A while ago I made it a point to watch the movie "Legally Blonde."

Not just for the bright, chirpy and eminently watchable Reese Witherspoon, but also because I loved the message it sent out.

If you didn't see the movie, all you need to know is that it's about a smart, fashion-conscious blonde who's told time and again, by her family and friends, that it'simpossible for someone like her to go to Harvard law school.

That she's just not smart enough and doesn't have what it takes.

In the movie, the character played by Witherspoon not only goes to Harvard law, but also through sheer determination and intuition, graduates at the top of her class.

Its just the sort of movie people love. Because it makes us believe that we too are capable of achieving anything we want to.

It reminds us how we often let ourselves, and others, underestimate our own potential.

And how we undermine our own sense of self, because of what we look like or where we came from.

But why just let it remain a movie, when it can be the story of your life...

Have you ever asked yourself what it is that keeps you from reaching your full potential?

From doing what you are inherently capable of?

For many of us, it's a lack of belief in ourselves. A lack of confidence in our own ability to succeed.

And because we believe we will fail, we usually do.

But there are people who have succeeded beyond all expectation - no matter what they look like, or where they come from.

One of my favourite role models who comes to mind is another Hollywood celebrity, Barbra Streisand.

Indeed, one of my favourite films of all time is her movie, "Yentl," about a courageous, intelligent woman trying to fulfill her capabilities, in the face of overwhelming odds.

"Yentl" was also the movie in which Streisand became the first woman ever to produce, direct, write and star in a major motion picture.

Streisand carved her own path, and broke the mould.

She showed how a woman with unconventional looks can make it in a field where beauty is more important than brains.

So, if you believe that you are less than someone, because of your lack of education, looks, talent, background or ability, take courage from her achievements.

They are an inspiration not only for women, but for everyone.

Because all it take is a belief. The belief that you can do what it takes.

Don't wait for someone else to give you an opportunity to prove yourself. Stop depending on others for handouts.

Don't wait for the right opportunity to fall in your lap. Because it never will.

All you need to carve your own path, is the confidence and the belief that you can succeed at anything you set out to do, no matter what the odds.

So start today. Choose a mentor.

Learn from the masters. Re-invent yourself.

Create your own opportunities and forge your own future.

Your belief in yourself, coupled with the courage to see it through, is what will carry you from a life of mediocrity and under-achievement, into a world where you can be the winner you aspire to be.

Be Cool, Wear Neo Sunglasses

First of all, the popularity of movies like The Matrix, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and others has created a market niche solely focused on movie character sunglasses. If you are especially partial to the stylish sunglasses worn by the characters in The Matrix, you will be happy to know that replica Neo sunglasses, Morpheus sunglasses and Agent Smith sunglasses can now be purchased without breaking the bank.

The popularity of movies like The Matrix, Mr.

These styles of Matrix sunglasses not only look ultra-cool and stylish, but they protect your eyes as well. Protection from scorching UV rays is imperative, as these can burn the corneas similar to how they can burn your skin. Constant exposure to UV rays also exposes your eyes to a multitude of related risks such as cataracts, muscular degeneration, and eye cancer.

Morpheus sunglasses offer excellent protection from the UV rays of the sun, which is the primary consideration of most buyers apart from the specific sunglass style. These sunglasses specifically offer scratch-resistant lenses featuring UVA and UVB protection (UV400 Protection - the best protection for your eyes). Matrix Neo sunglasses and Agent Smith sunglasses are also equipped with protective lenses that eliminate these hazards by guarding the eyes.

Morpheus sunglasses are high-end shades that are unique because they do not have arm frames. The absence of arm frames offers a sleek look that is difficult to replicate with other styles of sunglasses. They clip right onto your nose via a patented spring-loaded nose clip. As stated above, aside from projecting a unique, out-of-the-crowd style for the wearer, the Morpheus glasses also offer maximum protection against the harmful UV rays of the sun. Thus, wearing such eye gear not only enhances your style, but also helps to keep your eyes healthy.

