Internet Buzzwords and Newbies: Proceed With Caution!

Learning the ropes of Internet Marketing is one of the
hardest things to do; even more so if you are a Newbie
to computers and the Web.

I remember watching the movie "The Flim Flam Man" and
heard the quote "You Can't Con an Honest Man."

The above quote, taken in the context of the movie,
did make perfect sense. The movie dialog implied that
the selfish desire to gain an unethical edge was the hook
the experienced con man used to snare his victims or
"pigeons." In the end, the victims fell for the con
because they had a disregard for the Golden Rule!

I'm bringing this up because the thinking implied by
the quote doesn't fit many of the offers the Internet
Newbie will encounter while searching for a business guide.

You can be a good, honest and hard working person and
still fall for many of the traps awaiting you in cyberspace!
The most appealing target for the experienced Web con
man, is the Newbie's lack of experience and knowledge!

All over the Net there are offers constantly bombarding
Newbies with the latest systems and applications; "new"
methods that will grow a business with a minimum effort!

Some of them are given fancy names: "the K-15 System
Will Make You Wealthy!" or, "You Have a Ground Floor
Opportunity with G-ZAP, get in now because it won't be
available tomorrow...."

The above offers should be investigated from heat to
toe! Many of them are simply more of the same re-hashed
information aimed at Internet business Newbies.

One of the main reasons Internet Marketers continue
coming up with so many new programs, applications and
systems is known as "Internet Time." Internet products
have a very short shelf life; what was the latest thing a
year ago will now be old news!

That isn't to say there aren't good systems and
technology. However, due diligence is a requirement to
ascertain the value of any offer presented.

Take your time and look at the offer to examine it with a
fine tooth comb! You should check out any buzzword
filled business offer with extra caution!

Ask all the questions you need answered until you're
sure you understand what you're getting into. If there
are no straight answers to be had, perhaps you should
reconsider.

Kick 2 Telugu Movie Review and Rating

Release date : August 21, 2015

AuthorRating : 3.25/5

Director : Surender Reddy

Producer : Nandamuri Kalyan Ram

Music Director : SS. Thaman

Starring : Ravi Teja, Rakul Preet Singh, Ravi Kishan, Brahmanandam

Story: -

Robin Hood (Ravi Teja) is a doctor who comes to India to solve their land disputes. There he meets Chaitra (Rakul Preet) and falls for her. One day Chaitra is suddenly kidnapped by gunmen and Robin Hood is left defenseless. As time passes, Robin Hood discovers Chaitra is held hostage in his home village called Vikaspuri. He decides to take matters in hand and goes to his village to save it.Twist in the tale arises when he crosses path with Suleman Singh Thakur (Ravi Kishan) is troubling the villagers with its vicious activities. Rest of the story is how Robin Hood saves the village from the evil clutches of Suleman Thakur and also wins her love.

Plus Points: -

Undoubtedly, Ravi Teja is the greatest asset of the film. Soon to tell, it is his strong screen presence that holds the movie together. Maharaja mass is quite hilarious in the first half and gives a balanced and emotional performance in the second.Rakul Preet gets a meaty role and is perfect for both the village and modern avatars. His crackling chemistry with Ravi Teja and lights up the screen. First half of the film is very entertaining and has all the elements that are expected of a typical movie Ravi Teja. Brahmanandam the track with Ravi Teja and comedy episodes evokes great laughter.Yet another major advantage of the film is dull Thaman of the background score that elevates the film to another level. Second half of the film becomes high on emotions. The film takes a new job interval dimension and the last twenty minutes have superb mass elements. Ravi Kishan is formidable as the main villain and did a pretty decent job.

Negative points: -

Although the film is high on emotions, the second half lack basic entertainment. Hearing that come with certain expectations related to comedy in the launch franchise could get a little disappointed. The first fifteen minute job interval is boring and unnecessarily stretching the film.Yet another major drawback of the film is the predictability of the script. There are no surprises when you tend to be surprised of the procedure. Ravi Teja looks too thin in some scenes.Coup 2 moves on a single thread and does not give much room for comedy in the second half. Film length is too long as many scenes could be easily modified.

Technical aspects:-

Surender Reddy's films have always been high on technical values and Coup 2 does not fall short of its expectations. the camera work is amazing as rustic villages were presented with a superb manner. All selected sites natural look and bring a special flavor to the film. The mounting is smaller than the average as many scenes could be removed to make the film crisp.Dialogues are very good and suitable body language of Ravi Teja. Thaman's music is superb, as all the songs were shot exceptionally well. Scenario is a bit predictable, but catches the pace at the end. 2 shot seems quite large and the credit should go to producer Kalyan Ram to avoid compromising the film's production values.Coming to the director Surender Reddy, he had a huge responsibility to repeat the magic Kick it manages to some extent. This time, it gives due importance to emotions and treats the film on a serious note.

