is it enough for proving anything? The answer is no. Is it worth a visit? The answer is absolutely yes. But for that purpose people should wait. The cave has not yet been opened to visitors.

The Castaway

In the recent movie, "The Castaway," Tom Hanks played
the role of a FedEx delivery man. His job was to fly all over
the world making sure that the packages were delivered on time.

One fateful trip found his cargo plane flying through a nasty
storm somewhere in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean.
The plane crashed near a tiny, deserted island. The only survivor
was Hanks.

Upon awakening the next day, Hanks found himself all alone.
Alone with nothing except the clothes on his back.

So picture this: no matches, no tools, no food, no shelter, no
communications, only 1 small flashlight along with a few packages
containing some useless items that had washed up on shore.

He learned to survive a meager existence sleeping in a small
dark cave. His food came from coconuts and the few fish he
managed to catch.

Tom Hanks was captured and held prisoner on an island with
seemingly no hope of ever escaping. Every day the island
dictated to him how he was to live.

He was trapped on that island because he saw no way of
escape.

His fears of losing what small sense of security the island
provided, as despicable as it was, prevented him from trying to
escape to a better life. A life he knew existed, but now only
dreamed about.

Looking out over the vast expanse of the ocean, he constantly
thought about that better life. But those thoughts soon returned
to seeing the opposition and competition that prevented him from
returning to what was rightfully his.

4 long years later, Tom Hanks made a decision.

He had grown sick and tired of having a nothing life.

It was either die a nobody, going no place, on a nowhere
island, continuing to live a struggling and pitiful hand to mouth
existence, or......die trying to escape to a real life.

The Pacific Ocean was the obstacle. His opponent was
his own fears of overcoming that obstacle.

He made a plan to escape. The day arrived and Hanks set sail
aboard a make shift, rinky dink raft of logs tied together
with tree bark and video tape.

He met every adversity the South Pacific could throw at him.
It wasn't easy, but finally, the rescue came.

The movie portrayed a very intense drama. An analogy of what
life is like for many people. Thousands of folks every day feel
trapped in a nowhere life. They feel like their life is being wasted,
like they are going nowhere, on a nowhere island with little hope
of escape.

Every day these people trudge off to a boring and hopeless
job that offers only an existence but no real sense of satisfaction
in life as accomplishing anything.

These people know there is a better life out there, a life they
so desire, yet it seems so far away. They are trapped on their
own island of despair.

Held there, not by the island itself, but by their own fears of
not being able to overcome the adversity and opposition that lies
between them and their dreams.

A few do escape from that island. They are the ones who
finally become sick and tired of living a wasted life, they are the
ones who overcome the fear inside.

They start out from their island, not really knowing if they will
make it or not. But they look that sea of difficulties square in the
eye and say, in the unforgettable words of Admiral David Farragut,
"Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead."

Black Coach Ali Hobo Carried by Cameron Diaz

Cameron Diaz was busy filming her new move in Boston recently. The new movie is named Wichita. Through our camera, you can see that she is not so good at the matching thing, definitely cute yellow outfit with rugged black boots. It is not so bad that she had the Black Coach Ali Hobo wrapped around to look casually and elegantly.

It is true that yellow, especially light yellow, is good for spring and summer, but to match the yellow dress with rugged boot in fall winter is really wired. It seems that she is really a green hand at matching. Anyhow, she got this Coach bag, and I like it very much.

This Coach Ali Hobo in black is really very versatile. With a size of 15 x 12.5 x 3.5, it can easily hold all your accessories. With an adjustable handle, you can either carry it on the shoulder or just wrap it around your body like Cameron does. Plain as it seems, it has a cut-out charm and hangtag detail. I like its interesting shape very much. With a minimal accent, you are told that it is going to be very versatile and functional. Opening the bag via a top zipper, you can see fabric lining and zipped cell phone and multifunction pockets. Carrying this Coach Ali Hobo, Cameron should be in a much more sophisticated looking outfit. But anyway, it is her style.

I worked closely with Titus Moody in the making of the movie 'The Last of the American Hoboes'. Recently I have found a few reviews of the movie on the internet. I was excited to see favorable mention of some my early work in the music business in some, others were not as flattering. There was a couple of misspellings and an error in fact in that the movie wasn't released in the late '1970's' rather around 1971 or 1972. Below is a composite-example of a couple of them. I corrected the misspellings in this post. I have tried to contact the posters but so far have not had a response. There was no copyright protection notice and since the reviews deal with my work I believe I have the right to comment on them in this way.

