Having personally developed well over 100 websites since 1997 I am always stunned by people complaining that there website is a failure and blaming the person who built it.

Having a website is only half the battle! You must promote, promote, and then promote some more. No matter how great your product is no one can buy it unless they know about it.

First let me say that having someone develop a custom website for you is very important. Go cheap and buy a prefab website is usually a prelude to failure. Yes they are affordable and I know you are on a tight budget but never forget You Get What You Pay For.

Now to the point. There is a simple formula for success. Spend money = make money. Sounds easy right?

First figure out what you can afford to pay a developer for your website, if you have a product to sell you should be thinking in the $1000 range. Also find a developer who believes in web standards, trust me this is important.

Next figure out a monthly advertising budget and spend it wisely. This is by far the most import advice I can give. Your website is not going to shoot to the top of the search engines or miraculously develop visitors all on its own. If you build it they will come, from the movie Field of

the Internet, uneducated web site owners, and those filled
with dreams of getting rich quick. That phrase is far from the
truth when it comes to your web site.

Many factors and variables come into play when trying to get
people to come to your web site, one of which is your choice
of keywords.

If youre using Microsoft FrontPage or a similar software
package to create your web pages, guess what? Keywords,
page titles, descriptions, and META TAGS are NOT
automatically put on your pages. These important variables
may be missing from your pages unless you enter the
information yourself.

Even worse, if youve hired someone to design your site and
pages for you and they dont know how important these
variables are and arent including themno one will find you,
your services, your productsno sales, no business.

The key to STARTING your field of dreams is to determine
the keywords people are using to find your web site OR the
number one keywords that are getting your competitors the
top rankings in the search pages. Please remember, this is
just the beginning, you have a lot more to learn, such as
where to place the keywords on your web pages, how many,
and much much more.

In turn, each search engine has it's own set of criteria or
requirements to enable your web site to be ranked near the
top of the search pages. And some, you can even buy your
way to the top of the pages.

So, how do you determine what keywords you need on your
pages to make a home run?

Seven Homerun Keyword Strategies:

Game Plan: Write out a list of keywords and have your
friends, family, and client's review for suggestions. Select
two to three dozen that are the most important for your web

Continuing with the trend of small budget films, yet another film which has hit the screens today is Anaganga Oka Chitram. Directed by Prabhakar Reddy, this film has hit the screens today.

Story: -

Soma Raju (Shiva) is a carefree youth who takes responsibility for the compensation (Megha Lanka) all financial problems of his girlfriend. On the other choice, with his friend kidnaps a wealthy man (Sayaji Shinde) from a bar.Unfortunately for them, the rich man proves to be the DGP of Hyderabad. Hell breaks and a fear of death Shva decided to postpone the DGP to the police. The moment is about to do a dreaded naxal group kidnaps the DGP with Shiva and his band.Rest of the story is how Shiva sorts things and frees everyone from the Naxalites trap.

Plus Points: -

One plus point of the filmis based Vennela Kishore. He is the only actor who gives his best and trying to save the film itself. Her character was written very well and evokes a comedy when he's around.Prabhas Seenu doing his job and trying to provoke a few laughs during the first half. Hero Shiva has not much to do and play their role to the best of his ability. Sri Megha looks good but has no scope for action. Sayaji Shinde and Suriya perform their roles extremely well.

Negative points: -

This movie makes absolutely no sense that the proceedings move randomly throughout the film. None of the characters whose hero has no weight in the film. People continue to arrive regularly and irritate the audience much time.First half of the film is going for a draw that some illogical scenes and silly narration center stage. Film is painfully slow pace that procedures have to ever conclude. The pre-climax, the entry of Pruthvi and silly comedy makes matters worse for viewers.

Technical aspects: -

Songs from the movie are somewhat decent and were also shot well. The edition is horrible at least 20 minutes of the film could have been cut blindly. Scenario is a huge disappointment that procedures have absolutely no clarity and meaning.Coming to the Director Prabhakar Reddy, it makes a huge mess of a decent story line. The film that looks good on paper is murdered by his performance leaves extremely low. Not once during this film, you can see something interesting.

Verdict:-

Overall, Anaganaga Oka Chitram is a huge disappointment in the form of its execution. Except for the sincere approach Vennela Kishore, there is not much hope in this lack of lusture film and can be safely ignored this weekend.