You can also invest in a pair of Neo sunglasses, as they provide equally effective protection from the sun's harmful UV rays while also safeguarding the delicate area surrounding the eyes. Neo Sunglasses come in 3 distinct styles, one for each movie in The Matrix Trilogy. Despite their low price points, these sunglasses are fitted with advanced lenses that offer a cooling effect on the cornea. Hence, it is not always the price that determines the quality or efficiency of a pair of sunglasses. In addition to protecting the eyes from direct sunlight, Neo sunglasses also prevent other skin problems around the eyes as well.

The brightness of the sun can cause squinting, which eventually may lead to the creation of fine lines under the eyes. These lines may then further develop into wrinkles and dark circles that set deeply in the skin around the eye, making the process of aging more prominent. Hence, it is important to wear sunglasses offering protection. The lenses present in the Neo sunglasses, Agent Smith sunglasses, and Morpheus sunglasses enable protection from direct sunlight as well as horizontal surfaces like snow and water that reflect the rays emanating from the sun. Hence, fashion lovers can now shield their eyes from the sun, while at the same time looking cool, by wearing protective shades of glasses.

If you were born in the 70's and 80's then you will remember all those great arcade games that came at these times. However today you can have the chance now to play classic arcade games not just on your PC but also on your games consoles as well. There are now lots of websites online which offer you the chance to play some of the most memorable and favorite arcade games that were around during the 1970's and 1980's.

As you will soon discover many of these games are be recreated faithfully in order to ensure that they retain the fun features that may them so popular when they first appeared on the scene. In this article below, we will take a look at some of these games that you can now play.

1. Space InvadersThis is the original arcade game, which took the world by storm. Just as with the original version, you move your little space ship around the screen in order to shoot down the alien invaders as they approach you. But unlike the latest games you can get for your PC or games console you may well find the graphics and sound for this particular game not to the same standard. Yet if you are looking for an easy fun game then this is the one for you.

2. AsteroidsAlthough the graphics and game play for this particular, arcade game is very simple if you want you can actually enhance it further because you can now allow yourself to play it using a full screen feature. Again just, like space invaders, this one became extremely popular and many people found it exciting and exhilarating when it first appeared yet compared to many games today it may be somewhat slow and uninspiring, but for a quick bit of nostalgic fun, this one is perfect.

Certainly before the 1970's and 1980's arcade games were on the decline but when the company Atari was formed in 1972 things began to change for the better. Over the years they introduced a wide variety of arcade games but it all started with an electronic ping-pong game which they called "Pong". If it were not for this company then games like Pac-Man, Space Invaders and Donkey Kong would not have appeared.

Because we are now able to play classic arcade games online once more, they are being brought back to public awareness. Therefore, even though the major game console manufacturers choose not to produce them for use on theirs it does not mean you do not have to stop playing them. Hopefully these companies will get the message of how popular they are becoming once more and start to bring out versions to use on their consoles.

Why Do You Keep Having These Stomach Aches After Eating, Lets Take a Look...

A Stomach ache can happen when you least expect it. Including after eating your favorite snacks, watching the game or your favorite movie. What creates a stomach ache? Why does your body react and cause these aches and pains? Lets take a look...

Stress
Stress can present our bodies significant problems to our digestive systems in fact our entire bodies can go through mass unfavorable changes. And stress is defiantly not a stranger to a stomach ache especially after eating. There are numerous steps you can take to alleviate the stress factor in our lives in the body and the mind.

• Relax, Relax, Relax - Right simpler said than done but studies illustrate that stress directly elevates blood pressure, anxiety and difficulty sleeping amongst a multitude of problems. Try to take time out a bit in a day to just focus entirely on yourself, nothing else but you. Literally nothing in this world should occupy the thought in your mind, just let go and spend time pampering yourself. Do something you enjoy even something small like painting your finger and toe nails, soaking your feet and using your preferred scented lotion.