If you've ever wanted a close up experience with real life hoboes and their stories this is one of those rare films that provides just that. Filmed in a documentary, story-telling form that provides the history of the hobo; going back to how they began riding the rails, looking for work during the great depression, and how they would put a mark near a house that was friendly to hoboes to the story of Hal Jon Norman-Actor and how he lost his leg while trying to jump on a moving train as a youth. A Juddy Phillips produced soundtrack the best cut being 'Like A Hobo Should' by Gary Revel also tracks by: The Chapparral Brothers, Wayne Storm, Brian Mark and sounds from the street and the hobo jungle brought by Hobo Actor Journalist The Nobel 'Kid' Chissel, Mike DeTemple, and The Salvation Army Band. The movie is rare and collectible. I saw it at a screening many years ago and bought one of the soundtrack albums at a garage sale. The soundtrack album cover-photography by Ken Berg folds out and is a unique collectible in it's own right. Inside the cover it says, "A Judy Russell Gary Revel Byron Spears Movement". The song credits show that Gary Revel wrote and or performed on about half of the cuts on the album. I remember Titus Moody produced and directed. The movie premiered in the late 1970's at the Hobo Convention in Britt, Iowa. An enjoyable entertaining film.

Kick 2 Telugu Movie Review and Rating

Release date : August 21, 2015

AuthorRating : 3.25/5

Director : Surender Reddy

Producer : Nandamuri Kalyan Ram

Music Director : SS. Thaman

Starring : Ravi Teja, Rakul Preet Singh, Ravi Kishan, Brahmanandam

Story: -

Robin Hood (Ravi Teja) is a doctor who comes to India to solve their land disputes. There he meets Chaitra (Rakul Preet) and falls for her. One day Chaitra is suddenly kidnapped by gunmen and Robin Hood is left defenseless. As time passes, Robin Hood discovers Chaitra is held hostage in his home village called Vikaspuri. He decides to take matters in hand and goes to his village to save it.Twist in the tale arises when he crosses path with Suleman Singh Thakur (Ravi Kishan) is troubling the villagers with its vicious activities. Rest of the story is how Robin Hood saves the village from the evil clutches of Suleman Thakur and also wins her love.

Plus Points: -

Undoubtedly, Ravi Teja is the greatest asset of the film. Soon to tell, it is his strong screen presence that holds the movie together. Maharaja mass is quite hilarious in the first half and gives a balanced and emotional performance in the second.Rakul Preet gets a meaty role and is perfect for both the village and modern avatars. His crackling chemistry with Ravi Teja and lights up the screen. First half of the film is very entertaining and has all the elements that are expected of a typical movie Ravi Teja. Brahmanandam the track with Ravi Teja and comedy episodes evokes great laughter.Yet another major advantage of the film is dull Thaman of the background score that elevates the film to another level. Second half of the film becomes high on emotions. The film takes a new job interval dimension and the last twenty minutes have superb mass elements. Ravi Kishan is formidable as the main villain and did a pretty decent job.

Negative points: -

Although the film is high on emotions, the second half lack basic entertainment. Hearing that come with certain expectations related to comedy in the launch franchise could get a little disappointed. The first fifteen minute job interval is boring and unnecessarily stretching the film.Yet another major drawback of the film is the predictability of the script. There are no surprises when you tend to be surprised of the procedure. Ravi Teja looks too thin in some scenes.Coup 2 moves on a single thread and does not give much room for comedy in the second half. Film length is too long as many scenes could be easily modified.

Technical aspects:-

Surender Reddy's films have always been high on technical values and Coup 2 does not fall short of its expectations. the camera work is amazing as rustic villages were presented with a superb manner. All selected sites natural look and bring a special flavor to the film. The mounting is smaller than the average as many scenes could be removed to make the film crisp.Dialogues are very good and suitable body language of Ravi Teja. Thaman's music is superb, as all the songs were shot exceptionally well. Scenario is a bit predictable, but catches the pace at the end. 2 shot seems quite large and the credit should go to producer Kalyan Ram to avoid compromising the film's production values.Coming to the director Surender Reddy, he had a huge responsibility to repeat the magic Kick it manages to some extent. This time, it gives due importance to emotions and treats the film on a serious note.

Verdict:-

Overall, Coup 2 is yet another movie mass Ravi Teja which offers entertainment and emotions in equal doses. But the lack of basic entertainment in the second half to drop the film to some extent. However, a first half hilarious, beautiful songs and a strong presence in Ravi Teja screen in the film about the shadow of these faults and decently entertain you with its emotional content.

