Verizon and Redbox Develop New Video Service to Battle Netflix

Verizonand RedBox develop new video service to fight with Netflix. What'stheir way to compete with Netflix? Read My article and know moreabout the battle between movie and video service providers.

AfterNetflix unveil its first original series, Verizon and Redbox aredeveloping a new video service to compete against Netflix, which willcombine Redbox's kiosk DVD and Blu-Ray rental service with streamingand downloadable video content made possible by Verizon's network.Specifics are scant at this point, but the new service seems primedto compete more directly with the once-thriving-now-strugglingNetflix: like Netflix, the Redbox-Verizon service will apparently besubscription-based, meaning customers will pay a flat fee for accessfor to both physical DVDs from Redbox machines and an online trove ofcontent available for both "on-demand streaming and download."

Thecompanies said that the joint venture will launch in the second halfof the year, and it will combine Redbox DVD and Blu-ray rentals withan on-demand streaming and download service from Verizon. The servicewill offer "subscription services and more," and it will beavailable on multiple platforms like smartphones, tablets, andtelevisions. Due to "competitive concerns," however,Verizon and Coinstar declined to provide details on exactly what theywill offer or how much it will cost, and did not take questionsduring a Monday morning conference call.Redbox has DVD kiosks insupermarkets, drug stores, and other locations nationwide. Customerscan reserve movies or games on their computers or smartphones, pickthem up from a nearby location, and return them when finished.According to an NPD survey from last month, Redbox is now the mostpopular source of DVD and Blu-ray disc rentals.

Netflixcustomers pay a flat fee for an unlimited amount of movies andtelevision shows, which they receive by mail or by streaming over theInternet; Redbox, meanwhile, has unleashed an army of DVD vendingmachines on the supermarkets and big box stores of America, offeringrentals on a pay-per-night basis. With its partnership with Verizonto bring content to the web, however, Redbox is entering Netflix'sterritory; the company's CEO Reed Hastings has reiterated many timesthat he believes streaming media, not the physical DVD, is the futureof his company. Redbox and Verizon join Amazon, Hulu, DishNetwork/Blockbuster, and the movie studios' Ultraviolet as upstartcompetitors looking to unseat Netflix in the streaming space.

Redboxhas kiosks at 29,000 locations nationwide, including grocery stores, convenience stores, drug stores, and at some Wal-Mart stores. "Byoffering instantly available online and mobile content with immediateaccess to physical media through rental kiosks, Verizon and Redboxwill be uniquely positioned to deliver the best of bothworldsdigital and physicalto consumers across the country,"the companies said. Netflix isstruggling after a shaky 2011, Verizon and Redbox will still havetheir work cut out for them. No mention of specific content was made, but Verizon said it will use its "industry-wide relationshipswith entertainment content providers" to ensure a good selectionof movies online.

Whether youre an out and proud cinemaphile, afilm fan or a movie go-er, you cant have failed to notice theglamorous photos of film stars lounging casually on their yachts at Cannes, and thought Well that looks like a nice life, doesnt it..

Im sure they slog it out behind the scenes somewhere, under theharsh lights of the set, delving deep for the scripted emotionalresponse, as directors tear their hair out, scriptwriters cower andeditors, in their dark little rooms slowly go blind over a secondsworth of footage; but by the time the press and then the public get tothem their blood sweat and tears have been reduced to an Oh, he/she was an absolute pleasure to work with gush of poise and warmth all round. The international film festivalsare where some of the best performances have to take place, as in frontof the gnashing jaws of the press and public, the pressure is on andthe big guns make their decisions about what well be watching at ourlocal cinemas in the following year. Each festival has its own angle. Cannes dazzles in the chic, sun bronzed glamour or the French Riviera, Toronto and Berlin showcase their own national industries, but with a global view, you love our films, well love yours, and Sundance, struggles to retain its edge as the promoter of new and documentarytalent, despite the encroaching fat wallets of Hollywood. Movies, movies, movies in your own home movie theater

We all love to go to the movie theater to relax after a long day ofwork. Even if you need to tide traffics jams to go to the movietheater, you are willing to endure this to be able to watch a movie. The sight and sound of a movie theater is what makes us go back thereevery so often.

