Do You Know A Cross Dresser?

Have you ever seen the movie Just Like a Woman? If not then you would have probably missed the chance to meet a cross-dresser. Crossdressing action is all about when someone wears clothes associated to the opposite gender. Cross-dressers however, are not only seen in movies. You may perhaps find a billion in the United States, for they comprise 7% of the total male population.

Satisfied with their masculinity, they have developed a feminine gift of gender and have decided to explore it. Not everyone who dresses like the opposite sex is a cross-dresser. It is the society that tends to perpetuate common masses on the basis of visible behaviors.

Drag queens are normally bisexual males or gays who dress up like females either to find sex partners or to mock femininity. Cross-dressers on the other hand, have no aspiration for any of these things but simply want to explore the feminine/masculine side of their personalities. As a part of his birthright, each man has got a set of certain feminine potentials. But the social issues or dogmas say that he should suppress those potentials. Integrating with those feminine aspects, cross-dressers are capable of smoothing their rough macho side. The result is great satisfaction and relaxation of the person as a whole.

Many wonder why some men cross-dress. No one knows the truth for sure. The factors can be environmental and hormonal as well. All humans are sexual creatures. Often many a cross-dressers will find this activity sexually stimulating. But this act is more a matter of identity and personality. Cross-dressers come from various different races, religion, creeds and financial background. In fact some cultures provide great respect to them. Most of the transvestites (another term used synonymously used for a cross-dresser) come from well-educated backgrounds. The number of female cross-dressers is much less than the number of male cross-dressers. Perhaps the reasons for this may be the social issues that are imposed on them and which does not allow them to do what they want.

The main problem that cross-dressers face is attitude of the society towards them. Driven by the fear or some kind of guilt, a few of them dispose of their clothes and often deny their cross-gender side. Some transvestites may seek the help of a therapist but generally therapists do not have much knowledge about cross-gender issues. There is no cure for such kind of behavior and in fact most of the transvestites do not even want one!

The Social Network, set to hit theaterson October 1, 2010, is a drama directed by David Fincher about the founding of thesocial networking Web site, Facebook. The film concentrates on the tumultuousfirst years of Facebook, focusing on founder Mark Zuckerberg, who lauched thesite from his Harvard dorm room in 2004. It was written by Aaron Sorkin andadapted by Ben Mezrichs 2009 nonfiction book The Accidental Billionaires.

Casting for the movie began in August 2009, with JesseEisenberg being the first actor announced to be attached to the project duringthe following month. Eisenberg stars as Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, andin 2009, he shared his excitement with the Baltimore Sun stating, "Eventhough I've gotten to be in some wonderful movies, this character seems so muchmore overtly insensitive in so many ways that seem more real to me in the bestway.

The film also stars Andrew Garfield, Joseph Mazzello andJustin Timberlake as Facebook co-founders Eduard Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz andSean Parker. The star-studded cast also includes Rooney Mara, Rashida Jones andBrenda Song.

The Social Network, the movie is told in a series offlashbacks recalled during a court hearing. The film begins on the night of February 4, 2004 when Zuckerberg is dumped by his girlfriend, Erica, in a bar. Hethen returns home in a drunken stupor and transforms Harvards onlinecollection of student photos into a Web site where he and his friends rank theHarvard women as various farm animals. His Facebook is so popular thatit crashes the entire Harvard network within a half hour.

Zuckerberg then drops out of college and moves toCalifornia, where he teams up with Sean Parker, the co-founder of the musicpiracy site Napster, to build his Facebook. The movie focuses on the first turbulent years of Facebook, the global social networking site that is nowconsidered a revolution in communication. Within six years of the creation of thissocial network, Zuckerberg is named the youngest billionaire in history. However, with a large amount of success comes responsibility as well as both legaland personal difficulties as the tag line of the movie reads, you dont get to500 million friends without making a few enemies.

Although Zuckerberg was not consulted during the writing ofthe book, The Accidental Billionaires, Facebook co-founder EduardoSaverin was. However, it has been said that the portrayal of the characters inthe movie are not entirely true. Facebook co-founder, Dustin Moskovitz calledthe film a dramatization of history, according to the International BusinessTimes.

After the films script was leaked on the Internet, itbecame evident to Zuckerberg that he was not going to be portrayed in the mostpositive manner. He later made a statement that he wanted to establish himselfas a good guy, according to The Times Online. Moskovitz told InternationalBusiness Times, in regards to Zuckerberg the plot of the book/scriptunabashedly attack [Zuckerberg], but I actually felt like a lot of his positivequalities come out truthfully in the trailer. At the end of the day, theycannot help but portray him as the driven, forward-thinking genius that heis."

Zuckerberg has not been actively endorsing The SocialNetwork and when asked about it he replied, "I just wished that nobodymade a movie of me while I was still alive." According to The Times Onlinesite, critics who have seen the script for the movie say it portrays Zuckerbergas a borderline-autistic conniver.

The movie is being produced by Kevin Spacey, who told MTVits a great story for people that dont really know how it happened. Veryfilmic, very modern, very cool. This will be the second project that Spaceyand director David Fincher have worked on. Their earlier film, Se7en, was adark, violent, horror movie, which is exactly what Fincher is known for. Spaceytold MTV News that The Social Network, however, will take a different approachand probably be a lot funnier than people might expect it to be.

Whether the film is true to real life or not, its sure toattract moviegoers when it makes it big-screen debut on October 1. Facebookusers will without a doubt flock to theaters to watch it then report theirreviews, positive and negative, via status update on their favorite socialnetwork.

How We Got Movie Stars

Early movies had no stories, no stars and no sound. A popular movie in the 1890's was two girls getting undressed by a lake. Right before their last garments came off, a train came by to block your view. In the next scene the two girls were swimming in the lake. The film was a hit throughout the country.

One old farmer went and saw this same movie for weeks and weeks. One day the theater manager came down and said," Say old timer. Every day we show the same film with the girls, the train and the lake and every day you keep coming back." "Well sonny, one of these days I'm hoping the train will be late!"

Many of the early film actors were quite content to stay anonymous, reasoning that the new flickers were a novelty and would damage their reputation on the legitimate stage. They were often expected to work all day long. Their duties included hammering nails, painting the set, picking up trash, and lifting heavy equipment. There were no trailers or perks or glamour or big houses. A casting director might meet a newspaper boy on the street and hire him as an lead actor for five dollars a day. Ladies of the evening were often given jobs simply because they provided their own wardrobes. Not knowing their real names, the movie going public would give their favorite actor's appropriate nicknames such as "the waif" or "the cowboy". The growing curiosity surrounding the identities lead to the birth of movie fan magazines such as Photoplay in 1909. But fearing that their players would demand huge salaries the producers still refused to release their names.

One of the most prominent movie theater owners was a former clothing store manager from Oshkosh, Wisconsin named Carl Laemmle, the eventual founder of Universal Studios. By 1909 he was sick of buying movies from Thomas Edison and had decided to make his own. Laemmle would listen each night, as his patrons would leave his theater; many would excitedly discuss the actors on the screen. He decided if he was going to produce his own pictures he would sell them by creating a star.