Deciding to Have a Breast Augmentation?

There are many reasons why women choose breast augmentation, and they aren't all about size. There are stereotypes that accompany the procedure, and women who choose it and other plastic surgery procedures. Most people are ignorant of what the surgery can do for you, and associate the procedure with movie stars who think large breasts will get them noticed. You shouldn't let other people influence you to have the procedure if it isn't something that you really want. If it is in your heart to have an augmentation procedure, then you shouldn't let people and what they think get in the way.

If you are considering breast augmentation surgery, you have probably had some trepidation about how others may react to your decision. There are stereotypes that accompany the procedure, and women who choose it, and other plastic surgery procedures. This has likely been a cause of some concern for you. There are always naysayers and people who might raise their eyebrows concerning any decision we make. Everyone has an opinion, and everyone thinks theirs is right. The fact is most people are ignorant of what the surgery can do for you, and associate the procedure with movie stars who think large breasts will get them noticed.

Breast enhancement surgery can obviously provide you with very large breasts, and if that is what you really want, then it is nobody elses business. However, there are many other reasons why women choose breast augmentation, and they arent all about size. You may want a more proportional figure. It may be that you are tired of having to mix and match tops and bottoms when you shop for clothing and swimwear. It may be a matter of having tiny breasts and wanting to increase them by a cup size or two so that you have a shapelier figure. Perhaps your breasts are asymmetrical, and you would like them to be the same size.

It isnt always about a major augment in volume, and people who think that are simply uninformed. If it is in your heart to have an augmentation procedure, then you shouldnt let people and what they think get in the way. By the same token, you shouldnt let other people influence you to have the procedure if it isnt something that you really want. It is a highly personal choice, and it is your choice alone. The procedure can have a profound impact on your life. You will enjoy shopping for current styles, and be proud to show off your figure at the beach. This often leads to an increase in self-esteem and self-confidence. When we feel attractive, we feel good about ourselves. When we feel good about ourselves, we have a better outlook, and that has a positive impact on our relationships.

The good news is that most people will be supportive and happy for your new look. Even some of the folks who might have been negative in their reaction will come around after they observe the results, and your satisfaction with the procedure.

Ways to Belong in the Hip Hop Culture

Hip hopers are now some of the most influential celebritiesin the world today; having influenced almost every area of entertainment suchas music, movie, celebrities, including the world of fashion and style.

HIP HOP: A HISTORY

Before you start your quest on becoming one of the hip hopculture, you should first learn on the history of Hip Hop.

One of the hottest cultures of the 20th centuryis the Hip Hop culture. It is the largest and the most popular culture thathave spread throughout every country all over the world. It was firstintroduced by rap music in the late 1970s. As the rap music grew, so too waship hop fashion.

Hip Hop fashions are comprised by several elements, fromfootwear to accessories such as jewelries and hair styles. In the late 80s, itwas white sneakers and big gold chains, gold nameplates-inspired belts, goldearrings, and black bomber jackets with fur-trimmed hoods that made the stylesof hip hop in this generation. And some of those are still popular today.

In the 90s, it was baggy pants, black ink tattoos, bandanas, and shirt tails outside one's pants. Dark denim prison gears werealso popular. The style of sagging one's pants, or wearing them baggy and lowwithout a belt, was also the style that originated in prisons. It was in alsoin this era that sportswear such as sweat shirts and throwback jerseys are verypopular.

But when SeanJohn Combs, or also known as Diddy, came into the picture, the wholeof hip hop fashion has revolutionized to what we know now forever. It was SeanJohn Combs that introduced elements such as loud, flashy PVC aviator inspired suitsand platinum jewelry to the forefront of hip hop in an effort to add a newvivid dimension of color and flash to the videos produced as a marketing tool.

It is also in this era that hip hop artists and executivesstarted their own hip hop fashion labels and clothing lines. These includespersonalities such as the Wu-Tang Clan with their Wu-Wear, Russell Simmons andhis Phat Farm, Kimora Lee Simmons and her Baby Phat, Sean John Combs and his SeanJohn, Nelly and his Apple Bottoms Jeans, Damon Dash and Jay-Z and their Rocawear,50 Cent and his G-Unit Clothing, Eminem and his Shady Limited, 2Pac andMakaveli and OutKast and their OutKast Clothing.