Verdict:-

Overall, Coup 2 is yet another movie mass Ravi Teja which offers entertainment and emotions in equal doses. But the lack of basic entertainment in the second half to drop the film to some extent. However, a first half hilarious, beautiful songs and a strong presence in Ravi Teja screen in the film about the shadow of these faults and decently entertain you with its emotional content.

A Call to End Format Wars, Boost On Demand and Untether Digital Downloads

Want to own the current Holy Grail invention of blue laser but are disappointed that no one format offers movies from all major studios? Want to watch any TV show or movie on demand but can't find enough content available? Want to buy songs in open mp3 format but can't find enough songs sold that way? You're not alone, and the industry should know their customer better.

The music, television, movie and consumer electronics industries (hereafter collectively referred to as the industry) have been struggling with the rapid advance of technology and the new virtuality of content. Here are the top eight things the industry should do to harness the technology and recapture the simple tenet of giving the customer what they want.

1. End format wars.

When a new format is needed to advance the industry to the next level, there should be one and only one format that goes to market and becomes the standard. This applies to both online virtual formats and offline physical formats.

The current example in physical formats is Blu-ray vs. HD DVD. Two formats were necessary at first to spur competition, but the differences between them at this point are so negligible that ultimately one has to win for either to succeed. A standards body needs to exist to allow competition at first and to oversee a limited beta period to ensure customer opinions are factored in, but then to ultimately pick a winner before full-scale market launch. Companies should be required to register candidate formats in the early stages. The standards body should track investment and invention level of each candidate along the way. Then a winner should be chosen with a percentage of the licensing revenue going to all of the candidates commensurate with their investment and invention level. The candidates either agree to these terms from the get-go or they do not participate in determining and profiting from the next generation format.

The current example in virtual formats is mp3 vs. AAC vs. WMA vs. yet others for audio, and mpeg-4 (H.264) vs. WMV (VC-1) vs. yet others for video. The industry should have standardized on mp3 and mpeg-4 a long time ago to ensure that all content will be universally playable on every device.

Correcting this immediately is essential. The industry should get a standards body in place as soon as possible and declare much overdue industry standards, such as Blu-ray, mp3 and mpeg-4. The marketplace will rejoice, sales will skyrocket and the floodgates will open on the dam the industry itself has been one of the largest contributors to building.

2. Offer three consumption models.

a. Offer all content free with ads.

All content should be available on demand all the time free with ads. The best examples of this so far are music videos at mtv.com and music.yahoo.com and TV shows at in2tv.aol.com. The worst examples of this are the television networks who still insist on having their content time expire after only a short period of availability. Networks should use the ad model to make their entire catalog of shows, current and past, available for free all the time. All media stores, such as iTunes, should also introduce the option of listening to or watching a brief ad per 10 minutes of content or so in order to enjoy the entire content rather than just short preview clips.

b. Rent all content without ads for a fee.

This is the same as 2a only without the ads for a fee. The best examples of this so far are Netflix and Yahoo! Music Unlimited. With the former, for as low as $8.99 per month, you can rent any movie in the store, and that now includes some that can be watched directly online. With the latter, for as low as $5.99 per month, you can listen to every song in the store as many times as you want with no ads. All media stores and sites should offer this option.

c. Sell all content Digital Rights Management(DRM, or copy protection)-free.

There will still always be a market for owning content outright, such as for those times where you just don't have an Internet connection or don't want to be tethered to a server. In these cases, for both online virtual formats and offline physical formats, DRM simply should go. It has proven to hamper sales significantly due to treating everyday paying customers as if they are pirates, restricting them to play back the content on too few devices, giving them the chore of backing up and managing licenses on their computer and violating their fair use rights. DRM will always be defeatable and the industry simply needs to stop investing an inordinate amount of time and money into something that has a negative impact on their bottom line. The industry should abandon it and get back to the basic premise of allowing the customer the joy of experiencing the content they paid for without any strings attached. The best example of this so far is EMI which is now allowing media stores to sell their songs DRM-free.

3. Wireless Internet-enable all devices.

The computer cannot be the only access point. TVs, cable boxes, disc players, DVRs, game consoles, portables, boom boxes, phones, car head units - in short all playback devices - should come with built-in wireless connection to the Internet for access to content servers. The best examples of this so far are the Playstation 3 and the iPhone/iPod touch Wi-Fi Music Store.