He wasted no time in hiring a twenty-year-old actress named Florence Lawrence known to the public as the Biograph Girl after the studio she worked for. One tale had the four-foot Laemmle conducting a midnight raid of Biograph where he carried his new star away over his shoulder. He then announced her real name and 250-dollar week salary to the new fan magazines then arranged for her to mysteriously disappear. "My competitors will stop at nothing to ruin me. They've kidnapped poor Florence, perhaps even killed her!" he told the press.

For the next few weeks Americans followed the saga in the newspapers, there were several false reports of foul play. One account had Florence killed by a streetcar. Then, as pre-arranged by Carl Laemmle, Florence "miraculously" resurfaced in St. Louis were she was mobbed, her clothes ripped off by hired fans. And so Florence Lawrence gained a huge following. Movies with her name on the marquee started selling like hot cakes.

A few years later she was working on a film when a fire broke out on the set. Young Florence courageously risked her life to save her fellow actors and the incident left her temporarily paralyzed. By the time she recovered no one would hire her. But though she ended up in obscurity, Florence Lawrence was the first movie star.

John Waters favorite Pink Flamingo Edith Massey a short history

This Article originally published on the movie blog Movie Fanfare.com and can be found in it's original form at the articles home page

Amid the taboo-shattering andpolymorphously perversechaos that is the John Waters universe, she was an oasis of...well, if notsanity, then certainly an off-kilter form of niceness. Few who have seenthe director'slandmark 1972 "exercise in poor taste," PinkFlamingos, can look at an order of deviled, hard-boiledorsunny-side-up eggs without thinking of the snaggletoothed grin, cackling laughand one-in-a-million line delivery that were hallmarks of"Edie the Egg Lady," Edith Massey.

The details of Edith's early life are sketchy, withsources listing her May, 1918 birthplace as San Francisco, while Massey herselfsaid it was New York. As recounted in the Watersbook Shock ValueandRobert Maier's 1975 documentary short Love Letter to Edie, shewassoon placed in a Dickensian orphanage near Denver. Sentto workas a maid at 15, Edith ran away andwound up in a reformatory.Dreams of a show biz career sent her on the lam again, this time to California, where sheclaimed to make her screen debut as an extra in the 1940Claudette Colbert romance Arise, My Love.

Over the next three decades Edith criss-crossed the country, riding the rails and working as everything fromchorus girl totapdancer in a burlesque house to madam. Along the way she also wed and separatedfrom a soldier named Massey. Her wanderings eventually took her to Baltimore'sseedy Fells Point waterfront district, where she became a barmaid whosemotherly, chatterbox demeanorcaught the eye of a certain young filmmakerand his oddball cohorts. Waters cast Edith as herself--and the VirginMary--in his1970 dark comedy Multiple Maniacs.

Two years later, shegot the iconic role of Divine's"mentally ill mother, Miss Edie" in Pink Flamingos. Sitting in aplaypen, clad only in bra and girdle and demanding that someone fix her a plateof eggs, Edith was at once bizarre yet strangely sweet. She also got to have ahappy elopment withbeloved Eggman Paul Swift. Waters' next mutantmelodrama, Female Trouble, found Massey playing leather-clad Aunt Ida, whowished hairdesser nephew Michael Potter would dump Divine and "turnnelly." As she explained to him, "I worry that you'll work in anoffice, have children, celebrate wedding anniversaries. The world of aheterosexual is a sick and boring life!" By the mid-'70s she moved outfrom behind the bar and opened her own thrift shop in Fells Point, Edith'sShopping Bag.

Following avillainous turn as Mortville'sevilQueen Carlotta in the Waters-style fairy tale Desperate Living, Masseyplayedcleaning woman-turned-heiress Cuddles, best friend to put-uponhousewife Franice Fishpaw (Divine) in Waters' Douglas Sirk spoofPolyester, where the line "Poor, poorFrancine" came out--thankstoEdith's unique accent--as "Purr, purr Francine."Alongthe way she also made a memorable appearance, asJohn Cougar Mellencamp'sdream woman, in his video for"This Time,"and co-starredin the sci-fi satire Mutants in Paradise. Edith also had a "singing"career as"Queen of Punk," releasing covers of"Fever" and "Big Girls Don't Cry" and the originalsong "Punks, Get off the Grass."

Shortly after moving to Venice, California for healthreasons, Massey passed on to that big playpen in the sky due to complicationsfrom cancer and diabetes in October of 1984.

Movie Review - Ikiru

Ikiru, translated "To Live", is the masterpiece of the great Japanese filmmaker, Akira Kurosawa. It is very different from the Samurai films for which he is most famous in the West, but it is undoubtedly one of the greatest films ever committed to celluloid.

Produced in 1952, Ikiru tells the story of Kanji Watanabe (Takeshi Shimura), a civil servant who, as the film begins, discovers that he has stomach cancer, and only 6 months to live. His life has been defined by his job, one of soul-sucking monotony and inefficient bureaucracy. Kurosawa demonstrates just how ineffective this bureaucracy is by an amusing scene early in the film, where a group of women petition the department of public affairs to clean up a stagnant pool in their neighborhood. They are shunted from public affairs to engineering, and then further up the bureaucracy, until, eventually, they end up back where they began, having accomplished nothing.

The plight of these women in many ways parallels the life of Mr. Watanabe, who has dedicated himself fully to the bureaucracy. Indeed, he has not missed a single day of work in nearly 30 years, and yet, he realizes, he too has accomplished nothing. Watanabes son is ungrateful of the sacrifices his father has made, though the film points out that the son never asked for them. Mr. Watanabes life is empty and sad, and it is only through the revelation that he is dying, that he is able to truly live for the first time.

He goes out for a night on the town, with the help of a curious stranger who is willing to help him learn to spend his money. A young woman co-worker, who needs his seal so that she can resign, unknowingly helps him continue his journey. Watanabe admires her zest for life just looking at her "warms him up" - and he desires more than anything to understand how to live as she does before he dies.

Takeshi Shimura, a long time Kurosawa collaborator provides a nuanced and touching performance as Watanabe, far removed from his most famous role as Kambei, in Seven Samurai. Indeed, Shimura is able to effectively conveying not only the characters physical pain, but also his emotional pain, and Mr. Watanabes transition from broken despair to a hopeful sense of purpose is entirely believable and engrossing.

As one would expect from a master filmmaker such as Kurosawa, the film is beautifully shot, and the storytelling is impeccable as the director deftly uses a series of flashbacks to tell his story. The pace is very deliberate and ponderous, but never boring.

Akira Kurosawa is certainly one of the great directors in the history of cinema, and he made many more films throughout his career. Many of those films were great in themselves, but Ikiru, with its touching and poignant story, and skilled storytelling, is truly his masterpiece.