Today, hip hop fashion clothes are now manufactured bydifferent popular and successful entrepreneurs, designers, celebrities, andentertainers, who charge significant amounts for their products.

HOW TO BECOME A HIPHOPER

From the above information, one can easily become a hiphoper. But here are some short tips on how should one dress like a hip hoper.

Hip Hop fashion is also categorized by the gender of itsuser. For the men, the fashion has changed because of what Sean John did thathas revolutionized the hip hop culture. As stated above, he was the oneintroduced lashy white suit with a cap and rich silver jewellery, items which havebeen previously regarded as being unacceptable for males to wear. But Sean Johnset a new fashion trend, making the white suits with white sneakers and capsrenewed as the newest hip hop clothes in the world.

When it comes to the women, nothing much has changed. But itwas relaxed a bit by the influence of a hip hop artist by the name of MissyElliot. She was one of the first hip hop artist that adopted a more relaxed orloose, and manly style. This is by baggy pants, T-shirts, durags or bandanas, and sneakers. But by the recent release of Beyonces House of Dereon, things got a littleslimmer, especially around the waist area. Hoodies for women are alsointroduced by the House of Dereon.

Here is a breakdown of what elements to become a hip hoper.

Footwear

Anything goes when choosing the right sneakersto wear. But bright white colored sneakers can give you the most authenticstyle.

For the men, this can be paired with a set ofbaggy pants, such as Evisu, Akademiks, and Rocawear.

For the women, cute denim skirts in the summerand baggy, gym-inspired sweats in the winter are more appropriate for asneaker. Or slim jeans such as the jeans from House of Dereon and AppleBottoms.

Upper Wear

For the upper wear, it is important that youchoose the right kind of style that will go perfectly with the rest of thelook.

There are a variety of upper wear for a hip hoplook such as hoodies, t-shirts, polos, polo t-shirts, sweatshirts, and jerseys

It is more preferable to wear branded upper wearsuch as from the clothing collection of Sean John, House of Dereon, Akademiks, Rocawear, Meezan, Miskeen,Makaveli, and many more.

Accessories

Accessories can be a bandana, durag, big goldearrings, the bling-bling, or sunglasses.

For the big gold earrings or sometimes calledDoorknockers

oThis is for the girls: the bigger they are thebetter.

oThe earrings can be thin or thick, it usuallydepends on what the other elements are.

oTo really accentuate the earrings, pull longhair into a high, tight ponytail.

oIf your hair is short, no problem, the length ofyour neck will naturally accentuate the size of the earrings.

For the bling-bling

oYou dont have to worry about sacrificing a lotof cash on this.

oThis is a more ethnic look for more fab.

oIt is recommended to wear 3 to 4 sets ofbling-blings with a variety of sizes and shapes.

oIt is also recommended to include a big goldpendant that has your name on it and with 3 to 4 bracelets also.

oTake note: keep your earrings small, or it mayruin the whole look.

For the sunglasses

oThe flashier, the better.

oChoose a more cutting edge sunglasses that wouldgo perfectly with the rest of the elements.

oMost preferred sunglasses can be found with SeanJohn collections.

In conclusion, how does one become a hip hoper? Clothes andaccessories are the key elements to becoming a hip hoper; it all rests upon theattitude of a person. Clothes and accessories are just tools on how to expressit, but the real element that makes a person a hip hopper is the attitude.Without attitude, these tools would be useless.

Pride and Prejudice BBC Movie; Movies to Stitch By

I am intrigued by movies that showwomen performing the art of stitching in them. There are quite a few of the great classics that show this, and Pride and Prejudice isjust one of my all time favorites.

There are a lot of good movies to stitch by out there, for example, Pride and Prejudice BBC movie version. I find, especially, a lot of great classics that show women stitching in them. While some show just brief excerpts of women stitching, other movies contain entire themes that seem to revolve around stitching and play an important role in the movie like The Heiress starring Olivia de Havilland. In this film, the art of stitching plays a major role in the movie, and The Heiress happens to be one of my favorites. In fact, at the beginning of the movie, an even-weave fabric is used as a back drop showing the title of the movie and the entire cast of characters.

Pride and Prejudice (Pride and Prejudice, the BBC Movie) is not only one of my all time favorite movies, but it also shows young ladies stitching in the parlor as they await the arrival of prospective suitors. Since there are many versions of Pride and Prejudice, the version I have enjoyed the most is from The Romance Collection Special Edition. It is, by far, the most accurate depiction of the book written by Jane Austen in my opinion. Whenever possible, I try to examine the stitching scenes very carefully to pick up subtle nuances about the stitching environment in the movie.