• Tranquility - Locate a nice quiet spot indoors or outside and close your eyes. Let all of your worries fall away, bills, schedules, school, this or that just clear your entire mind. If outside, focus on the peaceful environment totally surrounding you. The chirping of birds, the way the wind flows through your hair, the tranquility of it all. Just soak it up. Nice and calm and comforting. If inside, try and focus on the tranquility that is all about you, soothing, quiet, blessed peace.

• Internal Systems, Check - Now for inside the body. Stress can make your digestive system horrifically sensitive, just cause all kinds of maladies and can most definitely cause a stomach ache after eating any food. Yes, even the foods you love. Seems particularly unfair to undergo stress and then to have your comfort food turn on your own body. And you know what? You can still eat these types of foods not have discomfort if you combine them inside your stomach correctly. I know sounds a bit strange but if you think about food and the workings of your stomach it all begins to make sense.

Food Combining Here We Come
Combining foods that work against each other in your stomach will cause stomach aches after eating a meal. Believe it or not, different foods really do require different digestive enzymes in order to break down the food properly in your stomach. Different types of foods trigger the release of different types of digestive enzymes.
Some require acids and some require alkaline two separate digestive juices. And during the combination of food that requires both, the two intermix and neutralize each other out, cancel out and this means churning and churning for maybe hours later. And churning like this causes lots of problems like sour stomachs, acid reflux, bloating, excessive gas, running to the bathroom a mixture certain to make you miserable. But alone, each form of enzyme does a remarkable job breaking down foods as nature intended but mixing foods that each demand different compositions together spells out trouble including a stomach after eating.
So eating foods that combine in well together in compatible combinations will resolve all kinds of digestive troubles.

Viral marketing has matured a bit over the years. There seems to have been a shift to the web not just being seen by agencies and brands as another tick box for any ad campaign, which is significant enough, but now being the medium where a campaign is launched to create a buzz before it hits TV and print. Even before a movie is released which used to be seen as the pre-launch buzz-generation activity. Big business gets it.

Buzz works! It can work for small and start-up businesses, as well. The planning stage of a viral campaign will set out objectives and develop the viral theme for a buzz. There are three core components to any viral campaign and businesses of any size can use them. They are:

1. The creative material: the viral agent that embodies the message you want to spread in a digital format (image, video, text, etc). The trick is to put together material that people will be eager to share with their family and friends and people are much more eager to share advertainment and advertisement.

2. Seeding: distributing and placing the agent online in places that provide the greatest potential spread. Direct viral material downloads or links on specialist viral third-party web sites in order to create awareness and spread before users get to the campaign destination site.

3. Tracking: Measuring the spread of the campaign to provide accountability and prove success. It is absolutely vital that you know what is or is not working. The only way to get that information is to track the results of your seeding.

Lessons have been learned, trends have been developed and there is definitely some science involved in creating a buzz successfully. The buzz technique is here to stay and, if used strategically, it can make a difference to the success of your e-business.

Amateur Guide to Building a Wooden Train

Toy trains have virtually turn into as significantly a signal of Christmas time as reindeer, snowflakes, and hot chocolate. Almost every single Christmas movie ever made features the heartwarming shot of a beutifully decorated Christmas tree with an enourmous pile of presents piled under it, and a toy train circling the perimeter.

Toy trains have almost turn into as a lot a symptom of Christmas time as reindeer, snowflakes, and hot chocolate. Almost each Christmas movie ever made features the heartwarming shot of a beutifully decorated Christmas tree with an enourmous pile of presents piled under it, and a toy educate circling the perimeter.

Another gift that people love to give and recieve are the homemade variety. In some households these handmade presents grow to be solid wood heirlooms which have been handed down from a single generation towards the next.

Designing and generating a wooden toy train is a wonderful way to compound two traditions.

Your going to have to decide what sort of assembly method your going to use for your wood train project.

A dowel assembly program is the procedure of using wooden nails and non-toxic glue to grasp the peices of timber together. The upside to a employing a dowel assembly is that it maintains the purity with the timber. The negative effects for the method is the fact that regular depreciation together with alterations in weather cause wood to shrink and you will have to periodically ought to reglue the wooden train.