4. Allow playlists to be defined and stored on the servers.

What 2a and 2b do is move us away from the need to store and manage our own copies of the content on our client devices (or on our shelves). Moving playlists off of the clients is a natural extension of that. When we can dial up all content including our favorite playlists on demand all the time anywhere we have an Internet connection, the convenience of not having to permanently store and backup our own copies of the data will start to prevail. The best example of this so far is Yahoo! Music Jukebox.

5. Offer movies by the chapter in addition to whole.

Just as the norm is now to be able to buy individual songs rather than just whole albums, the same option should be available for buying the individual chapters of movies. Doing so would offer the same advantages as individual song sales - the ability to collect favorite chapters at lower cost and storage use, the ability to direct-access chapters on playback and the ability to arrange favorite chapters from various movies into playlists. Note that this would require players to pre-cache the next chapter to ensure gapless chapter-to-chapter playback, but that is certainly doable.

6. Offer a choice of bitrates.

Highly compressed bitrates were fine at first, but there is no doubt that even with today's bandwidth and storage (which will only grow with time), those who want to enjoy higher bitrates should have the option. With 2a and 2b, bandwidth is the primary factor, and clearly higher bitrates are possible even today. With 2c online formats, storage is also a factor, but even with today's capacities some may choose quality over quantity for must-have content.

7. Piggyback audio on video for physical formats.

The industry moving to a new physical format is a big undertaking. Assuming a new HD format succeeds for video, then audio should just piggyback on that success. The video format will obviously have enough capacity for audio, and consumers will not have to buy additional players. Previous HD audio attempts of DVD-Audio and Super Audio CD failed for several reasons - separate audio-only players, no single digital connection such as HDMI, format war, etc. - all of which can be avoided once either Blu-ray or HD DVD is declared the standard. Albums in uncompressed PCM, both 2-channel stereo and multi-channel surround, with HD extras such as music videos, live concert footage and still photos all played through an existing player with single HDMI connection would be very compelling. With lossless compression such as Dolby TrueHD, perhaps entire album box sets could fit on one disc. These are exciting new possibilities.

8. Leverage viral marketing.

This is an extension of 2a. Provide url-addressability to free ad-coupled content that sites anywhere can provide links to - it essentially equates to free marketing for you. It doesn't matter from where the eyeballs found the content, just that they found it. More eyeballs means more ad revenue in your pocket and more exposure that will lead to the eventual purchase of the content and related merchandise such as concert tickets, t-shirts, posters, action figures, toys, etc. A free ad-supported lure has always been necessary (radio and TV) for widespread exposure. The best examples of this so far are music videos at mtv.com and music.yahoo.com and TV shows at in2tv.aol.com. Music, movies and all TV programs should get on board and realize the massive new source of constant ad revenue never before possible without the new technology.

These eight things would take the industry out of its current slump and carry it into unprecedented growth territory.

Lets Go Beat Up Some Smokers

The American public has been so inundated with anti-smoking information that it is no longer effective and commercials are becoming more and more outrageous. According to one of the latest commercials on Spike TV the tobacco industry supplied its products to have it featured in a Muppet movie. I thought I have seen every Muppet movie ever made and for the life of me I do not remember any Muppet movie that featured a cigarette. I must have missed that one.

The war on smoking has been going on for over 40 years now and it is not going well despite the preponderance of the evidence is that cigarette smoking damages ones health over the long run. Yes millions of people have quit smoking and yet millions more have also started during the same time period.

The same production company produces another commercial that shows a knucklehead trying to purchase light bullets for his gun and one if his statements is something like "cigarette companies are labeling there cigarette with light and ultralights even though they are just as deadly as regular cigarette?". Lets see now, if I apply the same logic to air quality then if I lived in Linfen, China (dirtiest air in the world) or if I lived in Cape Grim, Tasmania (cleanest air in the world) I would still just as likely to develop respiratory problems because both have places have at least some air pollutions. Give me a break. If a tobacco company filed a law suite against that producer can you immanage the publicity that would be generated against the tobacco company? Its just not worth the effort.

Now don't get me wrong, I do not condone smoking. If you want to smoke great. If you do not want to smoke great. But if you try to force me to do either one we will then have a big problem. So why is it that this commercial producer can get away with blatantly false statements? It is because it is socially unacceptable to be a smoker. Smokers are in the minority and it is ok to beat up smokers today.

Do you know of anyone who would publicly admit to being pro smoking? Even smokers will tell you that they know it is bad for you and they are trying to quit or have tried to quit in the past but they will not admit to being pro smoking.

