5 Secret Techniques to Writing a Killer Script!

Writing is not easy, especially writing screenplays. In fact, in order to get good, I recommend that you write as often as possible. I see too many screenwriters starting out with false expectations. They think that they will sit down and on their first past write a great film. In my experience, great films come from screenwriters who have not only written material many times before but their best works come from a number of rewrites.

I advise that if you want to be a great filmmaker then you should learn how to be a great writer. The filmmaker is the visual storyteller of the script. The problem is that in our era writing good scripts, especially on the indie level, is not taken seriously enough. Most aspiring filmmakers strive to mimic Hollywood blockbusters. So they not only copy ideas from Hollywood, which are usually bad and done by committee, but in doing so they fail to perfect their craft and find their own voice as a writer.

Here are 5 Secrets that I find common in really good scripts. Of course, these are not the end all be all secrets on this subject matter because it is so lengthy it would take publishing several books to cover the ins and outs of screenwriting. 1. Have a great inciting incident. The is the motivation for things to happen. It gets things moving and provides context for the rest of the film. This doesn’t have to be action packed but it does grip the reader or audience right away. It is the key element that will propel your protagonist and antagonist into action.

2. Make every page a cliffhanger or a page-turner. Now, I am exaggerating a bit, but a good screenplay should leave the reader on the edge of his or her seat. This means you should structure your scenes in such a way that not only keeps them guessing as to what happens next but creates a burning desire to want to know what happens in the next scene.

3. Tell your story visually. Too often writers try to explain everything through exposition. Instead, use symbolism and imagery to convey the meanings you are trying to communicate to the audience. Remember the old saying “a picture is worth a thousand words”? Well, try trimming down your dialogue and include more visual expression. 4. A really good script typically has a great and complex villain. In fact, the best films are the ones that have an antagonist that you love to hate. But you shouldn’t forget that their motivation for being the way they are shouldn’t be trivial. Too many films suffer from poorly written villains whose motives were unclear.

5. Have your protagonist be imperfect. In fact, the characters that are written the best are usually those fighting with inner demons. This forces them to go through some type of character arc which, when dealt with, gives them the strength to confront and be victorious over the antagonist.

Bonus Tip: Try telling your story in a nonlinear fashion. The problem I have with a lot of the films that Hollywood produces is that they presuppose that life happens linearly. When I saw Deadpool I wasn’t blown away by it but I loved the non-linear structure that they used. It made the film more interesting. Although this can be a powerful storytelling technique, it is not easy to do. So you should try writing a few stories with it to get the hang of it.

Don’t forget that once you have written your screenplay try and get some feedback. You might think it’s a masterpiece of literary work but others will give you more of an objective opinion. But, if you are really serious and want to master this craft, I really believe you should watch as many movies as possible to study the writing. Then write as many screenplays as you can. The more you write the more you’ll define your voice and style! Good luck!

Rajeev Mathews (Sudhir Reddy) is a happily married software engineer who lives with his wife Priya (Pavani Reddy) in a large farmhouse in the outskirts of Hyderabad. One day his best friend Gautam visited him in the United States, and the two of them spend quality time together. This is also the time when Gautam woos Priya's friend Rekha (Gazal Somaiah) and takes him on vacation in Goa.When Gautam cost Goa, Rajeev gets hospitalized. A curious Gautam wonders with Rajeev as to what happened to him suddenly. Rajeev reveals a shocking truth that his wife Priya was possessed by evil spirits. The two friends rush to the farm house to check Priya. They try to face him, but Priya gets pretty aggressive. During this, Rajeev Priya accidentally kills. Rest of the story is how the two friends out of this delicate situation and manage to hide the murder.

Plus Points: -

major plus point of the film is the interesting story line. The way the script was woven around the limited character is pretty good. Sudheer Reddy walks away with the cake, and gives a memorable performance. He showed great emotion in her role as a frustrated husband and has a long way to go in Tollywood.Yuvaa Chandraa also gives a decent performance and surprises you in the end. The production values are clean, and to show the film in a good light. The first half of the film is well put together, and the eccentric climax is accumulated tension.

MinusPoints: -

The first and main point of the film negative is that it is far too long. The whole film is over two hours, which is too long for a thriller. After the establishment of the first half very aggressively, director goes a bit temperamental and drives the film. He built scene after scene and only adds to the runtime. Some logical errors are also missing in the film. The film unnecessary twists and turns are also a bit confusing. Adding songs to reduce the fun factor and SideTrack intrigue.

Technical aspects:-

the camera work in the film is quite good and keeps the tempo throughout the film. Dialogues are good enough and suitable plot. screenplay is good but could have been better in the second half. Director Rahul impressed with his first film. The way he handled the script and brought out a captivating story is impressive. Installation is below par and at least 15 minutes of the film could have easily cut.

Verdict:-

Overall, the end is a film that could have been quite exciting. But an exaggerated story, and time excessive implementation makes this film just an average case. If you have an eye for thrillers and love movies with a twist, you can surely give this film a shot.