A lot of inexperinced woodworkers opt to use nails to hold the peices of timber together. Despite the fact that experinced woodworkers frown on this method there is nothing wrong with making use of nails provided you make certain that there aren't any sharp edges.

Screws are a secure strategy to fasten the peices of wood together. If this is the manner you like ensure that the solid wood educate is periodically examined to make sure that none from the screws have worked thier way loose.

The use of a great strong glue is especally secure. It is also a safe method to build a toy that you are planning to give to a fresh child. Check the toy infrequently to make certain that the glue is staying stuck. When handleing strong woodworking glue be certain to take safeguards, you wouldn't want to have your hand permenatly stuck to a wooden educate.

What type of timber you are going to use? Hardwood or softwood? The initial thing you ought to know is the fact that just because they are called hardwood and softwood doesn't signify that the wood you'll be utilizing is hard or soft, all the terns do is clear up wether or not they are from coniferous or desidous trees Softwood is descious, it comes from Pine trees. Hardwood is coniferous it derives from trees that shed thier leaves everyfall. You should avoid using Ceder, unless it is really well maintained it can splinter. If you are giving the toy to a fresh child (one who sticks everything in their mouth) steer clear of the use of Oak, which is toxic when ingested. When you are thinking about an exotic hardwood check and make sure it isn't a toxic timber. The timber you are using should be planed into peices of timber that wont break very easily, the thicker the timber the less likly it will be to break in the heart of your job. Bear in mind, not all kinds of timber absorb stains. When you're staining the wood ensure you are employing a non-toxic stain that is certainly childsafe.

Locate a collection of instructions that are simple to follow. Retain them in a safe place where they wont wander off and stick to them.

Leave yourself a lot of time. Building a solid wood educate could be a a great deal larger, and much more tough project then you anticipate.

Once you become adept at creating wood trains, you may like to try your hand at creating miniture solid wood structues for classic toy train layouts, and garden railroads.

Because there are so many different game consoles now available it can become quite confusing as to which may be the best one you can purchase. Not only are those which you can use solely at home but now you have the added option of choosing whether you want a portable version also. All the top manufacturers which includes Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft now have both portable and stand-alone versions of their games consoles available.

However below what we are going to do is take a look at the latest incarnations of the stand-alone models, including the Nintendo Wii, Sony's Playstation 3 and of course not forgetting Microsoft's XBox 360. We will look at each one starting with the least expensive of all the three models that we have just mentioned.

Nintendo WiiThis is the cheapest of all the latest games consoles to come on to the market and it has a price of around $250. Although many did not think it would be able to compete successfully with Sony's and Microsoft's it does seem to be standing its own ground. The reason why this has been as successful as it is because it feels more like a toy rather than a video game and this may well be down to the controller's that come with it.

Compared to both the XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 the controller for the Wii looks more like a TV remote control rather than what you would normally expect with a games console. This allows for more movement for the person who is playing the game that they loaded up on to their Wii.

Microsoft XBox 360This one has been on the market for longer than the other two models it has had a chance to gain a loyal following. Although not as inexpensive as the Wii, it does not actually command the high prices of the PlayStation 3. Currently you can expect to pay around $300 for this console. Moreover, because it has been on the market for much longer you have a larger selection of games to choose form compared to the other two models.

Nevertheless, as with both the Wii and PlayStation 3, you can get online with this console and if you go to the XBox Live Arcade, you will actually be spoilt for choice with a large selection of more classic arcade games to choose from as well.

Sony PlayStation 3Of all the consoles, we discuss in this article this is the most expensive even though recently Sony actually reduced the prices. You can still expect to pay around $500 for this particular games console. Nevertheless, if you are looking for one which games with great quality graphics because it contains a Blu-ray Disc Player.

This means that unlike the XBox 360 where you need to purchase the HD DVD add on for around $200 in order to watch any high definition movies you have on it. However, because of what is contained within the PlayStation 3 game console already you don't.