I do not have a problem with the anti smoking campaign but I do have a problem with the way society is allowing certain business and government practices to occur. Business have won law suites allowing them to not hire employees that smoke and to fire existing employees that do smoke. The bases if the law suite is that the health insurance cost would rise if they employee smokers. I have worked for a lot of companies over the last 40+ years and never once have I seen an insurance representative come into my company and taken a pole of how many smokers and nonsmokers were employed and then adjusted the companies insurance rate based on the results. The next time you update your resume, you may want to include references willing to vouch that you never touch tobacco.

I believe that all of the jurors on the employment issues of smokers were non smokers. Smokers were relieved from jury duty because they may be prejudice. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that in 2004 44.5 million U.S. adults were smokers comprising 20.9 percent of the adult population so 2 of them should have been smokers. Sounds like stacking the deck to me.

I think that I should be allowed to fire all of my employees that are over 40 years of age. After all older employees will use more health care benefits than younger employees so this policy should keep my insurance rates to a minimum. While I'm at it anyone with a higher than 12 percent body fat is gone. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported in 1989 that Obese people cost 51.5 billion in health care costs per year.

Here is an interesting fact. The Department of Public Health, Netherlands reported in 1997 that smokers have more diseases that nonsmokers but nonsmokers live longer and can incur more health costs at advanced ages. For a given age, smokers can cost 40 percent more in health care cost than nonsmokers and if all smokers quit today health care costs would be lower at first but after 15 years they would be higher than at present. That does it I'm going to fire everyone over 40.

Why does society allow this type of injustice happen? Because you as an individual do nothing. To paraphrase a popular saying; for injustice to occur all that is needed is for good people to do nothing. If it is ok with you that smokers are being punished for there actions then do not complain when it is your turn.

The New Movie Technologies

Movie presentation has come a long way since its beginnings. Undoubtedly, the most significant advancement is the introduction of digital cinema. It's this technology that makes 3D movies worth watching.

Three D (3D), with its funny glasses, is nothing new. Surround sound has been around for a long time, too. For those of you as old as me, remember the curved cinemascope screens?

All of these advancements have been made to enhance our feeling of being there when watching a movie in a theatre or cinema. But they were all missing something....something, Im pleased to say, that has now come to a theatre near you.

Digital cinema, in my opinion, is the only important development in the industry in decades. The reasons are obvious.

You can now watch the equivalent of high definition television images on a screen the size of a house.

No longer do you have to watch a washed-out looking third generation film print that comes complete with scratches, burn holes and grain.

The image is stable as a rock, since theyre not dragging film sprockets over registration pins as in a traditional projector.

Because the movie originates on a hard drive rather than big reels of film stock, the presentation is not limited to the jittery 24 frames-per-second rate. Smoother pans are now possible since, in the digital domain, algorithms can be applied to correct such artifacts.

No more pops and clicks. Again, sound originates from an entirely digital source.

What really motivated me to write this was my recent viewing of Avatar. The story line didnt get my bum into the seat at the theatre. It was interesting, but not the most compelling movie Ive ever seen. As a contractor for one of the companies that makes digital cinema projectors here in Ontario (and that supplied my local theatre), I was keen to see what digital projection, coupled with 3D technology, could do.

It was immediately clear to me that the same effect could not have been produced with film-based 3D. The timing was definitely right for Mr. Cameron to release this epic. Technology made it work. Any artifacts I detected were minor, brief and probably undetectable by the general populace. This was a perfect experience, flawless from corner to corner. I even found myself twitching to dodge a projectile that seemed to fly off the screen and whiz right by my head!

So whats next for the cinema experience? In my humble opinion, the quality and resolution of the visual presentation is now approaching the limits of what we humans can discern. So, maybe the wrap-around screen will make a comeback, or holograms. How about the stimulation of other senses, such as smell and touch?

And what about the home theatre? If the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is an accurate indicator, 3D HDTV will soon be coming to a living room near you. Think of it. Not only will you have to find the remote in the couch, but maybe your 3D glasses as well.

Natalie Portman is one of the best actresses of the moment. After playing in various movies ever since she was a child, her appearance in the Black Swan managed to bring her the well deserved Oscar award for Best Actress. Throughout the time she was in films like Closer, Leon: The Professional, V for Vendetta and Star Wars. However, Natalie Portman doesnt impress just with her great performances, but also with her stunning appearances on the red carpet. Every time she is invited to a show she pulls it off with some of the best wholesale corset ever. She wears designers such as Signorelli, Johnson, Joes Jeans, Lanvin, Dior etc.

