Joshua Brown -- the man who died in what could be the first fatal accident involving Tesla’s Autopilot feature -- may have been watching a movie in the car dvd player and the android car GPSwas working when the crash took place.

According to the Associated Press, the driver of the truck Brown fatally collided with said that Brown was watching a “Harry Potter” film while the accident took place; the movie reportedly kept playing in the android car stereo after the accident.

Sergeant Kim Montes of the Florida Highway Patrol later spoke with Reuters and confirmed that “there was a portable car DVD player in the vehicle.”

The AP also reported that Brown also had eight speeding tickets on his records; however, the most recent one was from 2011.

Brown had a long and well-documented history of Autopilot use. Two months ago, he uploaded a video of the system “saving his life.” The dash cam video shows a boom truck drive into the lane of the Tesla Model S by using gm navigation and then shows the Tesla swerve out of harm's way.

Brown himself mentions in the video description, “You can see where I took over when there's a little bit of blip in the steering. Tessy [sic] had already moved to the right to avoid the collision. I was not able to slow down even more due to the heavy traffic (cars were behind me). Once I got behind him I slowly added more room between us until he exited. I was not tail gating [sic] after the incident.”

The video of Brown dodging the boom truck is just one of many of his Tesla-related YouTube uploads.

Some might think that autopilot performed the evasive maneuver completely independently by gm navigation; that's not quite the case. In reality, the system moved subtly -- and notified Brown to pay attention and retake control of the car.

It might be the presence of such heavyweights from Bollywood which is making the news, but still, the concept of such stars and the interest they are showing for such movies is something that cannot be dismissed.

Off late, Jagapathi Babu has become an extraordinary character artist. This family hero’s latest flick is Hithudu which has him in the lead role. This emotional drama has hit the screens today and let’s now find out how the film turns out to be.

Story:

The story begins in a village called back Paderu. Sitaram (Jagapathi Babu) is a former Naxalite who leaves her band and implements a Paderu school to encourage education.On the other hand, Abhilasha (Meera Nandan) is a happy go lucky girl who is very brilliant in his studies. Seeing his talent, Sitaram takes responsibility for his education. One day Abhilasha it lands in enormous difficulties.Citing these problems, Sitaram arranges and sends it to another village to continue their studies. Rest of the story is how to help Abhilasha Sitaram manages to complete his studies in spite of all these problems.

Pluspoints:

Jagapathi Babu did complete justice having good variations of his character, which consists of three different shades. He uttered a few powerful and meaningful dialogues effortlessly. Meera Nandan is well suited his character. It offers a magnificent performance as a village girl.Viplav young director managed to convey his program through powerful dialogues that include significant human values. Benerjee was pretty good as Naxalite.

Negative points:

The lack of necessary commercial elements is the major drawback. Although the basic idea of the filmis good, the director has failed in its implementation in most part of the film. So many sub plots that come in the middle of the film creates enormous confusion.The scenario is slow and not interesting. After 10 minutes, the film becomes quite predictable. The running time is long enough and all the songs break the procedure of the film. There is no clarity on the immediate realization of the villagers.Technicalaspects:Coming to the music, Koti background score is very good for the emotional scenes, but none of his songs are good. Director of photography presented Bharani places Vizag a splendid manner. The production values are good.Film editing is very annoying that the film becomes very long and dragging. Most part of the film could have easily cut. Director Viplav managed to extract good performance molten lead. While the concept is good, the performance is very bad.

Verdict:

Overall, Hitudu has extraordinary performances and the interesting story line complemented by some worthy dialogues. The film has a flavor of art and complete film will not impress the regular public. All those who like realistic movies with slow narration can try. Rest can take easily.

It cannot be an action movie without a chase. The more daring the better. Likehanging out of an airplane at 20,000 feet beating up the bad guy and jumpingfrom building to building. Even better are the car chases where they are flyingover bridges and death defying stunts.

Just the actions of the characters will define action. Maybe its sexy, cooland the way they dress with style or one liners with scary meaning or comicrelief along with what they drive or the type of weapon or gun that is used.

You got to have a little romance going on while on the run, chasing the badguy, or doing kick butt action. A woman that is cunning but gets you to trusther and provide enough action to smoke up the screen.