The Importance of the Use of a Tripod in Movie Making and Photography

Photography is one of the most common hobbies known to man these days. Nice thing about photography is that it can be both used as a hobby and a profession. Most even go for a career in photography, in hopes that this could one day be the career that defines them. However, in order to be a professional photography, it is important that one have the right kind of paraphernalia simply because only good equipment can convert an image into a work of art.

Photography,by far, is one of the most common hobbies known to man these days. Plenty ofpeople love to take pictures of just about everything, and what is nice aboutphotography is that it can be both used as a hobby and a profession. Most evengo for a career in photography, in hopes that this could one day be the careerthat defines them. However, in order to be a professional photography, it isimportant that one have the right kind of paraphernalia simply because onlygood equipment can convert an image into a work of art.

Now,while it is true that there is the notion that the equipment used are onlycompliments to the skill of a photographer, fact is, every photography knowsthe importance of having the right equipment. And, this does not mean havingthe most expensive equipment, but rather, having equipment that ensures a goodshot. Included in this would be a tripod, and for those aspiring photographersout there, listed below are a few reasons why you should find yourselfinvesting in a moderately priced tripod.

Blurry images are quite common, especially since our hands arent always a hundred percent steady. However, byusing a tripod, you get pictures of great clarity each and every time you usestable and sturdily set tripod, and tests have proven that images shot with atripod are a whole lot sharper compared to those that are shot without one.

Capturing a very elusive moment can behard, especially when it comes to sports. However, if you have a tripod, youcould easily catch a snapshot of a marathoner that has been the first to crossthe finish line. Keep in mind that a camera set on a tripod offers a better wayto pan, one that is steadier.

Lets suppose that you somehow foundyourself in a beautiful landscape but you do not know exactly what sort ofphoto effects will bring out the beauty of the scene itself. Well, if youdecide to set up a tripod, you can keep the same scene in focus, which, therefore, allows you to change the exposure settings on your camera.

It is also a very wise decision if youshould choose to mouth your camera or camcorder on the tripod whenever you useit, to ensure that the video does not look bouncy and is smooth. Using a tripodthat has a fluid-effect head also gives your video a smooth pan, and a bettertouch that ensures quality.

To ensure that the lens gets enoughlight, the camera will immediately adjust exposure and shutter speed. Even avery minor movement of the camera may easily result in blurry images at evenreduced shutter speeds. But, the use of a steady tripod helps in capturing thatperfect night time moment or sunset shot.

Keep in mind that professional film equipment arent likely to come cheap, but, theuse of an oconnor tripod system shouldhelp you out tremendously.

The Friday the 13th TV series ran for just three seasons, starting with the fall 1987 lineup and ending in 1990. The original name for the series was The 13th Hour, but executives changed the name to draw in an audience with the more familiar name of the popular slasher movie series hoping to develop a fan base from those who were hoping to get their Jason Voorhies fix. Rumors persisted throughout the entire 72 episode run that there would be some link from television series to the movies of that name, but it never came to pass. One of the most persistent of these rumors was that Jasons hockey mask from the movies would be one of the cursed items. That rumor suggested that the mask would be the final item that had to be found, but that was never the case.

The basic premise of the Friday the 13th TV series was simple: a man named Lewis Vendredi was supposed to sell a number of cursed items for the Devil but broke the deal. After his death, the antique shop and its contents were passed on to his niece and her distant cousin. The pair and the dead mans strange friend try to get all of the cursed items back so that they are not harming people- each item must be found, returned and then taken back to a special vault.

Although this TV series had a relatively short run, it is still occasionally shown as part of sci-fi channel special events, and it was also released as a box set in 2008 with the release of the first season on a six disc set. The third and final season was released in 2009 as a five disc set containing all 20 episodes.

Some fans of the movies were angered by the use of the name by the Friday the 13th TV Series; however, others were more generous with the choice of the name and became solid fans. It never gained widespread popularity, however, and remained mostly a niche show with a small but loyal market share. It still does well when shown on various venues with several episodes being deemed fan favorites.

This TV series was ambitious to the point of pushing the envelope of acceptability in terms of both the level of violence and sexuality it showed on the screen. However, what the Friday the 13th TV series was effective in, was earning award nominations, including two Emmy nods for Visual and Graphic Effects as well as others.

The two main choices in Receivers today are either a Home Theater Receiver which allows you to listen to movies in all the glory and grandeur they were meant to be listened in. Or a stereo receiver model which is more designed to blast music of all different kinds.

Generally speaking, a theater system is a better choice for TV and movie viewing, and the Multi-channel A/V Receiver should be primarily used for music.

Going with a complete home surround system is your best bet if you want to avoid trying to match up components and making your own "custom" system with different components, but if you spend a few minutes researching, you might be able to put together a home theater system more worthy of your needs.

But if you want a really nice set-up with 7 or more speakers and a sub-woofer for totally, true and amazing sound (as if you feel like youre sitting in a movie theater), going with a more expensive receiver with more channels is your direction. More channels = more speakers = more expensive set-up.

Tips on Surround Sound Systems

Surround Sound Systems can be quite the addition to a home television room. It can take your movie experience from at home to just at the theaters. During the past ten years surround sound systems have been more popular in houses all across America. There were a few reasons why this is the case and a few things you need to know about purchasing the perfect surround sound system. There are lots of stores that carry these items now and even more store online where you can do some shopping in the comfort of your own residence.

One of the first steps when looking for a system for your TV is to measure the room. This may sound like a bizarre step but it is one of the most crucial steps when hunting out the perfect system. There are express measurements like the length of the room and the width of the room. These two measurements will work out how many speakers you will need give you full sound effect you may need and precisely where they will need to be placed in the room. I bet you did not think that creating your own movie room at home would be so specific and detailed. Dont fret because you can now find a lot of the info you will need on the net.

When you visit stores to look for your sound system you can even see if they will come and install the system. By choosing someone to come and install the system you can ensure that all of the speakers are placed in precisely the right spot. They can also help with the positioning of the television for optimal view experience as well as hide all of the spokesperson wires so your room doesnt look untidy. If you do decide to have somebody come in and install your spokesperson system, make sure it is someone from a reputable store and ask them some questions to ensure they know the facts about creating the best sound experience possible.

There are loads of makes of speakers and systems to choose between. Some folk now even choose to install speakers all throughout the house so that music can be piped into pretty much every room regardless of where you are working. You can do this at the same time you are installing your surround system and save a lot of money on installation.

Making Money Online and the Willing Suspense of Disbelief

Without the willing suspense of disbelief the great white shark in Jaws would just be a movie prop. To find out that has to do with avoiding internet money making scams read on...

Why do people who want to make money online, fall for scams and crazy schemes they wouldn't even think of entertaining in the "real" bricks and mortar world? I've seen a few reasons offered in response to this question. A lot of people put it down to greed and I daresay there is a fair bit of that about. It is also suggested that many of the people who are searching for a way to make money online are desperate and it is sheer desperation that makes them vulnerable. Some people blame the effectiveness of online advertising, and a well-written sales letter can go an awfully long way to persuading a reader to act against his better judgment. It is sometimes suggested that people see the Internet as a different kind of reality and that makes them prone to doing things they would not otherwise consider.