One of the most gorgeous wholesale corset she wore was the Lanvin for H&M gown at the Gotham Independent Film Awards in 2010. This black dress with one shoulder made her look incredibly sexy and beautiful. The Dior clutch and the black pumps completed this look. Natalie Portman also showed off in 2010 at the AFI FEST. The gown she put on was also designed by Lanvin. The Bordeaux dress featured some gathered puff on one shoulder. The frock was accessorized with satin strappy heels. The color of the dress complimented her very well.

The AFI Life Achievement Award Ceremony in 2010 presented Natalie in the perfect pink dress. She had an ultra feminine appearance in the Christian Dior gown. The outfit was accessorized with a black clutch and ivory pumps. Out of all the wholesale corset worn by Natalie Portman, one of the greatest was the Jason Wu frock that she had on at the Cinema Society in 2009. For this event, Natalie combined the electric blue gown with a yellow purse designed by Christian Louboutin, purple satin heels created by Aldo and Tiffany jewelry.

Pink is a color thats very suitable for Natalie Portman. Many of her wholesale corset are pink. For example, at the Annual Academy Awards she wore a vividly pink frock, managing to stand out of the crowd of white dresses. The bodice of the dress was embellished with jewels. The ensemble was completed by a dark clutch and a cuff bracelet. Last, but not least, people have to admire Natalie Portmans appearance at the White House Correspondents Dinner in 2009. She made a very good impression wearing a black dress created by Balenciaga. The gown had a low neckline and a plated bodice. The diamond studs and the satin clutch completed this classy look.

Field of Dreams: Getting a Homerun With Your Keywords
By: Janet L. Hall

If you build it they will come, from the movie Field of
Dreams has become a popular phrase among newbies to
the Internet, uneducated web site owners, and those filled
with dreams of getting rich quick. That phrase is far from the
truth when it comes to your web site.

Many factors and variables come into play when trying to get
people to come to your web site, one of which is your choice
of keywords.

If youre using Microsoft FrontPage or a similar software
package to create your web pages, guess what? Keywords,
page titles, descriptions, and META TAGS are NOT
automatically put on your pages. These important variables
may be missing from your pages unless you enter the
information yourself.

Even worse, if youve hired someone to design your site and
pages for you and they dont know how important these
variables are and arent including themno one will find you,
your services, your productsno sales, no business.

The key to STARTING your field of dreams is to determine
the keywords people are using to find your web site OR the
number one keywords that are getting your competitors the
top rankings in the search pages. Please remember, this is
just the beginning, you have a lot more to learn, such as
where to place the keywords on your web pages, how many,
and much much more.

In turn, each search engine has it's own set of criteria or
requirements to enable your web site to be ranked near the
top of the search pages. And some, you can even buy your
way to the top of the pages.

So, how do you determine what keywords you need on your
pages to make a home run?

Seven Homerun Keyword Strategies:

Game Plan: Write out a list of keywords and have your
friends, family, and client's review for suggestions. Select
two to three dozen that are the most important for your web
pages. (NOTE - Each page on your site should have it's own
keywords.) If you already have keywords - this is a good
time to * OverHall * them .

Batting Order: Put your most important keywords near the
beginning of your TAGS (more about TAGS next time) and
at the top of your page.

Field Position: Know where to place your keywords
throughout your pages.

Double Play: Look up your keywords in a Thesaurus, such
as Roget's Internet Thesaurus at http://www.thesaurus.com ,
and use some of the alternative words as your keywords.

Signals: Don't forget to check out and use regional
terminology and common misspelling of words.

Clean up: Keyword and Statistical Software can be
purchased to assist in choice of keywords and the weight
(sometimes referred to as keyword density) of your
keywords.

7. Stealing Bases: What are your competitor keywords that
are ranking at the top of the search engines?

I hope you can get a Grand Slam!

Roping Saddle As A Comfort Tool

Basically roping saddle was designed and recognized as the distinct and the working tool of the famous character of the movie the cow boy.

The purpose of the saddle designing was mainly to enhance the comfortable and the smooth riding of the cow boy because the character spends long hours on the horse. The roping saddle also strengthens the riding, it ensures the security while riding and this feature also aids in the various racing of the cattle as well. Now days this tool has become a very important and a necessity during the riding as well. It is just like a guarantee that made you feel relax and confident while riding. The trend of theroping saddles mainly starts from Mexico and it is most commonly used in the South America and Mexico as well.