With a southern air, North and South starring Patrick Swayze shows women left and right in their voluminous antebellum skirts stitching away while the men have "more important matters to attend to." Needlearts back then was a way of life and an all-time classic hobby. In fact, it was considered a major part of formal education for young girls and women alike; and the alphabet was often stitched into what we now call a sampler.

Movies like Wuthering Heights and Driving Miss Daisy all have scenes in them which depict women embroidering, cross stitching and performing some type of needlework.

In Coal Miner's Daughter, there is a short scene showing Patsy Cline performing cross stitch as she is with her friend Loretta Lynn who has just announced she is going to have another baby.

I don't know about you, but from one fellow stitcher to another, I get a personal thrill in my heart whenever I see characters in movies stitching. It makes me feel connected to that person; and there is the thrill I get when I see someone enjoying a wholesome craft that I and so many others enjoy. Also, the movies are great movies to stitch by. For we are ladies of standing as we are all part of the great class of stitchers, including those of us who enjoy all types of needlework, whether it be embroidery, cross stitch, needlepoint, punch needle, etc.

Apart of Christmas tree, decorations, parties and gifts, there is something that adds a special atmosphere to the holiday season: Christmas movies.Almost all adults have sweet memories related to a Christmas movie; a movie that remains favorite and have - sometimes just for a second - a special flavour: the taste of childhood.

We are now adults and know that movies related to Christmas create a fun atmosphere and also teach moral lessons to our children.

When I was a child, the most watched Christmas movies in Belgium were 1950's American movies (Hollywood style obviously) or French films.

For twenty-five years, our society evolved and the quality of Christmas TV broadcasts in French-speaking Europe has decreased. Movies of Christmas Eve have generally been replaced by musical broadcasts whose quality was not the best. Lots of TV companies also tend to offer hundred times viewed movies: for instance, TVI will display Harry Potter 1 and 2 on December 24th while we were expecting watching Harry Potter 3 or 4...

However, thanks to the Internet and DVD stores, I have the opportunity to watch the movies I love instead of those proposed by TV companies.

Here are some examples of beautiful and/or humorous Christmas movies I love:

"Bishop's Wife"

A nice movie in the Hollywood tradition! While working on plans to build a cathedral financed by a rich widow, Henry Broghaman, an Episcopal bishop neglects his family and prays for divine guidance. His prayers are heard and Dudley, an angel, is sent to help him.

The mission of the angel is not to assist with the building, but in his relations with his family that he is neglecting.

But Dudley falls in love with the bishop's wife and Broghaman is jealous...

French title of this movie is "Honi soit qui mal y pense" (Old English: shame upon him who thinks evil of it).

"The sound of music"

This movie tells the story of Maria, a young Austrian who was studying to become a nun. She was hired by Captain Von Trapp, a widower to be the governess to his seven children.

The children were initially hostile to her but finally became her friends when she thaught them the joy of singing.

Captain Von Trapp and Maria fell in love and get married. When the Nazis took power in Austria, Captain Von Trapp and his whole family fled the country and found refuge in Switzerland.

This romantic musical comedy is one of French-speaking European favorite movies.

"3615 Code Pere Noel"

Thomas is a child who has everything: a mother who loves him, a cheeky grandfather, thousands of different and expensive toys.

Thomas is a clever child and on Christmas Eve, while planning of catching, he communicates with him through the Minitel (the French ancestor of the instant messenger).

Unfortunately, the alleged Santa Claus is a psychopath employee that his mother just laid off. A few hours later, the false Santa penetrates Thomas castle and the nightmare begins.

The English title of this thriller is "Dial Code Santa Claus"

"Le Pere Noel est une Ordure" (Santa Claus is a junk)

"SOS Distress and Friendship" is a charity association run by Mrs Musquin. While she decided to celebrate Christmas Eve with her family, Pierre and Therese, will spend their evening the phone and try to give some hope to desperate people.

They do not know that this Christmas Eve will get them into silly accidents as well as unannounced visits of desperate, and sometimes, dangerous people. The evening will turn into a humorous nightmare.

The American remake of this movie is "Mixed Nuts".

"Scrooged"

This is a modern adaptation of the Dickens tale. Francis Cross, who is the program director of a TV station, is a disagreeable person.During the Christmas Eve, three ghosts will take care of them and teach him how to become a pleasant person by showing him the good side of life.