My personal feeling is that a combination of all those reasons is often what makes normally sensible people abandon reason and fall for an Internet scam or some kind of doubtful online money making scheme. I have never forgotten studying English Literature at university and learning about the concept of the "willing suspense of disbelief". That's the thing that enables us to enjoy watching a drama or reading a novel; we know it is just a made-up story and the characters aren't real but, in order to get full enjoyment out of the experience, we willingly suspend our disbelief and allow the characters and their dramas to be real to us. This ability to suspend aspects of the way we think is played upon by copywriters who target people looking for ways to make money online.

If we were not willing to believe (at least for 90 minutes or so) that the hero in the latest action movie is a real person, we would not enjoy the movie to any great extent. A good storyline, great scenery and impressive special effects do not make a gripping movie. All of these things would be wasted if we did not believe in the characters. It is only when we care about or identify with the characters that the movie successfully moves, interests or excites us.

If you think about some of the greatest movies of all time, you will know what I mean. Take Gone With The Wind: this is only a compelling movie if we believe (for the duration of the movie) that Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler are real people. Without that belief and consequent interest in the fate of the characters, the storyline alone would not inspire generations of people to watch the movie over and over again. When you watch Jaws, you have to believe the characters are real and are in danger of being consumed by the (also real) shark; if you don't employ this belief, you won't enjoy the film because there would be no excitement in it for you. Whether you are viewing a love story, a "person in peril" situation or a fight for justice in a courtroom drama, the same thing applies: you must be willing to believe in the characters for the story to have meaning.

The human brain is a strange and complex mechanism which allows us to "turn off" aspects of thinking which are, in effect, integral parts of our personality. This suspense of disbelief is what enables children to enjoy games of imagination: if you ask a three-year old whether her teddy bear can really talk the reply will most probably be "of course not" but the knowledge that she is pretending, does not remove the child's enjoyment of games where teddy "talks" to her.

When you are looking for ways to make money online, don't allow your disbelief to be suspended willingly; hang on to your suspicions and cynicism, and remember the Internet is part of our world and not a parallel virtual reality or a movie set.

Fireplace Mantels That Set the Scene in Eight Classic Films

This is a fun article that movie lovers will enjoy as they take a walk down memory lane. It presents the authors perspective on the impact that the fireplace mantel has had on eight classic, well known and popular films.

The design of a fireplace can be linked interchangeably with the term home. Fireplace mantels come in different styles and silhouettes and Hollywood has taught us that fireplace mantels can be the most important character in the scene of a film.

The placement of a fireplace usually sets the mood by creating an expression of amour or by building up the suspense for tragedy. The fireplace is linked as Hollywoods ideal scene backdrop.

(1) Pa Bailey stated in Its a Wonderful Life that satisfying a fundamental urge, it's deep in the race for a man to want his own roof and walls and fireplace If you have ever seen this classic, you are well aware that the film is pure Americana and represents the true meaning of the American dream.

(2) Viewed as one of the greatest films of all time is Orson Welles Citizen Kane. This film is a perfect example of how fireplaces add an important role to landscape settings. The enormous Xanadu fireplace mantel, which appears to reach about 10 feet in height, is placed in several scenes throughout the movie, ominously indicative of Kanes loss. There are two scenes in this film where the fireplace emphasizes the plot and adds significance to the storyline. One is when the sled Rosebud is thrown into the fire because it is seen as junk. The second one is where you see the stilled image of Kanes portrait above the mantle dominating all the loneliness he surveys. These scenes add suspense and agony, perhaps even irony, not only affecting the characters in the film but also influencing the audience watching them.

(3) Fireplace mantels can create a romantic feel to the ambiance of a particular scene. Many are familiar with the classic episodes of Star Wars. In episode two, Attack of the Clones the films two major characters, Anakin and Padme, share a forbidden romance. The romance shared between the two come together in this one scene, which becomes an important facet in their love story. The scene illuminates the passion between Leia and Luke. Having the fireplace mantel in this scene creates a warm surrounding for the couple, thus adding to the elements of the plot.

(4) In the movie Titanic, the appearance of the fireplace mantel helps the setting by creating the representation of the upper class. The famous drawing scene is located in one of the upper level rooms. The fireplace is lit in the background and generates a darker light, which in turn glazes over both of the characters faces. This scene is one of the most important because it establishes the connection between both Rose and Jack when she asks Jack to paint her wearing only the necklace. Another scene within this film is towards the very end, where the architect of the ship stands in front of the fireplace looking at the clock and watching it move from one end to the other, realizing that there is no hope for the ship.

(5) The design of the fireplace mantels gives off a sense of plot in a movie whether adding a classic feeling decorated with dark mahogany or an eerie mood with a traditional finish. As illustrated in the movie The Birds nothing compares to the fireplace scene. The feeling of tragedy is lurking and the eerie design of the fireplace makes this scene extremely important to the storyline. The scene begins calmly with a conversation over tea and escalates to having a flock of irate birds swarming around them trying to attack.

(6) Most are aware of the supernatural film Beetle Juice that brought fear with laughter to young and old alike. The movie brings together both afterlife and the living structuring the storyline location within the home of the main characters. The home has a very quaint feeling to it, showing various points in the film in the living room where there is aged furniture and a rustic styled fireplace with a grimy mantle, giving off the sense of a ghostly presence. The importance of the setting adds to the ethereal sensation that the characters are in the company of ghosts.

(7) Along with the paranormal film mentioned above come others that possess the same sentiments such as the movie Young Frankenstein. Here, the fireplace is more deceiving than not and opens up a more mystical allusion. The fireplace mantel is actually hidden behind a bookshelf, which converts into a fireplace. The secret passages shown in the scenes carry out the spiritual and strange moods that are trying to be created from the plot.

(8) Meet the Parents may be one of a very few films that combines both humor and calamity. One of the most popular scenes presented is the one where Ben Stiller attempts to open a champagne bottle having the cork shatter the cremation urn that sits on top of the fireplace mantel. The urn instantly spills the remains of Grandma Brynes all over the carpeted floor, which instantaneously becomes the litter box for the family cat.

Fireplace mantels have a dcor far different from any other home furnishing. They add warmth and comfort giving that feeling of security. Fireplace mantels can also add a touch of sophistication and elegance if that is your preference. The addition of a fireplace mantel can finalize the ideal vision of how one may want their home to look like. It can transform a home from being dark and uninviting to a warm country getaway.

Such an addition also allows that extra touch of luxury to a household thus creating the perfect atmosphere for family gatherings. It helps create that final touch and adds emphasis and ambiance to that special room. The feeling may be romantic, elegant and sophisticated, eerie or even warm and cozy. So, what kind of mood do you want to set with your fireplace mantel?