So why weren't the cells in Auric Goldfinger's US ranch set up with such equipment, especially considering he had high tech equipment like lasers, nuclear bombs and cars made out of solid gold?

They wouldn't need to be big, and in fact the smaller they were the lesser chance that the hero would find them and disable them in a bid to get the guards to enter the room.

At the very least Goldfinger should have told guards to get 10 guards with big machine guns to investigate when a prisoner suddenly 'disappeared' from the cell.

The story jumps to the present day, where Blakefinally meets "The Prime Merlinian, a young 10 year old boy named DaveStutler (played by Jay Baruchel) , when he wanders into Blake's magic store andaccidentally frees Horvath.

Horvath dedicates the rest of his life to freeingthe evil Morgana and destroying the mortal world. But a clever plot twistresults in Horvath and Blake getting trapped together in an urn. Eventually 10 moreyears pass until they are freed. Horvath immediately begins his quest to freeMorgana. Blake has no choice but to search for that kid who walked into hisshop 10 years ago.

He finds the kid, David, as a 20 year old, nerdyNYU science major. David is Blakes only hope of freeing Veronica and defeatingthe combined forces of Horvath and Morgana.

The rest of the movie deals with Blake teachinghis new apprentice David the finer points of wizardry in preparation for theshowdown with the evil wizards. This will remind older viewers of the Master /Apprentice scenes in Star Wars where Yoda tutors Luke Skywalker in preparationof his battle with Darth Vader. The special effects and CGI during this portionof the film is spectacular.

Nicholas Cage is just great when he can play quirkycharacters, and his wizard is just fantastic. He delivers lines with amusingsmirks that would sound so corny if uttered by other actors. But as we discoverlater on, he is a dangerous foe when the chips are down.

As the apprentice, Jay Baruchel is just aboutperfect as the nerdy college student who at first treats Blake as a crazyvagabond, then slowly begins to realize just how powerful he really is. Hisearly training scenes with Cage are priceless as he slowly learns of his latentwizard abilities.

But the scene everyone is talking about of course,is the one where the too big for his britches Dave tries out some magic onhis own to an attempt to short-cut his chores after the Sorcerer Blake leaves.The dancing brooms and never ending buckets of water are all here as Dave triesdesperately to undo his errant magic spell. The director and actors nailed thisscene. And the look on the Sorcerer Blakes face when he walks into this messis easily one of the best double takes of the year.

The main components of the National Treasuremovies are here director Jon Turteltaub, actor Nicholas Cage and JerryBruckheimer. As in that successfulseries, the director blends a nice combination of action and comedy. The moviedoesnt overdo the special effects except in the magic scenes.

I would have never thought it possible to create afeature length film from a small animated sequence of Disneys Fantasia.

Kalyan Ram is currently high on the success of Patas. After a brief gap, he is back with yet another commercial entertainer Sher. Also starring Sonal Chauhan, this film has hit the screens today. Let’s see whether Kalyan Ram continues his winning streak or not.

Story: -

Gautam (Kalyan Ram) is a happy go lucky man who goes to any extent for her family. One day he gets into a huge tiff with a gangster named Puppy (Vikramajeet) and disrupts his marriage.A puppy bowled Gautam challenges than comes into his life as a lover or wife, it will eventually kill them. What is Gautam doing now? How could he save his family? and where Nandu (Sonal Chauhan) feature makes this whole establishment. Which forms the rest of the story.

Plus Points: -

As always, Kalyan Ram offers an honest performance. It is very impressive with its dances and looks graceful in the songs. The credit goes to director Mallikarjun for presenting it in a way quite elegant. One can easily say that it is the backbone and carries the entire film on his shoulders.Sonal Chauhan seems glamorous and good chemistry shares Kalyan Ram. First twenty minutes and the episode in the first half challenge was well designed. Brahmanandam is good in bits. First half of the filmis decent and has some interesting moments.Bang interval was well designed and the last 10 minutes during the climax was also treated well. Fights composed by Ram Lakshman are good and most elegant. Mukesh Rishi is suitable as the main villain and so was Vikramajit.

Negative points: -

Some key logic are absent big moment in the film. At least two or three scenes should have been added to enhance the whereabouts of the family of Ram Kalyan after such a major incident which is the point in the driving film. This thread was left alone and the film lacks emotion in various fields.Second half is a little messy as the procedure is predictable and boring. History is old age and has been used in many films in the past. There is no factor of interest or emotion that connects the audience throughout the film. Everything appears as episodes, but when you see them as one, there is something missing completely.