This movie is also a nice message that teaches to the world the real meaning of Christmas.

"National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"

The return of Griswold Family!

25000 bulbs on the front of the house blinding the neighbors, unbearable related family, a burning Christmas tree, a charred Christmas turkey, hostile neighbors, a removed Christmas bonus and a lot of unexpected accidents, this is the Christmas of the Griswold family.

I watched this movie for the first time in the late 80's and never have enough of it!

I even bought the DVD in order to have the opportunity to create a hysteric Christmas atmosphere any other day of the year!

"Surviving Christmas"

Tired of the customs associated with Christmas and New Year? What about being paid $250,000 to to celebrate a traditional Christmas Eve with an unknown person?

Enjoy watching these movies and have a very Merry Christmas!

Filmmakers Now Use DVD On Demand Authoring Technology

If you are a filmmaker, it is important to know that it is very difficult to get your movie out to a potential audience, unless you're discovered at a film festival. There is one exception. A new trend called DVD on demand production, which is helping independant filmmakers get their films out. What's more, the future predicts that giving consumers choices for more content on a DVD is where the business is at.

Anyone who is interested in being a filmmaker should know that it can be very difficult to get your movie out to a potential audience, unless you're discovered at a film festival. One exception is known as DVD on demand production, which is helping a number of independant filmmakers get their films out to the public without a distributor. What's more today consumers are asking for more content on a DVD, which makes on demand technology ideal.

Filmmakers often participate in exciting film festivals which are social and educational events dedicated to the film industry. There are creative film festivals in Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming and Alaska that focus on cinematic interests and also attract a diverse array of films.

But there are also companies dedicated to helping filmmakers find their own audiences. They provide acquisition, marketing and distribution services to filmmakers, distributors, and film festivals. For example, one company has more than 2 million audience members sharing their opinions. They have created the world's largest focus group for independent films.

They provide filmmakers with the tools they need to figure out who their fans are, communicate with them effectively, build buzz for screenings and sell DVDs. Distributor partnerships provide filmmakers access to audiences and economic opportunities worldwide.

However, by and large, these kinds of companies rely on on demand technology for DVD fulfillment packaging. For example, if there's need for 100 films to be duplicated and shipped, thanks to on demand technology, the job can be turned around fast.

All of this helps us fulfill what is known as a self serve distribution platform which offers better economics to filmmakers than anything else in the industry. Now filmmakers are able to pocket much more of their profits than with film distribution.

Filmmakers do not need to lay out cash in advance to duplicate and produce DVDs. On the other hand, if the film takes off and is selling like crazy, and is proven, it may be time to transition over to cd duplication and packaging, and warehousing of thousands of DVDs.

"We wanted to change things and make it much easier for great films, regardless of their initial commercial potential, to get a chance to develop and grow an audience," said Joe Boutros, a product manager at B-side Entertainment.

With over thousands of independent films in competition worldwide, some of the key festivals include the Anchorage International Film Festival, Anchorage, Alaska; Big Sky Documentary film festival in Big Sky, Montana; the Forest Film Festival in Portland, Oregon; the Sun Valley Spiritual Film Festival in Sun Valley Idaho; or in Wyoming, there's the Jackson Hole Film Festival.

Player Telugu Movie Review Rating

Release date : October 30, 2015

AuthorRating : 2.5/5

Director : Gnanasaghar

Producer : Yamuna Kishore, Jagadeesh Kumar Kallur

Music Director : Rajeesh Raghunath

Starring : Praveen Raj, Sahi, Nagineedu

Continuing with the trend of low budget films, yet another project tilted ‘Player’ has hit the screens today. Let’s now see how this Gnana Sagar directorial turns out to be.

Story: -

Jayadev (Parveen Raj) is a young boy who heads to Bangkok for his graduate studies. He is admitted to a high school and there he developed a good friendship with his teacher Michel (Nagineedu).Seeing his mathematical intelligence, Michael convinces Jai play a counting game cards and win more money. Interested in the money factor, Jai follows Michael and earns a lot of money. As time passes, I've discovered a shocking truth about his father, who is related to the dangerous Michael. What is the truth? How to escape Jai Michel and take revenge on behalf of his father? Which forms the rest of the story.