Lawrence scores brownie points for both its direction and acting. It's pretty good in his role and shows the schedule of decent comedy. All his scenes with Kovai Sarala evoke superb comedy. Taapsee throws his bubbly girl image and delivers a knock out punch with Ganga. It impresses in a difficult role and is the main stay in the first half.Nithya Menen is quite good in the role of a handicapped girl and brings much relief when she is on screen. How Lawrence has performed his character in the second half is very good.First half of the film hilarious comedy that complements the well-executed horror elements. Once again, Kovai Sarala impresses in his role and gives funny expressions during the scenes of horror.

Negative points: -

After reaching the interval with a superb touch, Laurent loses track during the second half. The flashback episode that features Nithya Menen is dragged along the core with songs and unnecessary sequences. climax of the film is exaggerated and reverses a foreseeable end. This film is a bit noisy and might not go well with the public class.Once the twist in the tale is revealed, the film becomes quite predictable and bland. The charts at the pinnacle are over the top and look fake. Flashback episodes that were the main highlights in the first two tranches is below average Ganga. Except for performance Nithya there is not much interesting in this part.

Technical aspects:-

Film music is a huge drawback because no record songs with viewers. The background score is pretty decent and elevates the film to a decent level. written dialogues go well with the mass audience. film script is superb in the first half but bogged down completely in the second.With Ganga, Lawrence does not experience a lot and sticks to its successful formula. It sets up a brilliant first half and superb comedy evokes its players. But the way he manages the second half is below par. He drags the film with unnecessary scenes and complicates the highlight.

Verdict:-

Overall, Ganga is a horror comedy that has some interesting moments. Taapsee superb performance and a first half hilarious are huge assets for the film. But a second half below par and a highlight strong spoil the fun to a certain extent. However, this film will see huge openings due to the hype surrounding it and satisfy its target audience, which is the B and C centers.

Not considered to be riding grade, but can look good nevertheless.

 

Top Grain
Top grain leather has been sanded to remove scars and imperfections, then sprayed or pasted for a uniform look. The smooth side is where the hair and the natural grain used to be. Top grain is not the same quality as full grain or naked leather, but thicknesses of 1.2-3mm make this type of leather a very strong and durable riding grade material.

 

Full-Grain and Naked Leather

Full-Grain leather is made from the finest hides, and has not been sanded to remove imperfections. Only the hair has been removed. In the case of Naked Leather, where nothing other than the dye is added; this very soft leather requires no breaking in period. Hides are typically 2mm thick, and must be hand picked for uniformity.  The natural full-grain naked leather will wear better than other leather, and will actually improve over the years. This type of leather is the ultimate riding grade; the most sought after, and consequently, the most expensive.

 

Now that we know what type of leather we want, we must understand the fact that leather is hot, and understand the options that we have for the climate we live in. For winter biking, a jacket with side laces and a belt will allow you to adjust the jacket to fit snugly against the upper body. There is an actual strong intertextual correspondence between the two. Not just influence, but a reworking of themes and texts.

Salman khan’s movie has recently released on 17th of July 2015, this movie was his first after kick from which he got praise from numerous of people. Anyhow Bajrangi Bahijaan was directed by Kabir khan and produced by Salman khan. The amazing thing about Bajrangi Bahijaan is that it was produced by Salman khan and Salman khan films Production company had provided its services, moreover this movie was written by Kabir khan and scripts of this movie was written by K.V Vijayendra Prasad. In the same way the music of this movie was composed by Pritam and cinematography was done by famous cinematographer Aseem Mishra. In this movie along with Salman khan Kareena Kapoor khan as well as Nawazuddin siddiqui had performed. Salman khan got the role of Pawan Kumar/ Bajrangi and Kareena Kapoor khan performed the role as Rasika while Nawazuddin Siddiqui acted as Chand Nawab a Pakistani reporter. While travelling on the bus Bajrangi described his story that how he met with Rasika (Kareena Kapoor) and he told the little girl that he had promised with her father Dayanand (Sharat Saxena) to gather adequate amount in order to purchase a home so that he can protect Rasika and provide her luxurious life and he also wanted to proved that he is a rich groom. Anyways Bajrangi convinced Rasika to stay munni along with them until or unless they can find Munni’s parents. But unfortunately they were not aware about her parents as well as her residence. One day Bajrang Justify Munni that she is a Muslim while eating meat at one of his neighbor’s residence. And after that Bajrangi wanted to sent her back towards her homeland Pakistan but for this purpose she should has a passport otherwise she will not able to go home. So Bajrangi met with one of travel agent in order to send Munni Home and used all of the money which he has been reserving in order to purchase home. Definitely he had to pay the travel agent in order send Munni Pakistan ……………..