It is a very amazing tool for the beginning riders because it provides the secured travelling while learning the riding. Making Money Online and the Willing Suspense of Disbelief

Without the willing suspense of disbelief the great white shark in Jaws would just be a movie prop. To find out that has to do with avoiding internet money making scams read on...

Why do people who want to make money online, fall for scams and crazy schemes they wouldn't even think of entertaining in the "real" bricks and mortar world? I've seen a few reasons offered in response to this question. A lot of people put it down to greed and I daresay there is a fair bit of that about. It is also suggested that many of the people who are searching for a way to make money online are desperate and it is sheer desperation that makes them vulnerable. Some people blame the effectiveness of online advertising, and a well-written sales letter can go an awfully long way to persuading a reader to act against his better judgment. It is sometimes suggested that people see the Internet as a different kind of reality and that makes them prone to doing things they would not otherwise consider.

My personal feeling is that a combination of all those reasons is often what makes normally sensible people abandon reason and fall for an Internet scam or some kind of doubtful online money making scheme. I have never forgotten studying English Literature at university and learning about the concept of the "willing suspense of disbelief". That's the thing that enables us to enjoy watching a drama or reading a novel; we know it is just a made-up story and the characters aren't real but, in order to get full enjoyment out of the experience, we willingly suspend our disbelief and allow the characters and their dramas to be real to us. This ability to suspend aspects of the way we think is played upon by copywriters who target people looking for ways to make money online.

If we were not willing to believe (at least for 90 minutes or so) that the hero in the latest action movie is a real person, we would not enjoy the movie to any great extent. A good storyline, great scenery and impressive special effects do not make a gripping movie. All of these things would be wasted if we did not believe in the characters. It is only when we care about or identify with the characters that the movie successfully moves, interests or excites us.

If you think about some of the greatest movies of all time, you will know what I mean. Take Gone With The Wind: this is only a compelling movie if we believe (for the duration of the movie) that Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler are real people. Without that belief and consequent interest in the fate of the characters, the storyline alone would not inspire generations of people to watch the movie over and over again. When you watch Jaws, you have to believe the characters are real and are in danger of being consumed by the (also real) shark; if you don't employ this belief, you won't enjoy the film because there would be no excitement in it for you. Whether you are viewing a love story, a "person in peril" situation or a fight for justice in a courtroom drama, the same thing applies: you must be willing to believe in the characters for the story to have meaning.

The human brain is a strange and complex mechanism which allows us to "turn off" aspects of thinking which are, in effect, integral parts of our personality. This suspense of disbelief is what enables children to enjoy games of imagination: if you ask a three-year old whether her teddy bear can really talk the reply will most probably be "of course not" but the knowledge that she is pretending, does not remove the child's enjoyment of games where teddy "talks" to her.

When you are looking for ways to make money online, don't allow your disbelief to be suspended willingly; hang on to your suspicions and cynicism, and remember the Internet is part of our world and not a parallel virtual reality or a movie set.

Fireplace Mantels That Set the Scene in Eight Classic Films

This is a fun article that movie lovers will enjoy as they take a walk down memory lane. It presents the authors perspective on the impact that the fireplace mantel has had on eight classic, well known and popular films.

The design of a fireplace can be linked interchangeably with the term home. Fireplace mantels come in different styles and silhouettes and Hollywood has taught us that fireplace mantels can be the most important character in the scene of a film.

The placement of a fireplace usually sets the mood by creating an expression of amour or by building up the suspense for tragedy. The fireplace is linked as Hollywoods ideal scene backdrop.

(1) Pa Bailey stated in Its a Wonderful Life that satisfying a fundamental urge, it's deep in the race for a man to want his own roof and walls and fireplace If you have ever seen this classic, you are well aware that the film is pure Americana and represents the true meaning of the American dream.

(2) Viewed as one of the greatest films of all time is Orson Welles Citizen Kane. This film is a perfect example of how fireplaces add an important role to landscape settings. The enormous Xanadu fireplace mantel, which appears to reach about 10 feet in height, is placed in several scenes throughout the movie, ominously indicative of Kanes loss. There are two scenes in this film where the fireplace emphasizes the plot and adds significance to the storyline. One is when the sled Rosebud is thrown into the fire because it is seen as junk. The second one is where you see the stilled image of Kanes portrait above the mantle dominating all the loneliness he surveys. These scenes add suspense and agony, perhaps even irony, not only affecting the characters in the film but also influencing the audience watching them.

(3) Fireplace mantels can create a romantic feel to the ambiance of a particular scene. Many are familiar with the classic episodes of Star Wars. In episode two, Attack of the Clones the films two major characters, Anakin and Padme, share a forbidden romance. The romance shared between the two come together in this one scene, which becomes an important facet in their love story. The scene illuminates the passion between Leia and Luke. Having the fireplace mantel in this scene creates a warm surrounding for the couple, thus adding to the elements of the plot.