Oliver and Laura ascribe their transformation to the legendary enchanted cottage, but one day, its spell is broken by the pitying comments of people who see them as ugly and broken. Story: -

The story is based in the beautiful city of Vizag. Two best friends Jazz Raju (Sudhakar) and Dhana (Karthik) mounting a auto rickshaw for a living. The dream of Jazz Raju is to become a great drummer, where as Dhana will represent India in the hockey game.
Twist in the tale arises when their dreams get a beating because of some adverse events in their lives. Rest of the story is how these two best friends face their problems and achieve their goals.

Plus Points: -

Story of the film is quite new and has a social message. Sudhakar impresses the poor auto driver and brings a lot of depth to the film. Karthik, who played the role of Dhana appears capable character, and carries the entire film on his shoulders. Even his love track was presented quite convincingly.Last 20 minutes of the film are very interesting and are good human values. How a hockey game was highlighted in the film is also very good. Naresh does a decent job in his tiny role. The designed characters bring a lot of belief in the film.

MinusPoints: -

This film is a perfect example of good script with poor execution. Even if the director had an interesting story line, he could not do it justice. as the lead actress Radhika is completely lost in his role. The first half of the film is quite slow and wanders completely. Pace of the film is slow and the plot is too predictable. How certain scenes in the first half have been designed are below par. The narrative never gets a grip and slips off-center.

Technical aspects:-

By Kiran Eshwar camerawork is superb and showcases interiors Vizaq quite wonderfully. The way this film was given a lifelike appearance is also nice. Dialogues are clean and so are all the characters. screenplay is a huge disappointment and has nothing interesting to the public. The mounting is almost ok many scenes could be easily cut in the first half. As stated above, the director could not hold a good script and ends up making just a below average output.

Verdict:-

Overall, Undile Manchi Kaalam Munduna Mundu is a perfect example of a movie with a good script and poor execution. Sudhakar and performance of Karthik and the last ten minutes are the only basis of positives. But the first half dragged, and the lack of proper narration spoil the essence of this film.

It amazes me, people still believe that all they have to do is build it and they will come. I promise that is the only movie quote that I will use. Having personally developed well over 100 websites since 1997 I am always stunned by people complaining that there website is a failure and blaming the person who built it.

Having a website is only half the battle! You must promote, promote, and then promote some more. No matter how great your product is no one can buy it unless they know about it.

First let me say that having someone develop a custom website for you is very important. Go cheap and buy a prefab website is usually a prelude to failure. Yes they are affordable and I know you are on a tight budget but never forget You Get What You Pay For.

Now to the point. There is a simple formula for success. Spend money = make money. Sounds easy right?

First figure out what you can afford to pay a developer for your website, if you have a product to sell you should be thinking in the $1000 range. Also find a developer who believes in web standards, trust me this is important.

Next figure out a monthly advertising budget and spend it wisely. This is by far the most import advice I can give. Your website is not going to shoot to the top of the search engines or miraculously develop visitors all on its own. While we are on the topic of search engines, keep in mind that a person on the web only has a 4% chance of winding up on your website through a search engine. Most likely they will find your site while browsing on another website. Your best bet, if you can afford it, is to hire a reputable firm to promote your website. They will know what will work and what is a waste of money. If you can not afford to hire a firm, do your do diligence before spending your money. Only advertise on websites that are relevant to your product otherwise you are wasting your money.

This leads to our third point. Believe in the power of link exchange. I do not care what it will do for you in the search engines. The more links you have out their the greater the likely hood that someone will click that link and wind up on your website. If you are on a tight budget this is the best way to promote your website.

Hernew owners refer to her bald appearance as a raw chicken. The second event occurred when her previousowners kicked her out of the house and into the snow on a cold Christmas day.

With these humiliating events as her motivation, KittyGalore hatches a diabolical plan to unleash a sound that will cause all dogs toturn on their owner. But even though Kitty could push the button immediatelyand enact her revenge, like any good evil criminal looking for world dominanceshe delays a few days to build suspense. This gives agents from DOGZ and MEOWZtime to stumble onto her plan.