We easily get lost in the movie scene because of the bigger than life pictures and surround sound that takes you there beside the characters in the movie. This may prove to be costly in the end but we continue to do this because we love to go to movie theaters and see movies. If you can bring home a movie theater, it will be good and I am sure you will love the idea. However, before you say no, think again. Going to the movie theaters every single day is definitely costly in the long run. Additionally, if you know the basic components of a home movie theater, you may not think twice and will definitely leave right now to acquire your own home movie theater. A complete setup of a movie theater in a big room is definitely only accessible to the rich and the famous. However, if you have meager budget, you can have the home movie theater for yourself knowing the basic components and setting up the home movie theater in a smaller room. You may convert you den to a home theater room. You only need the three basic components and you may already enjoy watching movies with no limit. If you have a television set, which I know you do, that is about 27 inches, you run away spending for the first major component of your home movie theater. The second major component, which I think you have, is the DVD player. If your DVD Player has progressive scan that is wonderful, however, even without progressive scan, your DVD player may work as the second component for your home movie theater. The final piece of the puzzle, which I want you to spend on, is the home theater speakers. You need three high-quality home theater speakers for your home movie theater. You need to place one on the right side, one on the left side and one on the rear center of the room. These are the three basic components of your home movie theater. You may now start enjoying unlimited movie and enjoy watching movies with your whole family. I am sure you will agree with me that this is the best part of owning your own home movie theater. The set up for your home movie theater with the three basic components is the best perfect setup for small rooms. However, if you have a bigger room for your home movie theater, I am sure you have a bigger budget for your home theater. Then you may want to consider the recommendation of home theater experts, you may add more speakers up to six home theater speakers and may need to compliment it with subwoofer to maintain the surround sound effect for your home movie theater. If you want a bigger picture, you may want to consider buying a home theater projector. You may also acquire home theater seating and television cabinet if you want to compliment the home theater design to make up a complete package for your home entertainment. All these additions to the basic components may be necessary if you have a bigger room. If the room is smaller, then you may only need the three basic components for your home movie theater.Having to be able to bring home the sight and sound you run after in movie theaters may be very efficient and less costly. Aside form the fact that you enjoy life with your family beside you watching movies after movies in your very own home movie theater.

Welcome to the world of justice and order - NYPD! While we wait for themovie featuring Robert De Niro and Al Pacino and scheduled to bereleased on September 12, we have a wonderful opportunity to enjoy thehidden object game based on the film. Righteous Kill will take you tothe very centre of a psychological thriller with you as the mainheroine.

What is human life worth? Who has the right to decide who lives and who dies?

AsErica Dean, a police officer in the Vigilante Unit of New York PoliceDepartment, you are assigned to investigate a homicide case. The Unitdeals with cases when citizens decide to take justice and law in theirown hands. This time Terry Collins, a young husband and father who losthis beloved family in a convenience store robbery, is the main suspectin the murder of the person responsible for the death of his wife anddaughter. The man was not convicted because of a legal technicality, and now he was found dead. Your mission is to look for evidence andbuild a strong case against the avenger.

So you start to search for evidence and investigate the case. Youwill visit 16 locations in your work. On each stage you have severallocations to explore. The game play is nothing unexpected - you lookfor items hidden in a screen. I would say the complexity level israther adequate as you don't have to get your eyes out of your head inorder to find something, but you are quite limited in time and thisbalances the game perfectly. For instance, in the first stage you haveto find 30 clues in 10 minutes - and that's absolutely possible!

Ifyou encounter a problem finding some tricky item, you can use your UVFlashlight as a hint. Unlike in most hidden object, you are not limitedin number of hints, but once you use your flashlight it requires sometime to be recharged, so be careful using it.

After you have finished a stage you'll be offered to play amini-game examining the found evidence and trying to find itsconnection to the suspect. The mini-games include jigsaw puzzles, taskswhere you have to find differences between pictures, looking forfingerprints and more.

On the whole the game is distinguished by the realistic atmospherecreated due to the sounds making you feel like you are in a park orlaundromat and the pleasant visuals.

Quite a worthy hidden object game, I would say.

Actress Natalia Nazarova plays a charming and heart warming role as Viktoria, an unsuspecting mail order bride from Russia, in an independent film titled Postmark Paradise. Nazarova has been very busy woman. Besides filmmaking, the world of music has been blessed with her many talents via some fine jazz and pop vocal albums. This is her first American film role.