Plus Points: -

The unique backdrop is the greatest asset of the film. It is quite rare for a Telugu film has a casinoas the main backdrop. Moreover, the whole set up and how the different games played in the casino were presented is quite good. climax of the film was well managed.Young hero Raj Parveen did a decent job in the film. Nagineedu did a great job and is exceptional in both its roles of teacher and player. First half of the film is ok and has some interesting scenes starring the counting cards game.

Negative points: -

One of the biggest drawbacks of the film is the routine story. If you ignore the interesting backdrop rest of the story and narration is quite systematic and predictable. As the film is based on a card game, more clarity should be given on his technique.None of the scenes in the second half to create an impact on the viewer. Although there are very few characters, no emotional connect between them. No working relationships on screen and fail to evoke the necessary emotions. The dubbing voice used for the hero's bad enough. After a point, the film moves on the agenda at a single point and various other important factors are left out.

Technical aspects:-

camera work is very good and the credit must go to Suresh to present the film in a good light. The way he presented Bangkok, Hong Kong and also illuminated the casino set up with its amazing camera work is impressive. The music is pretty good, but the background score engagement lifts the film to a decent level. The film's production values are decent. Coming to the Director Gnana Sagar, he does a decent job with the premise, but failed in the execution of the film with a gripping manner.

Verdict:-

Overall, Casino has an interesting backdrop that is quite new to Telugu films. A correct first half and some interesting sensations are decent assets. But the film falls flat and turns into an average case below when a routine revenge drama is infused into the proceedings and said in a very predictable and tedious way.

SEO News: Google to Offer Pay-Per-View Movie Service Will it Stand Up to its Competitors?

Inrecent SEO news, Google is planning to launch a pay-per-view service throughtheir popular, high traffic site, YouTube. Will this endeavors be a success, orwill it flop like so many of their other recent efforts?

Later this year, Google maybegin offering pay-per-view movies via online video site YouTube. This willinclude new releases, possibly offered at $5 per film. YouTube already offerssome older titles for a rental fee of .99 to $4, but their catalog is limited.Google is currently talking with various movie studios, such as Lions Gate,Sony, MGM, and Warner Bros. about including their titles in the YouTubecatalog. New titles will possibly be offered the same day they are released onDVD.

Its also speculated thatthis service will be integrated with upcoming Google TV. According to Google Senior Product Manager Rishi Chandra, the purpose of Google TVis, "to bring the entire Web to the television setto take the best of what TVoffers these days and the best of what the Web offers and combine them."

Google TV will give television thenavigation capabilities of the web. This will benefit viewers and advertisersalike. Viewers can navigate TV to more easily find the programs and channelsthey want to watch. And advertisers can include links in their commercials totake interested viewer to the companys website, which will allow for moreeffective internet marketing.

Both the pay-per-view serviceand Google TV are speculated to launch around the same time. They can beintegrated in the way that those with the Google TV service can watchpay-per-view films on YouTube right through their televisions. This willprovide a more comfortable viewing experience than sitting at a computer deskor watching a film on a small laptop screen.

With the decline of videostores like Blockbuster, streaming movies over the Internet is where the futureof video rental lies. After all, you don't have to leave your house to get themovies, there are no late fees, and you don't have to worry about getting a DVDthat is scratched and won't play or skips constantly. Netflix, iTunes, and Hulualready offer such services. Will Google offer a worthy competitor? Or willthis service flop like so many of Google's other recent endeavors, such asGoogle Buzz or Google Wave?

Google is counting on thepopularity of YouTube to make their pay-per-view service a success. Currently,YouTube is one of the most popular sites on the web, with approximately 100million visitors every month, and an outstanding Alexa rating of 3 worldwide. This high traffic website already has a huge audience that will be aware ofthis new service when it launches.

However, it is possible thatpart of the popularity of YouTube is the ability to watch a bunch of shortvideos for free. Many people visit YouTube to see the latest viral video, watchthat funny commercial they keep hearing about (Old Spice Guy?), or watch musicvideos from their favorite artist when the have a little bit of time to kill. Willthe YouTube audience be drawn to visit the site to pay to watch full-lengthmovies? Or is the plethora of user generated content and short videos the maindraw?

Another factor that mighthamper success is that Google may be a bit late to the party. Netflix hasalready implemented an instant viewing service that allows members to watchfilms instantly over the Internet and video game consoles like the NintendoWii. Other services like Hulu, iTunes, and Amazon Video on Demand are alsogaining popularity as sites for viewing films and TV shows. Will the alreadylarge YouTube audience be enough to propel Google's pay-per-view service overits competitors? What will Google offer that its competitors won't?