The film's story is based in Bheemili. Subbu (Dilip Kumar) is a young university student who will fall in love with a Muslim girl named Ayesha (Priyal Gor). As time passes, even beginning to like Ayesha Subbu and the couple spend time together happily. The twist in the tale arises when Ayesha's parents come to know of his case, and his house arrest. Rest of the story is how Subbu manages to solve all these problems and marry Ayesha.

Plus Points: -

major plus point of the film is the unique story line that was told with beautiful images. Camerawork and music are the heart and soul of this film. They bring a lot of depth to the film and hold the attention of viewers mostly. First half and the climax of the film were designed and beautifully narrated.Priyal Gor heroine is yet another highlight of the film. She looks beautiful, as a Muslim girl and the way it was presented was also superb.

Performance wise, she did a good job and some of his expressions during the heyday are good. Rao Ramesh is capable in his role of a police officer. Raghavendra, who made the role of the hero friend, brings a few laughs in the film.

Less Points: -

The biggest drawback of the film is the hero Dilip Kumar. As the whole story revolves around him, his role should have been the main attraction. But unfortunately Dilip sounds too raw for her role and could not deliver the necessary expressions. There are not too many twists and accordingly, the plot is quite predictable.After the establishment of the film well until the point of the interval, the director could not handle the second half. Excitement down considerably during the second half. The film becomes severe and is not animated at all. Love stories like these need to have a strong chemistry between the pair of lead, which is completely absent in this film.

Technical aspects:-

As said earlier, cinematography and music are the greatest assets of this film. Shaan Rehaman music is decent, but it is his background score that elevates the film to another level. Camerawork is impressive and holds you with its beautiful images. Film editing is ok in the first half but in the second a few scenes have been cut.Director Sasi Kiran did a decent job with his first film. The way she has extracted the release of various departments is also good. But its performance during the second half is below par. The excitement it produces in the early stages disappears completely when the story reaches its climax.

Verdict:-

Overall, Saheba Subramanyam is an attempt worthy of a debut director. It is a different love story with a beautiful premise, but it is completely let down by some below nominal performance. If you go in with no expectations, you may end up liking this unique love story.

Okay, this is the part where you pretend not to know anything about this movie and I give you a little background information on it and I tell you who is in it. But let's face it, we've all heard of 1 Night In Paris, so let's dispense with that charade and get to the action, shall we?If there's one thing that's patently obvious, it's the fact that Paris Hilton loves the camera and the spotlight (I know, you're shocked). But surprisingly enough, I don't think there is any excessive mugging on her part. Except for in the opening scene when she and her ex-boyfriend Rick are doing it in the dark. Understandably, the scene is being captured using infrared light. The problem is that every time they look directly into the camera (which is often, believe me), it gives you the creeps. You know that glint that you see when you look into a dog's eyes at night? And you thought red-eye was bad. Yeah, those spook-eyes take some getting used to.As for the sex, it's totally decent if you're used to amateur vids. But I have to admit that I'm not. I'm used to background music and different camera angles every other minute in a porn DVD. The feel of 1 Night In Paris, as I suppose it is the case with most amateur videos, lends itself to voyeuristic pleasure. Since the camera angle doesn't change and there's no inane background music, it's more close to the sex you and I know, love, and spy on. It's more realistic and - in Miss Hilton's own words - that's hot.And for an amateur vid, the quality is better than you have any right to expect. So either this Rick guy should have a budding career as a videographer, or the folks at RedLightDistrict did a bang-up job producing the movie.There's this interlude that comes after the first scene where Paris is primping herself in the bathroom and she and Rick have this little dialogue. (To me, anytime there's no sex going on in a skin flick, it's considered an "interlude.") What happens here is, he says dirty things to her, and deep down I think she's kind of turned on by them. But, I think she feels she's not supposed to appreciate that kind of talk. So she puts on this act like she's offended by what the guy says. Nonetheless, the "I'm a good, decent girl and don't talk to me like that" routine starts to wear a little thin after a while. And how smooth is this guy? He gets her to do all this stuff. On camera.There's a middle scene in 1 Night In Paris with some extended coochie-eating. I mean some really looong coochie-eating. Now I'm sure (if you're holding it down like you're supposed to, fellas :)) a lot of you guys take just as long when you go down on your woman. But on camera, it just plays as one long scene, especially when you can't really see the nitty-gritty. You don't ever see the oral-genital contact. I mean looking at Paris' orgasmic expressions are nice, but enough already. (Did I mention that this scene is really long?)And that reminds me of something. Between all the hand-wringing and tsk-tsking on one end, and the subtle winks and rib-nudging on the other, you would think that this is one really explicit video. However, up until the ending scene, you could've aired this before midnight - but after dark, of course - on HBO.Speaking of that end scene, wow. She goes down like a pro, man. She's not pornstar spectacular, but she's really good. The proof is in the pop shot.I guess the bottom-line is if you're a fan of the ubiquitous Ms. Hilton, then by all means rent or buy 1 Night In Paris. It just might be that simple.