Technical aspects:-

Thaman's music is decent as he gave some interesting figures. camera work is as good as all the songs have been shot wonderfully. Scenario is below par and just click in the first half. The assembly is correct and so was the background score.Coming to the Director Mallikarjun, Sher is a much better movie from its previous business as it creates an interesting point of conflict in this film. But it was during the second half of what it loses grip and the film tells a predictable manner.

Verdict:-

Overall, Sher is yet another routine commercial artist who was released this week. Ram Kalayan sincere performances and a decent first half are essential assets. But a lack luster second half, logic-defying scenes and missing emotions spoil the fun. Watch it only if you have nothing else to do.

25 Years of Fantasy Swords in the Movies: A Retrospective

Twenty-five years ago the movie Conan spotlighted the Atlantean sword. They designed and created a unique sword just for the movie and this started a new trend in fantasy movie making, and today, just about every fantasy movie is released with a collectible sword. Here is a look at some of these great movies and the swords in them.

The movie Conan, with Arnold Schwarzenegger, was released in 1982 and the sword called "The Atlantean" was specifically designed for the movie and for the actor. It was given a major role in the movie because it played a major role in the Conan stories and novels written by Robert E. Howard. The sword itself proved to be very popular and replicas were created for sale on the mass market. Twenty-five years later replicas of the Atlantean are still made and sold. This sword started a whole trend in movie making and today fantasy moviemakers take great care to design, create, and market unique swords as part of the movie and as part of their marketing. This can be seen in the recently released movie 300, which has caused a resurgence in the gladiator type sword. And the new Harry Potter movie will spotlight a sword wielded by Harry himself. This sword replica has already been released and is available in currently limited quantities on the mass market.

The Highlander movies, (First installment released in 1986) are another good example of the sword as a centerpiece of the movie. The swords play a major role in the film plot in that the sword must be used to dispatch a foe, and consequently, to gain the foes powers. In the first film a Scottish Claymore was used and as the Highlander moves through time into the present he switches to a highly stylized version of Japanes katanas. This use of the Japanes katana is one of the earliest examples of mass marketing of Japanese swords and this has been very successfully followed in the Kill Bill movies.

Braveheart (released in 1995) is a good example of using replica swords that stay true to the flavor of the time period they portray. Mel Gibson wields a number of different weapons that stay accurate to the time of the movie. These weapons include a warhammer and a flail. The most famous of the weapons that he wields is A Flamberge which is a two-handed sword with a leather wrapping around a portion of the blade which allows the user to choke up on the weapon and use it in close combat situations.

Blade (1996-2004) is a series of vampire movies that use a variety of weapons including flailing, and whipping weapons. The primary weapon of the main character (Wesley Snipes) is a Japanese Katana that has the added effect of a booby trap. If a person picks up the weapon they have a few seconds to press a secret button. If they dont, secret blades pop out of the handle damaging the hand that is holding it. This series of movies are another good example of how the Japanese katana has become very popular in the movies.

Gladiator (2000) is a good example of how the weapons of the high Roman era have made their mark on movies and on the collecting of swords. The Roman Gladius wielded by Maximus (Russell Crowe) is a good example of the weapon that was wielded at the time and it is still a popular choice of weapon collectors.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy of movies (2001 2003) have had an impact on the collecting of movie swords that goes beyond all other movies. This movie returned the collector to the art of the pure fantasy sword much like the Conan sword. While the trend in movies was to create period accurate replicas this series of movies moved the whole trend toward the creation of fantastic blades that represented the wielders personality. Each major character in the movies has his own or her own weapon. Each weapon is unique, and easily available on the mass market for collectors.

Eragon (2006) continues the tradition of unique fantasy sword in that the main character wields a beautiful sword called Zarroc. This sword has a blue Sapphire mounted at the base of the hilt and the sword itself has significant power and symbolism. It plays an important role in the movie and an important role in the replica collection world.

The past twenty-five years of filmmaking has given us a wonderful selection of fantasy swords that are both accurate reproductions from the real swords of the past and exciting creations of fantasy that never existed except in the minds of writers and blacksmiths.