Yet which ever of these game consoles you choose will depend upon what you want to use them for. For those who are interested in playing active games such as the tennis pro one's the Wii may be the ideal choice, but for those who are more in to the intense racing games the XBox 360 or PlayStation 3 will be your preferred choice.

There are many pieces, parts, and components to a home theater system. One of the most important when it comes to achieving the overall 'movie going' experience is surround sound. While there are many pieces of equipment for the average home theater that can be purchased over time, surround sound is typically one component that needs to be purchased together if possible, at the very least it is wise to purchase the speakers as a set rather than mixing and matching quality and sounds.

Just as the surround sound system is one of, if not the most important components in a good home theater system, the speakers are the most integral and important component of any decent surround sound system. You can skimp on some aspects of quality in amplifiers, receivers, and even tuners but if you skimp on the quality of your speakers it will not matter how much of an investment you've made in everything else because the sound will be inferior.

People define their movie going experiences differently. For some, it is the smell of freshly popped popcorn that defines the experience and others find that the dark colors and the sweet smell of the syrup from the soda fountains is part of the experience (some things simply can't be imitated easily at home). There are many however, who find that sound is what sets the theater apart from home movie viewing and the one thing that keeps them coming back despite the interruptions provided by other patrons with cell phones, hungry children, or frequent trips to the restrooms.

The one thing that sets a theater apart for many people is one thing that we now have the technology to bring into our homes. Even better is the fact that the price tag on this particular technology is decreasing as competition, supply, demand, and technological advances increase. There is never too much to be said about how quickly the newness of electronics expires in order to be replaced by something newer and better next year. I remember a time when DVD players were priced well over $300 for the most basic of models. You can purchase them now for a mere $30 if you can find a decent sale and those models have more features than the originals. Can you imagine how little surround sound systems will be selling for an a few short years?

We are already seeing significant price drops in the box systems that are being sold on the market today. Gone are the days when these systems were merely the off brands trying to generate some sells by offering a low price and questionable quality. The boxed surround sound systems of today are carrying well-known names as their brands and providing some pretty stiff competition to those who aren't willing to offer the box sets when it comes to price.

That being said, you will want to take the effort to listen to any system you are considering before you buy it. It takes no small investment of time and energy in order to set up a surround sound system and while there are no guarantees that a system will sound the same in your home or apartment as it sounds in the store having a clue as to any problems before getting it home and setting it up will save both time and money in the long run. If the speakers you buy aren't adequate quality for the system you have purchased the sound will disappointing to say the least. My favorite scene for testing the sound quality of surround sound systems is the first 10 minutes of the movie Top Gun. Buy the DVD and take it with you whenever you try out systems for your home. If you find one set or system that blows you away with the quality of sound you should seriously consider that for your home theater and surround sound system.

Proper Wires And Cables Are Needed For Ultimate Home Movie Viewing

A home entertainment system is essential to help save money. Figuring out how to wire your home properly can be all you need to the best home movie viewing experience.

Is there anything that can make or break your entertainment system at home and is something that no one sees. These are pieces that work all the work behind the scenes, but that together and you can make the system work and the sound and look better.

It doesn't matter how much you spend on the components and what parts you have combined, if you don't have the right wires and cables, everything will have been done for nothing. If you try and hook up high definition components together without using the proper cables, then you will be wasting all of the potential power of your system.

The sound is not as good as it should be and the image will not be good because it was designed to search. In other words, you lose your money, why not maximize the power and the technology you have in your entertainment center. It will be like having a luxury sports car that runs on the engine of a compact car. It will be like wearing one of those stupid t-shirt tuxedo to the ball instead of a real tuxedo.

It just wouldn't be right to spend all of that money and not take full advantage of all of its power and potential. You might as well not even get a high definition television or a Blu-ray player or even watch television at all. But if you do want to get that great sound and picture and want to take full advantage of your electronic purchases, then you have to get the right cables to hook it all together.