Natalia is charming in this film and anyone that watches it will surely fall in love with her character. The classic underdog theme makes a good storyline and is a sure-fire hook for those that like movies full of the emotion and the story of peoples lives. For her American debut, this is a fabulous effort. This young lady is star material and I would hope that someone influential in Hollywood will have sense enough to give her a chance as a leading lady in a major motion picture, I am sure she could handle it quite well. I became very engrossed in this picture and enjoyed it entirely. There was fine acting in this film; all of the characters were true to life, which made it easy to become a part of the story, as if you were right there living it.

The story of the film begins with a TV newscaster explaining how gorgeous and eligible Russian girls are looking for an opportunity to come to America and marry any willing American man, then the scene changes to the bar The Dirty Shame located in Paradise Michigan. A group of local men are in the bar feeling good and decide to check into the mail order bride phenomena. Chick (Randall Godwin) masterminds the execution of the mail order bride for their friend Jake (Vincent Angelini), who is doing time in jail for drunk driving. The expectant bride Viktoria, is delivered at his homecoming party at the bar.

When the big moment arrives, Jake comes strolling into the bar and Viktoria stands up an introduces herself with a big beautiful smile and Jake takes one look at her and shrugs his shoulders, sits at the bar, and starts drinking and telling stories. Jake has no clue what this is all about, he is taken home later in the evening falling down drunk, thinking that the girl is a present for the night from his drinking buddies. That night Viktoria leaves in distress and Reenie (multiple award winning actress Tantoo Cardinal), the only barmaid at The Dirty Shame, sees her walking down the road crying. Many more life situations and drama develop thereafter.

The film tells a unique version of the American dream in small town America, following several twists and turns, the story ends unexpectedly, which I found most pleasant and satisfying. Natalia performs several of the songs in both Russian and English on the films soundtrack. Look for it about June 29, on DVD and Video. Rated PG-13

The Cartel - Americas Education System Examined

The Cartel - Bob Bowdon discuses his new documentary The Cartel a powerful account of Americas education system:

Bob Bowdon, a veteran broadcaster, decided after doing severalstories centering on the New Jersey Public Education system that enoughwas enough.

Along with his experiences and those of a friend who changed jobsfrom journalist to school teacher, Bowdon decided that it was time tochronicle what he saw in a documentary.

The result, made over two years and on Bowdons own bank account, isThe Cartel, a powerful account of mismanagement, overspending andintimidation prevalent in Americas education systemwith New Jersey asthe prime example cited for all of these ills.

During a recent stop to Philadelphia, Bowdon, who is next producingand hosting a PBS series in which teams debate each other oncontroversial topics, discussed the films journey to theaters and histhoughts about a broken education system which sends people out of highschool illiterate, has three-quarters of college level kids unable tofind Middle Eastern countries on a map and ranks 474th in the world inmath scores.

Movie FanFare: You use New Jersey as an example of a failededucation system. What can the country learn from the mistakes NewJersey has made?

Bob Bowdon: New Jersey has been the biggest spending state. Whateveryone can learn is that money doesnt equal quality. There areinputs people and outputs people. (The state says): We must be foreducation because we spent so much. Everybody knows you can hire abunch of people and have them sit around and fill out forms and itdoesnt affect a kids learning. So I know the issues are the same allover. New Jersey is our case study and preaches that if you thinkthrowing money is the answer, think again.

MFF: Has New Jersey Governor John Corzine seen this?

BB: I havent offered to show it to him because I presumed if he wanted to see it, hed find a way.

MFF: What triggered this project?

BB: Ive been a TV reporter that covered educational stories. Therewere these anecdotal stores that were not connected. An outrage here,or a terrible principal there, or millions of dollars disappearsomewhere else. What had not been done is tell the story in one picturewith all of these comparisons in the movie and how there are higherbudgets with no increase in performance by education to the students. On TV, weve seen some of the individual stories.