Filmmaking Make Your Movie Sound Like A Real Movie

I get a lot of questions on if I can "do" sound sweetening, usually by frantic filmmakers, calling in the middle of the night.  They are frantic because the sound in their movie or video is bad....

I get a lot of questions on if I can "do" sound sweetening, usually by frantic filmmakers, calling in the middle of the night.  They are frantic because the sound in their movie or video is bad.

They've used a cheap mic, plugged into the camera, or worse, have used the on-camera mic.

They had a friend aimlessly point the mic at the floor, or the sky, anywhere but at the actor muttering his lines, and moved the mic randomly during shooting.

Some, from the sound of it, have pointed the mic directly at the whirring camera, or rumbling electric generator, or humming air conditioner, or buzzing fluorescent lamp.  They've bumped the mic against the wall, or the ceiling, or trees or bushes. They're far away from what they're recording, not even in the same vicinity.  There's so much "room sound," you can barely hear the actor mumbling along.

So, the Sound Guy (whoever they can get for a few minutes - usually a well-meaning person with no experience) turns up the level too far, which just makes the sound distort horribly, or too low, which buries the good sound in the mud.

Sound Editing adds more mistakes, and compounds the problem.

The filmmaker has the equipment, and wants the film to be good.

You'd think he'd read a book on the subject.  You would be wrong.

He chops the sound when he chops the picture, and that's it.  He doesn't split it into tracks, or replace bad sound, or finesse the tracks, or otherwise spend time exerting care and craft on his precious film's soundtrack.

Essentially, when he's done shooting and cutting and laying music, he thinks he is done, without spending the minimum of time and care and money it takes, to have a good sound track. So the filmmaker shows his movie, with its bad sound, to lukewarm audience reaction.  Ouch!

People don't know why the movie is bad, actually.  Not one in ten can recognize "bad sound," they just think the movie stinks. If the filmmaker is very, very lucky, somebody will tell him the sound is bad.  Otherwise, he has no clue.

He's disappointed, but he still wants to maybe fix it.  Somebody says "sweetening" the sound will help.  So he comes to me. He wants to know if bad sound can be fixed.  I have to tell him the bad news - no.

At this stage, unless he has a great deal of time and money, and is willing to start completely over and take the proper care, nothing can be done.

Bad sound is the product of negligence.  If you spend the time and care, from the beginning, there is no reason for your film or video sound to be bad.

You've probably seen many commercial movies with good sound, so why doesnt your movie sound like them?  You probably don't really know how a good movie sounds, and what effort went into making them sound good.

Take some time, and actively listen.  After a while, you'll notice what a good movie sounds like. I was very lucky when I was starting out. I read a book by Ivan Watson from England, who spelled out precisely what it takes to record and edit and mix good movie sound.

You can still find "Uncle Ivan's" books, either online, http://snurl.com/brbu or at your library.  If you haven't read any filmmaking books, you need to.  Get going! What can you do to make your movie track sound less like a video, and more like a real movie?

Maybe a better question is, "Why does video sound so bad?" I think that's a fair question, because frankly, most video sound, (all elements music-dialog-effects), sucks. I've heard exceptions, so I know it's not just the video itself.

Film does sound very different than video, I am certain of that.

Real movies are rich-sounding, with only the sounds and music that move the story along.  Video, even shot by filmmakers who should know better, often is tinny and muffled, with thumps and noise on the tracks.

How is film sound different from video?  Making a movie sound like a movie starts with the production sound.

Film sound is recorded on analog machines (yes, they still exist), or on cool new 96Khz/24bit sampling recorders.

Mini-DV camera sound is uncompressed 48Khz/16bit sampling.

That's better-than-CD audio quality, but camera makers save money by using cheap audio circuits in most under-$5k video cameras. Cheap-and-dirty analog-to-digital circuits add noise and distortion to your high-quality mic's crisp analog sound.

The best video camera sound I've found is on the Panasonic DVX-100A.  Its audio section is good as most DAT or solid-state flash memory recorders.  Shooting with one is like recording on a separate digital recorder.

Film sound is recorded with  a midrange bump, and an EQ raise above 6KHz.

6KHz is the high end of the human voice. Midrange is around 2.5KHz. The film sound "EQ raise" at 6KHz increases dialogue intelligibility and perceived crispness.

In video, sound is recorded without pre or post EQ. Video sound also usually uses inferior mics to those used in film sound. Film sound mics have a cleaner sound, and flatter response, sounding better than the mics used to record video sound. They are highly directional (rejecting extraneous noise).

Give your video sound's midrange an EQ bump, and a raise at 6Khz, and it will be more like how film sound is recorded. Get some decent mics, not the cheapies.  A Sennheiser ME66, or an Audio-Technika 835b, is mid-level, not terribly expensive, and really works well. Those will give you a rich and full sound.

You may not want to record double-system (sound recorder separate from the camera), but if you can, do it! If you have a Nagra or other analog tape recorder, use it.  They just sound better.

35mm mag film to edit?  Sounds great.  It should its a 1/4" magnetic track at 18ips, and if you fill empty spaces with slug stock, it's self-gating.

In film sound, the sound designer matches sound to the look of the film. A sad movie has mood lighting, and the sound will be designed to match it in emotional tone.  Its dialogue is EQ'd less crisply, with a lower-frequency boost.

In a happy comedy, lower frequencies are rolled off, and it's EQ'd and mixed to be "brighter."

Film sound is "sweetened" by manipulating room tone, premixing audio levels, and carefully considering dialog, music, and effects for their proper audio EQ.

Film sound expects post-production sweetening, which makes film audio sound so different from audio for video.  Video sound can be sweetened, but Indies use it pretty much as it is recorded.  Yuck! What can be done about it?  How can you make your movie sound like a real movie?

First, notice how video procedures are designed for quick-and-easy operation, and not really for quality.I think most video sound sucks because the camera operator is also the sound recordist, and the camera op doesn't care about sound.

He wants the framing and focus and color and bla bla bla. Sound is not his priority, and he's not really listening to what's coming through the mic and mixer and headphones.  He can't. For your sound to be good, you must care about it being good.

That care will force you to listen to your track, something most video hobbyists, and many filmmakers, simply don't do.

Until they've lost a film festival, and notice the winner has good sound. Or they see the one Indy film that comes along in a blue moon, the one with good sound.

If you actively listen to your track, you'll start hearing (it takes time to train your ears) all the junk you're recording.

You'll take the steps necessary (filtering, mic placement, EQ, editing) to discard everything that is extraneous.  Get rid of anything that doesn't create a mood, or push your story along.

You will put the mic just as close to your subject as you can, and roll off the wind noise, and use a fur piece on the mic, and only mix in enough room or ambient noise, and only when it's necessary.

If there's a single "most important part," I would say it is "gain staging."  Set your levels carefully - at every stage!

When we recorded in analog, there was a certain forgiving quality to the recording process.  Overmodulation would "saturate" the tape, limiting levels before actually distorting.