Many components do not come with cables for HD it will be available with the old component cables that are fashionable, but not exactly equal to the task. Need HDMI cables and someone who wants to step up to current technology and current residence, he needs to use them to connect the audio system and components. The amount of HDMI inputs vary depending on the type of television you buy, but you always want at least three. In this way, the cable or satellite, surround sound and any component, such as a Blu-ray player or game console can be connected. The more expensive TVs may have more entries, but three is usually enough for most people to cope with.

Salt is proof that Angelina Jolie can carry an actionpicture all by herself. The Academy Award winner gives a remarkable physicalperformance as the ex CIA operative on the run.

This could have been just another of those Hollywoodcookie-cutter chase movies where an innocent man (or in this case, woman) isframed for something they didnt do, and spends the movie searching for the realcriminals at the same time avoiding capture by the authorities. This was donemasterfully years ago in The Fugitive. Its also been done dreadfully in many sadexamples.

But Salt, the new movie by Phillip Noyce, the director ofPatriot Games and "Clear and Present Danger." can be comparedfavorably to The Fugitive. And the reason is due to the muscular, gritty andexplosive performance of Angelina Jolie. Where Harrison Ford was instrumentalin the success of the before-mentioned three films, Jolie is crucial to thefeel of Salt.

Jolie plays CIA operative Evelyn Salt, one of the agencystop super-spies. On the night of her wedding anniversary Salt is contacted bythe Agency. A recently defected Russian spy is thought to have informationcrucial to National Security. Since Salt is their best interrogator, theysummon her in to do the interrogation.

During the interrogation the Russian defector lays out a stillactive, decades-long Soviet plan to plant sleeper agents inside the United States.Starting in 1975, Russian agents began entering the United States and immediatelystarted blending into the population. These agents, indoctrinated sincechildhood, are ready and waiting for missions from Russia.

One such mission, according to the defector, has just beenissued. The Russian President has just entered the United States to visit with theAmerican President. One of the sleepers is to kill the visiting RussianPresident and the host American President. In the middle of this certain chaosa nuclear device, hidden somewhere in the Middle East, will be detonated insuch a way as to implicate the U.S.The idea is to destroy the United Stateswhile Russiaregains power.

Salt, her CIA bosses and coworkers are astonished to hear ofthis plan. Salt then presses the defector for the name of the mole. After a fewlame attempts at resistance he finally answers Evelyn Salt.

As her CIA colleagues in the room look at each other andthen at her, the next sequence lets the viewer know what to expect from the rest of the movie. EvelynSalt immediately transforms from super-spy to mega-super-spy. In a rapidsuccession of physical feats that would make Jack Bauer envious, she escapesfrom the room, makes her way out of the CIA building, jumps off an overpass andonto a moving 18-wheeler, then onto a tanker truck, then onto another semibefore landing on the windshield of a cab, stealing a motorcycle and speedingaway.

Of course her quick exit just makes her CIA colleagues surethat she is a mole. That is all except her associate and good friend Ted Winters(played by Liev Schreiber), who loves her and desperately wants to believeshe's innocent. The head counterintelligenceagent on the case (played by Chiwetel Ejiofor) immediately mistrusts her andsends out everyone he has to track her down dead or alive.

The rest of the movie is Salt trying to find out what isgoing on, who is doing this to her, and to clear her good name. In a subplotthat turns out to be more important as the film goes on, Salts husband iskidnapped. Now she must also search for her husband.

As alluded to earlier, no actress working today is asconvincing an action star as Jolie, and she does tear it up here; the fightscenes are graphic and intense with almost no CGI. You can tell that Jolie isperforming stunts that could result in serious injury or even death if she wasntwell trained. Salt commits manyacts of violence over a short time some of them very questionable, many ofthem deadly, in her attempt to evade capture. Really, her character shares manytraits with Jack Bauer.

The moviedoes a good job of concealing whether or not Salt is actually a good spy or abad spy. Just when you think you have it nailed down something happens to makeyou reevaluate.

If you wantto see a very entertaining movie that will keep you guessing to the very end,go see Salt.