The final catalyst was my friend, a TV producer who got a job as aninner city high school English teacher. I said, This has got to be adocumentary. Theres too much here. Leaving aside whether I am greator terrible as a filmmaker, this kind of expose has never been donebefore. Maybe there is some obscure film out there that someone willpresent to me. But as far as I know it hasnt been done, even thougheducation is one of the key topics in the country, without sounding toograndiose. So the catalyst was my friend who was an English teacher.

MFF: Even though you had some prominent education figures appear inthe film, did you find many people reticent to speak to you abut thissubject on-camera?

BB: There are people all the time who come to me at film festivalswho are outraged and tell me their personal stories. I ask them if theywould do it on camera, and they say No, I cant do it on camera. Theymay be in the union, or their spouse may work for a school. They areafraid to speak out. You dont have to scratch the surface too far toknow there are people afraid to speak out. Call up six people and askthem to speak their mind and youll learn there are fear andintimidation in something as innocuous and wholesome as the publicschool system. That said, nonetheless we also did get a lot of people(to speak).

MFF: You focused primarily on schools in troubled cities likeCamden, Newark and Trenton, but isnt there another story to tell fromother schools in more settled neighborhoods?

BB: I am interested in improving public policies and I think thefilm goes to where the need is greatest. There are storiesof whichthere are many and we could have easily doneit would have taken timeaway from the real disasters going on elsewhere. If we looked at theother schools, then people may say its steady as she goes. But it is ared alert disaster in some of these worst schools, so for me to profilethe happy, it didnt make sense.

MFF: The Cartel is quite critical of the teachers unions role inthe problems as you show them protecting bad teachers and principalsand other acts that are harmful to a childs education.

BB: We take great pains to distinguish teachers unions with otherkinds of unions. When GM negotiates with the United Auto Workers, UAWdoesnt have a strong hand in running General Motors, who they arenegotiating with. But the teachers unions have a huge hand in selectingwho they give money to for the school board. Then the school boardselects the superintendent with whom they negotiate. So they create ascenario where the superintendent with whom they agree is the one whogets appointed by school board members seated through elections theyhave helped financed. Its a different kind of union then every otherunion in the country.

I believe in schools where the parent can leave their kid in a unionschool that could be their choice, or if they want to put their kid ina private school that doesnt have a union, that should be theirchoice. If a private school decides to unionize its teachers, then thatshould be their choice. I am not pro- or anti- union philosophically,as long as there is choice. The problem is if there is a monopoly andthere is only one choice, and you have to go there if you are a poorperson. Thats where the problem comes from.

LG 42LD550 LCD

No matter what movie is shown there is gradual degradation of dark degrees from side watching angles beginning at 40 degrees.

Display edges from high definition videos were crisp, clear and detailed. Black detail is great, looking greater in addition to darker compared to any telly set before, although even now exposing the necessary detail. Indeed, you give a price for the LG 42LD550 LCD television, but if you can take that extra cost, you will definitely be amply rewarded. We'd find it is very difficult to believe LG can find a replacement LCD with a staggering gap over the previous glorious selection; and, well, it has. LG's most recent collection of televisions are possibly the finest we'd ever noticed.

Display disturbance, even in the most problematic or smoky scenes, are suppressed effectively and textures for example skin tones persuade. The speakers work effectively, owning the power and quality youd assume given their cost. With less particular attention grabbing content, including some standard definition basketball broadcasts, the 42LD550 LCD does rather well. The popular 42LD550 from LG has the newest and perfect attributes which the manufacturer expects can continue LG rivalling with the Class 1 suppliers.

We feel the anti glare solutions launched into the TV display generates almost all the weakness complaints about coloring settings and also off perspective seeing. In motion, the LCDs display quality is just wonderful. Audio speakers feels strong as well, sounding crystal clear, balanced plus organized. It's not easy to provide a broadcast picture this size, but the LG 42LD550 LCD creates a solid stab. It is certainly largely free from noise and capable of producing precise, vivid images. Detail is definitely beautifully crisp and clean and well resolved despite fast action, and textures are exceedingly convincing. Darks turned into slightly hazy at side degrees however straight seem a good deal saturated.

No matter what movie is displayed discover low degradation of dark degrees as well as contrast from side viewing perspectives beginning at 5 degrees. Color details was rich yet no overpowering with Hi def films. The high resolution image by Blu Ray and also Broadcast HD was crystal clear, stunning and also amazing as at all times, however unfortunately the picture does not look as deep as several of the superior display we have watching of late. For a LCD even though, we're very impressed with all the 42LD550 LCD television abilities.