(4) In the movie Titanic, the appearance of the fireplace mantel helps the setting by creating the representation of the upper class. The famous drawing scene is located in one of the upper level rooms. The fireplace is lit in the background and generates a darker light, which in turn glazes over both of the characters faces. This scene is one of the most important because it establishes the connection between both Rose and Jack when she asks Jack to paint her wearing only the necklace. Another scene within this film is towards the very end, where the architect of the ship stands in front of the fireplace looking at the clock and watching it move from one end to the other, realizing that there is no hope for the ship.

(5) The design of the fireplace mantels gives off a sense of plot in a movie whether adding a classic feeling decorated with dark mahogany or an eerie mood with a traditional finish. As illustrated in the movie The Birds nothing compares to the fireplace scene. The feeling of tragedy is lurking and the eerie design of the fireplace makes this scene extremely important to the storyline. The scene begins calmly with a conversation over tea and escalates to having a flock of irate birds swarming around them trying to attack.

(6) Most are aware of the supernatural film Beetle Juice that brought fear with laughter to young and old alike. The movie brings together both afterlife and the living structuring the storyline location within the home of the main characters. The home has a very quaint feeling to it, showing various points in the film in the living room where there is aged furniture and a rustic styled fireplace with a grimy mantle, giving off the sense of a ghostly presence. The importance of the setting adds to the ethereal sensation that the characters are in the company of ghosts.

(7) Along with the paranormal film mentioned above come others that possess the same sentiments such as the movie Young Frankenstein. Here, the fireplace is more deceiving than not and opens up a more mystical allusion. The fireplace mantel is actually hidden behind a bookshelf, which converts into a fireplace. The secret passages shown in the scenes carry out the spiritual and strange moods that are trying to be created from the plot.

(8) Meet the Parents may be one of a very few films that combines both humor and calamity. One of the most popular scenes presented is the one where Ben Stiller attempts to open a champagne bottle having the cork shatter the cremation urn that sits on top of the fireplace mantel. The urn instantly spills the remains of Grandma Brynes all over the carpeted floor, which instantaneously becomes the litter box for the family cat.

Fireplace mantels have a dcor far different from any other home furnishing. They add warmth and comfort giving that feeling of security. Fireplace mantels can also add a touch of sophistication and elegance if that is your preference. The addition of a fireplace mantel can finalize the ideal vision of how one may want their home to look like. It can transform a home from being dark and uninviting to a warm country getaway.

Such an addition also allows that extra touch of luxury to a household thus creating the perfect atmosphere for family gatherings. It helps create that final touch and adds emphasis and ambiance to that special room. The feeling may be romantic, elegant and sophisticated, eerie or even warm and cozy. So, what kind of mood do you want to set with your fireplace mantel?

Computer movies What are they? How can they help your business? How do they work?

What are they?

Usually in the form a Flash program, a computer movie displays a series of actions on the screen to show a viewer the steps needed to complete a process.

The important word here is show. People extract fully eighty percent of information from the visual and only twenty percent from words spoken or written. By showing the trainee what is required, rather than listing the requirements in an instruction, the lesson is better and more quickly learned.

Movies can be interactive, that is they can be made to pause and wait for input from the viewer. This input can cause the movie software to feed back corrective information, or take a different branch down a diagnostics path, or be stored for analysis of user input.

In addition to the animation, informational slides or interactive question-and-answer slides make up the movie content. These are enhanced with computer screen shot and digital photography graphics and deliver to the viewer a highly visual training session with emphasis on product and component identification.

How can they help your business?

Training movies and instructional movies are becoming more popular and are now even used by some Universities to deliver degree level instruction - http://www.cont-ed.cam.ac.uk/elearning/

Though computer based movies have been around for some years its only relatively recently they have become the method of choice for internal training.

Trainees can be schooled in complex processes individually, without the need for dedicated training rooms or the need to schedule training sessions. The training function becomes an anytime, anyplace process. All that is needed for a session is one trainee and one computer. The movie content can be delivered on CD, data stick, network connection, Intranet or Internet.

How do they work?

In training each movie describes a process that has been defined as a competency requirement. The trainee is given computer time, in the place of taking up the resource of another employee or a trainer. Each individual can learn at their own pace, taking as many runs through the movie as necessary to learn the process.

Movies can be created for learning basic functions such as use of correct telephone manner or simple word processor usage, or they can be used to cover complex diagnostic processes on technical products.