Now everything's digital, and if you're recording digitally (to DAT, CD, Mini-disc, or Flash Memory), there is very little "headroom," and much less tolerance for clipping, than in analog.

If your meter goes "into the red," the sound becomes a chattery digital nightmare.  It is ruined forever.  So make sure you use "-6Db" for your "0Db," to keep it clean.

Always "expect the unexpected" when setting your levels.  I've noticed actors always "perform" 6Db louder than they "rehearse," and musicians do too.

I always feed one mono signal to both stereo tracks, with L at the "proper" level, and R backed off 6Db or so.

If the sound gets too loud, L will distort, but I'll still have a chance to salvage that section of R, when I'm editing.

How much is enough? Experience will teach you. Listen! The major difference between how film dialog sounds and video dialog sounds is the EQ and compression that is used to make it intelligible and "fatter."  With practice, you will learn how to get that sound.  There is no shortcut - you must practice!

You will learn what distortion sounds like, and you will learn to set the gain properly, and boost the midrange or add compression in recording or mixing, when it's necessary, to push the important signal up out of the mud, and into your audience awareness.

How much boost? Again, experience.

That's why you need a Sound Mixer with sound as his only job, one who cares, with enough faith in his ears, and experience at setting the gain and EQ, and also a trained and experienced Boom Operator, with necessary skills to point and move the boom.

Make it clear to your sound crew that you consider sound just as important as the picture, and you expect good work from them.

Insist they yell "Cut!" if it distorts, and tell you when they need another take.

Don't make the mistake of letting "just anybody" volunteer to record sound.  Make sure they've done it before.

Just hanging a mic on a boom stand is better than nothing, but not very much better. Care must be taken at every stage.

Get the best sound you can, when you shoot, so your editing will go smoothly.

Few things are worse than an edit session that becomes an audio salvage operation.  It detracts from the creativity, replacing it with an air of desperation.  You want to edit, when you edit.

After your picture is locked, start the sound edit.  Split your tracks, so you can vary the gain on any element.  If two characters are talking, you should have each on his own track.

Cut your dialogue, and then effects.  Use your audio editing program to "normalize" your levels, and clean up the sound.

See what needs to be fixed, and fix it.  Some stuff can, like Boom mic crashes, and ambient noise, but if something is bad and can't be fixed, replace it with ADR, looping, and foley.

Foley is extremely subjective, that is, it's not realistic. You don't notice footsteps at all in real life, but in the movies, if you need to know somebody's purposefully walking along, the footsteps are loud and pure and pristine.

Tik, tik, tik.

Papers or clothes rustling, same thing. There are persons who make their living making clothing rustling noises, and walking and all those noises.  They're called "Walkers," or "Foley Artists."

I don't mind having to record every footstep and line of dialogue. I've done it enough, I know how to make it seem real. How? From doing it and doing it, so if you want to learn how, get started, record something.

In fact, I much prefer replacing location dialogue. This frees me to shoot with literally any camera, noisy or not.

Eyemo? Arri or Cameraflex? Mitchell, Eclair, Konvas?

All quite delightful results, if you record a track just to use as a guide track.

Or shoot two takes, one with the camera running, one without, but recording sound both times, and cheat the camera-less sound over the camera take, and cut it into sync.

Looney, but it works, and that's what I do, and I get good sound.

The harder and longer you work on your sound edit, the better chance your mix has to be good.

In my experience, looping or ADR are not all that expensive, when you have a vocal room in your house, and some good mics.

In a pinch, a closet full of coats works fine, or a tent made of carpet, hanging from the ceiling. Just put the mics away from your computer fan or open windows.

My friend Jimmy O'Brien, Editor and Dialogue Director at Universal for many years, told me he'd flown to NY and far-off places to record a few lines on occasion, if it would fix or change a line reading, or even change the whole plot line! I know much of what I know about film sound from a long-ago interview with Walter Murch, in an issue of "Filmmakers Newsletter," where he advised to replace all the lines, rather than just one, so they'll all match. Die-hard attitude, but his tracks are lovely.

One of those that comes to mind is "Apocalypse Now," which had virtually no usable sound when they entered post-production. Think about that - everything was ADR and Foley! Which brings me to the point in "making your movie sound like a real movie."

Real movies have real good sound tracks to start with, and are willing to replace most, and sometimes ALL the sound, to make it really good.

Use your imagination, to determine what process might make your sound "sound right."  Create a sound space for each scene that serves the story.  Use EQ and reverb and sound effects to create that space.

Compression is still a useful tool, even in these days of digital audio. It makes the "louds" quieter, and the "quiets" louder, raising the overall perceived level.  That makes the track easier to mix, because it is "pre-mixed."  The mix flies itself.

Use compression sparingly, so it doesn't make overall changes you don't want.  Rather than compressing everything, use your audio editing software to draw in your gain changes.

This is actually a manual type of compression, with intelligence, (yours).  Drawing in your level changes makes the track fatter and more intelligible.

Take all the time and care your movie requires, with only one outcome in mind, to make your movie tracks sound better. Have the picture scored by a composer who knows what he's doing, and get the very best mix you can.

Good audio takes as much planning as good picture, from start to finish.  Good audio doesn't "just happen," it is the result of careful listening, and time, and care.

Most video hobbyists don't give sound the attention it deserves, and that's why there's such an astonishing difference in quality between video and film sound.  Be different.

Start listening!  Take care!

The Advantages And Downsides Of Online Dating

Online dating is gaining in popularity all the time and is becoming more accepted. Online dating is a safe and practical way for people interested in a long term relationship to get to know one another.Obviously the idea of online dating is very different from how couples have traditionally dated. Online dating is gaining in popularity all the time and is becoming more accepted. Online dating is a safe and practical way for people interested in a long term relationship to get to know one another.

Obviously the idea of online dating is very different from how couples have traditionally dated. In the world of dating via the computer the dinner and movie becomes hours of online chat and perhaps some shared web cam time.

There are many sites available to people looking to find someone for an online dating experience. These sites differ from one another in many ways and it's important before you sign up with one to understand exactly what they are offering to you.

If you do a search for dating online you'll find that there are many sites that claim to be free. They offer individuals the opportunity to post a profile and a picture in the hopes of connecting with someone interested in getting to know them better.

Although online dating really began with these free sites, they do have drawbacks. These drawbacks should be carefully considered before a person reveals too much of themselves.

One of the drawbacks is that many of the free online dating sites don't have the resources available to screen everyone who joins. This means that if you sign up in search of an online dating partner that they cannot guarantee who you are talking with. The profile might read completely different than the actual person behind the keyboard. If you are serious about finding a mate than this type of site might lead to more heartbreak than anything else.

A good alternative to the free online dating sites is the pay sites. These sites charge a fee for members to join and search for a potential paramour. The identity of the person is authenticated so others can rest assured that they are really corresponding with who they think they are.