It's obvious that Google istrying very hard to stay on top of the search engine and Internet realm. TheWeb giant already has plans for a social network that is said to possibly rivalFacebook, which will prove to be a daunting task. However, Google is willing totake on the challenge of starting its own online social networking site, andhas already acquired companies involved in social media services. Only thefuture will tell if Google will stay on top, or finally crumble.

To make a village story authentic, you cannot create it in a studio. Our entire film is based in the village. So we chose to shoot at actual location in Wai and Mahabaleshwar. Gaming is a multi-billion dollar industry each year. While this pastime is not something everyone may be comfortable doing, it is something that nearly everyone has heard about. One of the drawbacks to this hobby is the cost of the games and the gaming system. Many of the best gaming systems can often cost over $300 and the games are over $50 each. So what can you do to help you save on video games? Here are some tips to help:

Rent Your Games

There are now a number of companies that offer you the chance to rent video games. Instead of purchasing a game to only find out you dont like it, you can rent the game and give it a test run. Some companies charge one flat rate for you to rent each month, while others charge per item. This is a great way to play your favorites without shelling out hundreds of dollars.

Join a Club

On the same note, you can join a video game club and receive all of your rentals from an online company. Pay your monthly fee and you can rent as many as you want, provided you do not exceed your limit. Keep them as long as you want and return them when you are through. The company then ships the next game on your list. As long as you pay your monthly fee, then your membership continues.

You can also find online coupon codes to get the first month free just to try the service out. Companies such as Gamefly and Gameshark offer these online discount codes on everything from free shipping for purchases to ten day free trials in their services. If you can use coupon codes, you will see the savings add up. This is especially true if you purchase a lot of games each month.

Turn in Your Old Games

Some companies offer you the chance to build up points towards a new game simply by bringing in the games you dont want anymore. The more popular a game is that you turn in, the more points you get. This can be a great way to get you hands on a game that you dont have the cash for. However, remember that you probably paid for that game at some point, so you want to make sure its worth it to turn it in.

In Closing

Even though video games are expensive, you can still save money by following the above tips. Turn in your old video games and get credit towards the purchase of a new one. Join a club to receive games each month with a small fee or simply rent each game on a day to day basis.

Autumn, the movie season

Autumn is the favourite season of cinema lovers. It iswhen summer ends, indeed, that the most long-awaited films of the year arereleased.

This year, too, in spite of the crisis of filmindustry and the cuts to the showbiz and to culture in general decided by theItalian government, the arrival of autumn has brought some very interestingfilm releases, also as far as Italian movies is concerned. In the last fewmonths some longed-for Italian movies have come out, from The Solitude ofPrime Numbers to Benvenuti al Sud.The first movie, which was presented during the Venice International FilmFestival, an event that takes place at the end of summer and that hosts manymovies which are going to reach the movie theatres, was very longed-for as itis taken from one of the best-known and most appreciated movies of the last fewyears, the first work of young physicist Paolo Giordano that has long toppedthe sales charts and managed to win the Strega Prize, one of the mostprestigious Italian literary awards. No wonder if the homonymous movie directedby Saverio Costanzo was long-awaited by both the critics and the millions ofreaders that have loved the book and familiarized with Alice and Mattia, thetwo main characters of the story that in the movie are interpreted by AlbaRohrwacher and Luca Marinelli.

Also Benvenuti al Sud is taken from another work, but in this case it is not the transposition of a book, but the remake of anamazingly successful French movie, Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis, which did very wellat the French box office describing the prejudices and differences between theNorth and the South of France with the typical comedy features. And this was asort of inspiration for the Italian film industry, which could make hundreds ofmovies describing the fights between North and South, as has already happenedmany times (like in the movie Tot, Peppino e... la malafemmina). The Italianversion of the movie, shot by Luca Miniero and starring Claudio Bisio, tellsthe story of a man from the North who is obliged to move to a village in theprovince of Naples. The success of the movie, along with the great deal ofideas that a subject like this gives, has convinced producers to realizeanother movie with reversed roles: the friend, coming from the South, of thecharacter played by Claudio Bisio will be obliged to move to the North.

Also the international film industry has proposed manyinteresting movies in the last few months: from Inception with Leonardo diCaprio to the sequel of Wall Street by Oliver Stone, 23 years after the firstmovie, Hollywood is showing the aces it has up its sleeve. And these are onlythe first movies of the season: until Christmas, another fertile period as faras film releases is concerned, we will have the chance to see many interestingmovies.