Released in 1998, "Dirty Work" because one of the funniest, underground, buddy comedy movies. Starring Norm Macdonald and Artie Lange, the film was first lauded as a mega flop, but has since grown to become loved by those with dark humor and a love for the actors in the film. The film starts out with an introduction of Mitch, played by Norm Macdonald, who gets fired from his pizza delivery job within minutes of the movie starting. As soon as life spins into turmoil within the first five minutes of the film, fans knew they were in for a treat.

He eventually is dumped by his girlfriend and is forced to move in with his pizza loving best friend, Sam, who is played by Artie Lange. Sam's father is living in Sam's house, and eventually the boys find out that this man, who was as much of a father to Mitch as Sam during their youth, required a heart transplant. Since Mitch has been fired from his pizza job, the duo set out to start a "dirty work for hire" business. The business plays devious and sometimes harmful pranks on people who are out to get revenge, but require some plausible deniability in doing so.

This film was directed by Bob Saget, popular father on the 90s sitcom, Full House, and later host of America's Funniest Videos. Because of Saget's close connections with the Hollywood comedy scene, comic all starts, Chevy Chase, Don Rickles, and Chris Farley also had roles in the film. Another lover of pizza, Chris Farley's character, Jimmy, is missing half of his nose which had been "bitten off by a Saigon whore." It would eventually be Jimmy, using an army of live skunks and prostitutes who would ultimately help save the day at the end of the film.

The film had a budget of $13 million but was only able to gross slightly over $10 million. In Hollywood, this is often considered a failure of a film, but the two main characters have said publicly how proud they were that it became a cult hit. A constant center of jokes on the Howard Stern show, much of Artie Lange's fanbase cite this film as one of their favorites. Even Norm Macdonald has said that working with Don Rickles for a day was one of the most treasured times of his career. Indeed, working with comics Chevy Chase and Chris Farley must have been absolutely amazing.

The film was written by Frank Sebastiano, Fred Wolf, and Norm Macdonald. It was produced by Robert Simonds, who helped produce other cult classics like Problem Child, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Airheads, Half Baked, and most recently, This Means War. While reviewers gave Dirty Work a 17% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it holds a whopping 65% with viewers, proving its cult status among fans of all the fantastic comics in the film.

The Panic Puzzle Review: The Real Smash Hit Cure!

Have you ever heard of Panic Puzzle? It sounded like the title of a blockbuster movie. When I first heard about it I thought it was a movie with Brad Pitt in it. I told a friend about it and suggested we read The Panic Puzzle Review. I told my friend well watch it together and she just laughed at me.

Have you ever known of the Panic Puzzle? It sounded like the title of a smash hit movie. When I first heard about it I thought it was a movie with Brad Pitt in it. I told a buddy about it and recommended we read The Panic Puzzle Review. I told my buddy well watch it together and she just laughed at me.
Well it seems that I was not updated. Panic Puzzle is not a movie but a book! To be correct, it is an ebook. And because of my gaffe I got very curious enough to read it. I didnt just read the Panic Puzzle reviews. I acquired my own copy!
After reading the closing sentence, this is what you will learn: If you have never heard of The Panic Puzzle, then you are missing out on one of your best chances of getting rid of panic and anxiety attacks. This ebook will educate you how to recognize the games your mind is playing. Once you master this very functional system, you can circumvent your mind from causing you any further harm.
If you grab hold of the Panic Puzzle reviews, you will find stories of commonplace people who have effectively tried the four-step procedure found in the Panic puzzle. Not one of the reviews show accurately what these four steps are. So overlook your plans to cheat in discovering that information for free. Even so, you will get some remarks on how useful these methods really are. To site one example, some people were once plagued by some sort of fear they were able to defeat. Fear of heights, enclosed spaces and social gatherings are just to name a few.
In one of the reviews, a woman from Wisconsin uttered how pleased she is to have been taught how to be in command of of her own life in her own terms. She was taken back to the core of herself not realizing that it was her panic attacks that ruined her job and relations with loved ones. She didnt realize until then that she can prevent the downward trend by simply checking in her thoughts. In the what she wrote, she is willing to give up anything-even half her pension-if someone had taught her years back what her symptoms were and how she can prevent with just one thought.
This is an ebook that changed my view and I would never look at terrifying conditions the same way again. I will work on realigning my frame of mind so instead of seeing obstacles, I see opportunities for growth. I will not be persecuted by anxiety and panic attacks. And of course, I will end thinking of Brad Pitt whenever I hear Panic Puzzle.