Any quality online dating site, whether free or not, should ensure that they will keep your identifying information confidential until you decide to share it; this is very important to keep in mind. If a site does not have a privacy policy in place you'd do well to not deal with them at all.

Most online dating sites will give their clients several choices when it comes to contacting other members they are interested in. Members will need to choose a screen name upon joining which is the way other members who are interested in dating them can identify them by. This screen name will also be used as part of an internal email system that members can then use to contact each other.

In addition, most online dating sites, also offer their members a change to use an instant messaging program which allows them to communicate over the computer in real time. This is very much like having a conversation through the computer's keyboard.

Online dating has led to some real time marriages. It's a great way to meet and learn about new and interesting people. If you think online dating is for you then research some of the available services, then sign up and get ready for a brand new adventure in dating.

Marala Telupana Priya Movie Review and Rating

Release date : August 05, 2016

Rating : 2/5

Director : Vani Kosaraju

Producer : Srichaitra Chalana Chitra

Music Director : Sekhar Chandra

Starring : Prince, Vyoma Nandi

Young hero Prince has been trying hard to survive in the game and is back with yet another youthful flick Marala Telupana Priya. The film which is directed by Vani has hit the screen today. Let’s see how it is.

Story:-

Vaishu(Yoma Nandi) is a spoilt brat who keeps partying with her friends and does not listen to her parents’ advice of getting married. One fine day, she meets a handsome music director named Krishna(Prince) and falls head over heels for him.

When things seem to be going just fine between them, Krishna goes missing all of a sudden. What will Vaishu do now ? What happened to Krishna ? What is this sudden twist in the romantic tale ? To know all the answers, watch the film on the big screen.

Plus Points:-

Yoma Nandi is one of the biggest assets of the film. She walks away with all the applause and does supremely well in her character. Her role gave a lot of scope for her to perform and Yoma pulls it off with ease. She was superb as the rich spoilt brat and also showed her versatility as the desperate lover during the second half.

Romantic scenes designed between the lead pair during the first half are decent. Interval bang is okay and elevates the film decently. Some scenes which showcase heroine’s search for the hero have been designed well.

Minus Points:-

Illogical narration is the biggest drawback of the film. The romantic moments and heart touching emotions between the lead pair are completely missing in this film. Even though, the film starts off on a interesting note, things falls apart as the film progress into the second part.

Logic goes for a toss in many scenes and so many important factors are unexplained. Certain scenes regarding hero’s memory loss look silly and over the top. The film is wrapped up in a hurry making things go haywire.

Technical Aspects:-

Shekhar Chandra’s music is impressive. Editing by Martand K Venkatesh is below par as many illogical scenes could have been easily removed. Production values are okay and so were the dialogues. Coming to the director Vani, she has done a decent job for her first film. The way she has etched out the heroine’s character and story looks quite experienced. She gives importance to her female character and showcases that how strong are women folks during this day and age. Credit should go to her for showcasing the heroine in such a pwerful role.

Verdict:-

For every love story to click, the feel good factor and romantic emotions are a must. But sadly for Marala Telupana Priya, none of these feelings exist and the film ends up as a painful watch. Except for Yoma Nandi’s sincere performance, this film has nothing much to offer this weekend. Look out for something else.

What is Premature Ejaculation?

Among a number of problems related with the sexual health of men and of course his partner, we find Premature Ejaculation as the most common sexual problem , this is a pathology characterized by a lack of voluntary control over ejaculation. Masters and Johnson stated that a man suffers from premature ejaculation if he ejaculates before his partner achieves orgasm in more than fifty percent of his sexual encounters. Other sex researchers have defined premature ejaculation as occurring if the man ejaculates within two minutes of penetration; however, a survey by Alfred Kinsey, (yes the inquisitive scientist of the movie the recently showed in theaters) made in the 1950s demonstrated that three quarters of men ejaculated within two minutes of penetration in over half of their sexual encounters. Today, most sex therapists understand premature ejaculation as occurring when a lack of ejaculatory control interferes with sexual or emotional well-being in one or both partners. An estimated thirty percent of men suffer from premature ejaculation on a consistent basis.

Premature Ejaculation is believed to be a psychological problem and does not represent any known organic disease involving the male reproductive tract or any known lesions in the brain or nervous system. In short, PE is not a physiological problem or disease, though it manifests physiologically by considering the organ systems directly affected by PE, that include the male reproductive tract (ie, penis, prostate, seminal vesicles, testicles, and their appendages), the portions of the central and peripheral nervous system controlling the male reproductive tract, and the reproductive organ systems of the sexual partner (for the purpose of this discussion, the partner is assumed to be female) that may not be stimulated sufficiently to achieve orgasm. If the PE occurs so early that it happens before commencement of sexual intercourse and the couple is attempting pregnancy, then pregnancy is impossible to achieve unless artificial insemination is used. Perhaps the most affected organ system is the psyche of the partners. Both partners are likely to be dissatisfied emotionally and physically by this problem.

Frequency:
In the US: The prevalence rate of PE in American males is estimated to range from 30-70%.
Internationally: Estimates for European countries and India mirror the prevalence in the United States. The prevalence in other parts of Asia, Africa, Australia, and elsewhere is unknown.
Mortality/Morbidity: No known direct morbidity or mortality results from PE.
Race: No reproducible data exist on major differences between racial groups with respect to the incidence or prevalence of PE.
Sex: PE is a condition that only affects males.
Age: PE can occur at virtually any age in an adult man's life. It is most common in younger men (aged 18-30 y), but it also may occur in conjunction with secondary impotence in men aged 45-65 years.
If you or someone near you suffers from Premature Ejaculation problems you should know that this is a curable condition. You can learn more at this site:http://www.askingplanet.com

Success Comes to Those Who Dont Know How to Quit

Do you remember the last time you saw an advert, book or movie for Harry Potter, watched or purchased an item from Disney, or switched your lights on? It's amazing how we enjoy these things, and so many other things on a daily basis, and yet they all started with a dream. A dream a person had for their life, and refused to give up on the dream, until their dream was fully realized.

If you have ever felt or feel like giving up, these three real life examples demonstrate the power one has in realizing their dreams, when they don't give up on them.

Thomas Edison, Inventor: Invented the phonograph, motion picture camera, and the electric light bulb. Edison was quoted as saying it would take a matter of a few weeks to invent the light bulb. In reality, it would take him almost two years of 6,000 failed attempts, in his experiments of the different carbonized plant fibers, looking for a carbon filament for his light bulb. During one of his experiments, Edison's laboratory was destroyed by an explosion. It was at this time we would think it would be all over for Edison, as he did not have the capital to build a new laboratory. It was his dear friend Henry Ford who heard about the explosion, who believed if anyone was going to find the answer it would be Edison. It was this faith, Ford had in Edison, he would loan Edison the money to build a new laboratory. Shortly, thereafter Edison would invent an entire lighting system rather than just a single light bulb.

