The Social Network, set to hit theaterson October 1, 2010, is a drama directed by David Fincher about the founding of thesocial networking Web site, Facebook. The film concentrates on the tumultuousfirst years of Facebook, focusing on founder Mark Zuckerberg, who lauched thesite from his Harvard dorm room in 2004. Zuckerberg has not been actively endorsing The SocialNetwork and when asked about it he replied, "I just wished that nobodymade a movie of me while I was still alive." The way this film was set in the 1950s is quite interesting. Story idea of the film is simple, and the film way moving forward with only three characters is wonderful.Archana performance as Kamala is quite good. Although it starts on a rustic note, it takes up very well after the first half. Human values and the tender emotions that are missing in today's films were well captured.Second half of the film is where the tempo builds up and the story starts to get interesting. Last twenty minutes and how the pain, anguish and disbelief are presented is convincing. Chemistry between Sivaji and Archana is also good.

Although Sivaji plays a central role in the film, he tries too hard to make his character look real. It looks quite rigid air, and it could have been normal, its role would have been more convincing.As expected, the pace of the film is slow death. Do not go into this movie expect entertainment. This is a hardcore movie art house that is for its target audience and film festivals.The songs are a greater disadvantage for the film. They affect the flow of the film, and come in breeze-speed. Some scenes from the first half unclear, and the entire first half just moves at the speed of a snail.Once the second half picks up, the film becomes predictable and one can easily assess what will happen next.

Technical aspects:-

Technically, the film is brilliant. Set beautifully in the 50s, not once you get the feeling that it is shot in 2014. The camerawork is absolutely brilliant, and enhance rural culture and greenery in a very ethnic way.As mentioned above, the songs are disappointing, and even those that are hampering the run time of the film. Director Narsimha Nandi would have made the movie crispy omitting unnecessary songs in the film.screenplay is quite good, but some scenes like love having them could be ignored. Dialogues are simple and neat. Installation is pretty good, and art direction requires a special mention.Rather than create sets of false and time lines, officials went in real locations makes this movie look bright.

Tims elitist boss, Lance Fender (played perfectly by BruceGreenwood), has noticed Tim and invites him to the monthly executive dinnerparty being held at his mansion. This could be Tims ticket up the corporateladder. But during the invite, Fender explains further that each guest mustbring along the dumbest, most inept person they can find. The person whoattends with the biggest doofus wins the game and the bosss favor.

Tim realizes that the game is nothing more than a bunch ofpompous asses humiliating some poor sap just for kicks. But he figures that ifhe goes along he will become a member of the bosss inner circle and reap allthe rewards that come with that. He also hopes that by showing his girlfriendhow successful hes becoming that he will finally be able to convince her tomarry him.

Not sure if he wants play this distasteful game, his destinyis set when he almost runs down Barry Speck (played by Steve Carell), a tax manand amateur taxidermist who likes to dress up dead mice in little clothes andpose them into scenes from his life. Barry wears a mangy, Moe Howardhairpiece, has spectacles and buckteeth and looks like the perfect Schmuck. Barryaccepts Tims invitation to the dinner party (per the rules, the idiot cannotknow why they are being brought) and the game is on.

Now the title of this movie is somewhat misleading becausethe actual dinner occurs at the very end. A more accurate title would have beenWhat Happens Leading up to a Dinner for Schmucks, because the majority ofthis film occurs between the time Tim meets Barry and the dinner event. Barryinterprets the dinner invitation as an offer of friendship, and since he has noother friends he begins stalking his new best friend Tim.

Barry follows Tim around and then eventually home as he triesto inject himself into his life, inadvertently destroying every ounce of Timwith his buffoonery. Tim has to endure a series of ever-escalating incidentsincluding a severely injured back, a fractured romance, a reunion with a stalking,hypersexual ex-girlfriend looking for revenge (played hilariously by LucyPunch) and an IRS audit from hell.

Its almost too bad that this part of the movie is so damnfunny because the dinner finale just cant compete. Thats not to say theending is bad, but by that point the film is interested in getting its moralmessage across more than being funny.

Paul Rudd is excellent as the mostly moral guy who is justtrying to stay ahead and get the girl. His patient, slow burn as he watches hisonce promising life fall apart due to the mishaps of Barry is classic.

Steve Carell proves again that there is no role he cant do.He handles the slapstick and tender moments with equal ease. I have to figurethat the director needed many takes of some scenes due to everyone laughing onthe set. One example being when Barry sings the John Lennon classic Imaginebut gets the words wrong (You may say that Im a dreamer, but Im not).Funny.

There is no way you wont laugh all through this movie!

During these restorations, the theatres exterior & interior were restored back to their original grandeur & brilliance of the 1930s by two different architectural firms.

The renovations & restorations left the seating capacity very slightly diminished, from the original 3880 to the current 3600. The building adjoining the Chicago Theatre, the Page Building was also restored to house the theatre staff & support. The Chicago Theatre officially reopened its doors on September 10th, 1986 with a brilliant performance by Frank Sinatra. This was a great comeback for the Chicago Theatre, signified by the fact that Frank Sinatra had played at the theatre once before, all the time back in the 1950s. After its restoration to its former glory, the Chicago Theatre continues to be a monument in the North Loop renaissance, & has once again become the center for performing arts that it once was. The beauty of the Chicago Theatre as well as the history all contribute to the importance it holds in the Chicago landscape.