For reasons I wont divulge, the DOGZ agency is forced topin their hopes on a new recruit called Diggs (voiced by actor James Marsden)and his grumpy veteran partner Butch (Nick Nolte in his old 48 Hours movievoice). Diggs is a disgraced police dog framed for something he didnt do, andhe sees this as a chance to redeem himself.. Diggs and Butch reluctantly teamup with MEOWZ professional Catherine (Christina Applegate) in an effort to stopKitty Galore. All 3 household pets must put aside their differences andprejudices concerning each other and concentrate on finding Kittys hideout sothey can stop her dastardly deed.

The filmmakers must have faced an interesting problem afterwaiting 10 years to make a sequel. The target audience for both Cats and Dogmovies (this and the original) appears to be the under 13 crowd. So 8 year oldswho watched the first movie 10 years ago are now 18 year olds who wouldprobably much rather watch movies about vampires and werewolves than be caughtdead in a show like this. So despite this being a sequel there is no realbuilt-in audience.

Adults will be amused by all the recognizable voices theyhear. People like James Marsden, Nick Nolte, Christina Applegate, Bette Midler,Roger Moore and Katt Williams, Neil Patrick Harris, Sean Hayes, Wallace Shawn,Joe Pantoliano and Michael Clark Duncan have all contributed. Bette Midler isan absolute scream as the antagonist Kitty Galore.

Kids, especially young ones, will flip over the outstandingspecial effects. The animals all talk with a realism not often seen in movies.And the spy gadgets that they use will elicit oohs and aahs.

One work of advice skip the 3D version. Youll probably becharged a premium and those effects add nothing to the experience.

story:

Anand Rao (Rao Ramesh), is the head of Lakshmi Nilayam and is a very strict father. After his daughter Lakshmi (Avika Gor) finished his studies, he obtained his fiancee to a software engineer.Moreover, Sai (Naga Shourya) gets to see Lakshmi and falls flat for her. He meets and expresses his love directly. But it gets a huge shock when Lakshmi told her that she is already engaged. What is Sai doing now? Will it continue to woo Lakshmi? This forms the rest of the story.

Plus points:

For starters, the voice of Raj Tarun on when it presents all the characters is quite good. The first 40 minutes of the film is engaging and entertaining. The episode interval is also impressive. Coming to the performance, the young hero Naga Shourya gave a mature performance than his previous films. It looks beautiful and enacts quite convincingly. For the first time, this lover boy attempted action sequences and it is quite impressive with his fights. Avika Gor looks gorgeous in Indian attire and gave a dominant performance.Rao Ramesh gives a decent performance as a strict father. Sapthagiri comedy track is also a major asset for the film. Rest of the cast as Vennela Kishore, Naresh, Pragathi and Satyam Rajesh Venu were good in their respective roles.

MinusPoints:

After the first 40 minutes, the film gets stuck and moves at a snail's pace until episode apart. Post interval, the entire second half died slowly as the story goes haywire. Most of the second half seems to have been inspired starrer Ram 'Ganesh.The director included a fight sequence in the climax, which was quite unnecessary. There are many logical errors in the film and the highest point is unclear. Most of the movie is very predictable and nothing new was offered through his story line.

Technical aspects:

The photograph of Bala Reddy is superb as each image looks great and beautiful. He presented Vizag beauty enough. K.M.Radhakrishna music is good, but his background score is inconsistent. Film editing is poor, like most of the film wanders here and there. The film's production values are high. Debutante director Nandyala Ravi treated his characters as well, but his script during the second half of the failures and going for a draw.Sapthagiri comedy track is also a major asset for the film. Rest of the cast as Vennela Kishore, Naresh, Pragathi and Satyam Rajesh Venu were good in their respective roles.

Verdict:

Overall, "Lakshmi Raave My Intiki is just an entertainer below average which is good only in pieces. The entertaining first half, energy performance Naga Shourya and Avika Gor are the main positives. On the other hand, a second half slow paced and a climax flat spoil the fun completely.

Bad Movie Review - Cool as Ice

If ever there was a film deserving of the infamy of being included in a bad movie night, it is Cool as Ice. This portrait of the early nineties was Vanilla Ices first and only starring role, and its about as good as you would expect. The nonsensical tagline to the film, "How do you melt a heart of stone? Just add Ice" pretty much says it all. Of course, it arrived 2 minutes after Vanillas 15 minutes were over, so it has languished on video for years, and is now developing into something of a cult hit for those who can appreciate how funny awesomely bad movies can be.