Edison succeeded where others had failed. Edison chose to look at the big picture and created a lighting system including wiring, plugs, and connectors, to operate more than one light bulb at once. Thomas Edison's achievements include holding a world record of 1093 patents for inventions.

His most famous quote: "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."

Walt Disney, Disneyland: Walt Disney was raised on a farm near Marceline, Missouri; he became interested in drawing at only six years of age, selling his first sketches to neighbors when he was only seven years old. At 16 Disney was sent to France to drive an ambulance for Red Cross, the ambulance was covered stem to stern in Disney cartoons. It was at the age of 21, Walt had started to create "The Alice Comedies", half way through the production, he ran out of money, and went bankrupt. Walt had discussed his financial problems with his brother Roy, who suggested they pool all their resources together; in the process of pooling all their resources together, they obtained a loan for $500 to set up shop in their uncle's garage. Shortly after they received an order from New York and expanded. Walt's life long dream was to create the "Happiest Place on Earth" which we now know as Disneyland. He had drawn up plans for his huge Disneyland fun park, and was turned down 302 times before he got financing for his dream: Disneyland. Today, due to his persistence, millions of people have shared in 'the joy of Disney'.

J.K Rowling, Harry Potter: Joanne Rowling was born and raised in England, Rowling started writing fantasy stories when she was 6 years old. Her first story, Rabbit, was filled with interesting characters such as a large bee called Miss Bee. Eventually, she graduated from school to become a bilingual secretary due her parents persisting she would make a great secretary. However, Rowling while working as a secretary found it difficult to remain attentive, and often would write ideas for stories, rather than taking company notes.

A few years later Rowling would marry and have a daughter. Unfortunately, her marriage ended in a sad divorce, where Rowling found herself unemployed and collecting welfare to survive. This caused Rowling to feel a great sense of failure and unworthiness, as a result she admits to suffering from major depression, to the point she even contemplated suicide. The only reason she did not commit suicide was due to her daughter, as she asked herself, "who will take care of her and how will this impact the rest of her life." What's amazing is Rowling in suffering such an array of difficult circumstances was able to somehow find the strength within, to go back to her childhood dream, and that was to write the Harry Potter story. In writing her first manuscript she would often go to the cafes to write, as the cafes kept her and her daughter warm during England's cold winter months. Rowling in completing her first manuscript had submitted her manuscript to a number of publishers. Her manuscript was turned down by many, who told her it would never sell due to a lack of demand for such a book. Despite, these rejections, Rowling refused to give up, she kept sending out her manuscript, and it was a smaller publishing house based in London that agreed to publish the first Harry Potter book.

Her writings in the summer of 2000, had reportedly earned over $400 million for her first three Harry Potter books, which have been printed in 35 languages and sold over 30 million copies. She is now known as the most successful writer in the world with the most sales, in the shortest amount of time.

Keep on going, and the chances are that you will stumble on something, perhaps when you are least expecting it. I never heard of anyone ever stumbling on something sitting down. ~Charles F. Kettering

Golf Swing Secrets of Successful Players

If your golf swing becomes erratic the moment you try to hit the ball really hard you need to build an internal program that will guide it consistently. Jack Nicklaus used such a program which he described as being: like a movie in my mind. Now, you could have your own program to help you play consistently.

You can have a golf swing which will grind out powerful and accurate shots just like a champion, let me tell you how

The golf swing of a successful player differs from that of an ordinary player in two main respects; it is both correct and well grooved.

What do I mean by a correct golf swing? I mean that when the player swings the club with maximum power their body moves through a series of linked positions which enble them to control the club and thus achieve accuracy. Conversely, when an ordinary golfer tries to exert power they throw their body into incorrect positions and lose control and power.

A good golf swing is actually made up of a series of movements each of which positions the club correctly. It is this ability to make the correct body movements that allows the player to position the club correctly.

These different positions of the golf swing are not hard to achieve. The difficulty for most players is stringing them together and then keeping them togther when they try to hit the ball hard.

If your golf swing tends to become erratic the moment you try to hit the ball hard you need to go back to basics. No, you dont have to start learning all over again, but you do have to analyze each position and make sure that it is correct.

Then, once you know that each position is as it should be, you can start to link them together into an entire swing. And that is what I mean by well-grooved. The linked-together golf swing repeats itself time and again, even under the greatest pressure.

When you watch a really successful golfer swing the club you will notice that they all have a routine. The way they set up to the ball is always the same. Their pre-swing routine is always the same. The actual golf swing always looks the same except when they make a poor shot. Then you will notice that they look off balance and their body is often leaning over as they anxiously watch the flight of their ball.

The easy way for an ordinary golfer to achieve a correct and well-grooved golf swing is to develop a mind movie of their swing. Then, simply by running this mind movie every time you set up to the ball you will set your well grooved swing in motion. This is what Jack Nicklaus always did.

You can learn how to do build your own golf swing mind movie by going to the Google Internet search engine and type in the words golf mind movies. There you will find a number of sites which will tell you how to develop a powerful and accurate golf swing that repeats even under pressure.

This film has received several awards: Best Film and the Audience Award at the 2004 European Film Awards. Fatih Akin is an internationally acclaimed film director whose works include Visions of Europe, Crossing the Bridge:TheSoundofIstanbul and others. Head-On is thrilling and in general, it has an excited atmosphere and the good music that makes understandable the whole movie even without words. Moreover, the film emphasizes the theme of foreignness that is so familiar to its director. This movie has simple structure and clear plot. It is a richly entertaining film that colorfully evokes the music, dance, sexual life, and the concept of foreignness. The film is full of dramatic and realistic scenes. Moreover, it is full of dramatic theme and the theme of otherness or foreignness.

Personal life of major characters from the film cannot be called happy. The foreignness influences their lives. This does not mean their lives are the worst ones but the problems, which they face, are serious ones. Moreover, the culture is different in a foreign country and the film characters have to accept another type of society. The characters find it difficult to live in a foreign country, even for a short period of time. They remember that all changes are difficult and they need to go through all the difficulties in order to value everything they have. Both movies have received awards owing to the great performances of the characters. They are worth seeing as the play of characters is successful. All the parts of these movies have their brilliance.

A good movie usually has a simple plot. Head-On is a good example of simplicity. Head-On is a melodrama that will not leave you indifferent to it. It is worth seeing by all people who like movies of such kind. Head-On is shot in German and Turkish languages. In my opinion Head-On is one of the best dramatic films ever made. It has depth, emotion that makes the spectator think about the life and his actions. This is an affectionate film, salute to the magic of the movies, which recreates the experience of cinema in Germany and Turkey. It raises questions about the place of cinema and the meaning of love and realistic events in our life.

This film reveals the concept of foreignness, otherness that is so familiar to the director of the film. The performance of the cast is great. Birol Unel shines in this great film. He has the role of the 'lost soul' playing a 40-year-old Cahit who is a patient at a German psychiatric clinic. The film is the study of important events in our life, of the significant events people face being at the crossroads between the illusiveness of life and the uncertainty of the future.