One interesting note of trivia: This is the first film for cinematographer Janus Kaminski, whose later credits include no less than Schindlers List. Wow. I guess we really do all have to start somewhere. On the other hand, this film effectively killed the career of director David Kellog, who waited 10 years for the laughter to die down before directing the probably equally terrible Inspector Gadget. Whoops.

Vanilla plays Johnny, leader of a super tough posse of biker rappers, who apparently go from town to town performing in warehouses where the lights hang at about knee level. This particular gang is so tough, that they dont even need helmets. Though, come to think of it, massive head trauma might actually explain a lot.

On the way to their next gig, or wherever it is theyre actually going, the gang encounters the horseback riding heart of stone that Vanilla desires to melt with his, um, Ice. Of course it belongs to an uptight overachiever named Kathy, who clearly needs a little Vanilla in her life to spice things up. (I made that one up myself). Ice starts by nearly killing her with her own horse, which is about the most extreme pickup technique Ive ever seen, and strangely enough, seems to work. Sure, she acts all annoyed and storms off, but as Vanilla notes:"Yup. Yup. She likes me". Its probably because shes sick of her possessive, walking clich of a boyfriend Rick.

One of the gang has some mechanical failure on the way into town, so the posse ends up stuck at a hippy-trippy bike repair shop, run by some crazy old couple. Thankfully, they run the shop out of their house, which is oh so conveniently down the street from the perpetually smoky residence of Kathy and her parents.

Oh, and did I mention that her parents are in the witness protection program, and on the run from two thugs who apparently have nothing better to do than sit around and wait for Kathys dad to appear on TV so they can track him down and extort money from him? It seems papa Kathy played by Michael Gross in what was undoubtedly not a highlight of his career was a cop who saw too much and ratted out some of his colleagues, who vowed revenge. Its really no wonder this guy left the force; he is without a doubt the worst cop in the history of law enforcement. His every instinct is completely wrong. He doesnt get anything right, or figure anything out throughout the entire film. I guess thats what he gets for trying to suppress his daughters desire to Iceify her stony heart.

But at least Vanilla is cool right? His wardrobe alone is truly something to behold, (I wonder where he keeps all those clothes on his bike?) along with his strangely erect hair, and I think any film that includes a dead-serious Vanilla Ice spewing such lines as "Yo Kat. Some words of wisdom: Drop that zero and get with the hero" at least deserves a look. And I havent even mentioned the scene where Vanilla single-handedly kicks the crap out of no less than five armed jocks who make the foolish mistake of messing with his homeboys bike. He is equally delicate in his melting of Kathys heart, which basically consists of him walking around with no shirt on, talking about how "if youre living life for someone else, you aint living", and generally acting creepy and/or criminal. This is really just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many more priceless moments of unintentional hilarity to discover.

So why is this movie the pinnacle of bad-movie night cinema? It is because it is so clear that Vanilla and those involved in creating this film took it very, very seriously. This only accentuates further the laughable dialog, the ridiculous plot and the clichd characters. Somehow the thought that someone actually thought this pile was going to be good makes it all the more unintentionally hilarious.

Finding this film on VHS on Ebay is about the only way youre going to be able to purchase it, though you can often still find it for rent at your local independent video store. Watch it with a group of friends while consuming your alcoholic beverage of choice.

Thank goodness the new Watchmen comic is not helmed by that guy. The new Dark Knight movie for batman saved the whole batman franchise, and indeed, in my opinion, is its very peak. As a movie critic and literature student, I find it hard to think about how this version of batman could ever be topped. The story deconstructs the whole superhero mythology. It brings batman up (or is it down?) to the level of grit and social importance as Fyodor Dostoyevsky novels. And this isnt just a case of comparison based on greatness achieved. There is an actual strong intertextual correspondence between the two. Not just influence, but a reworking of themes and texts.

This bring us to the Watchmen comic which is also a deconstruction of the superhero genre. It came about in almost the same time, maybe earlier, as the Frank Miller Dark Knight rendition. And it also has so many symbols and implications that touch on deep philosophical and political undercurrents of modernity. Hopefully, the movie can capture the whole range of the complexity found in the watchmen comic.