LG pronounces that customers quickly should be able to watch high resolution high grade video material at as much as 170 degree without having image failure. The high quality image looks good from regular observing distances (7 to 18 ft) and we barely witnessed image fading and additionally shade loss with probably the most intense observing angles. I loved the graphic quality quite from center and front and ended up being unable to detect the processing concerns the LCD exhibited in HQV tests. Commonly the particular LG42LD550 LCD definitely does deliver on its assurances.

LG indeed took a risk here with its design, and all of us realize they put companies resources in the right place. The remote control compliments the TV set by having an equally smooth, cool design. As the TV happens to be larger sized when compared with a typical LCD due to its built in canvas, the stand as well as frame placed surface of the canvas provide an incredibly modern border. We all appreciate the style and feel of the LG 42LD550 LCD television.

Release date : Dec 05, 2014
Author Rating : 2.5/5
Director : Nandyala Ravi
Producer : Giridhar Mamidipally
Music Director : K M Radhakrishna
Starring : Naga Shourya, Avika Gor

story:

Anand Rao (Rao Ramesh), is the head of Lakshmi Nilayam and is a very strict father. He meets and expresses his love directly. But it gets a huge shock when Lakshmi told her that she is already engaged. What is Sai doing now? Will it continue to woo Lakshmi? This forms the rest of the story.

Plus points:

For starters, the voice of Raj Tarun on when it presents all the characters is quite good. The first 40 minutes of the film is engaging and entertaining. The episode interval is also impressive. Coming to the performance, the young hero Naga Shourya gave a mature performance than his previous films. It looks beautiful and enacts quite convincingly. For the first time, this lover boy attempted action sequences and it is quite impressive with his fights. Avika Gor looks gorgeous in Indian attire and gave a dominant performance.Rao Ramesh gives a decent performance as a strict father. Sapthagiri comedy track is also a major asset for the film. Rest of the cast as Vennela Kishore, Naresh, Pragathi and Satyam Rajesh Venu were good in their respective roles.

MinusPoints:

After the first 40 minutes, the film gets stuck and moves at a snail's pace until episode apart. Post interval, the entire second half died slowly as the story goes haywire. Most of the second half seems to have been inspired starrer Ram 'Ganesh. The director included a fight sequence in the climax, which was quite unnecessary. There are many logical errors in the film and the highest point is unclear. Most of the movie is very predictable and nothing new was offered through his story line.

Technical aspects:

The photograph of Bala Reddy is superb as each image looks great and beautiful. He presented Vizag beauty enough. K.M.Radhakrishna music is good, but his background score is inconsistent. Film editing is poor, like most of the film wanders here and there. The film's production values are high. Debutante director Nandyala Ravi treated his characters as well, but his script during the second half of the failures and going for a draw.Sapthagiri comedy track is also a major asset for the film. Rest of the cast as Vennela Kishore, Naresh, Pragathi and Satyam Rajesh Venu were good in their respective roles.

Verdict:

Overall, "Lakshmi Raave My Intiki is just an entertainer below average which is good only in pieces. The entertaining first half, energy performance Naga Shourya and Avika Gor are the main positives. On the other hand, a second half slow paced and a climax flat spoil the fun completely.

Watching TV outdoor in your patio is something that is really enjoying. Sitting and watching TV in the cool breeze can be really awesome. Watching a movie outdoor at night is much more beautiful when the stars are scattered in the sky and the moon has lighted the night.

Most of you would be thinking that watching outdoor TV can damage the TV. Well you are right the TV needs to be protected from the outdoor environment for sure. What can be done to protect the TV? The TV cover can be used of course. It will protect the TV from damage. if you think you should place a plastic bag on the TV and save money then dont even think about it because the bag can easily rip up and it cannot properly protected the TV. You would probably be using tape in order to stick the plastic bag but believe me it would be really inconvenient to take off the plastic bag and then place it back again. This will be harming your TV instead of protecting it.

The best option to protect the TV is to use the TV cover. It is specially meant for providing all the protection that a TV needs. We certainly cannot invest money in buying TV again and again so isnt it better to protect it with something that is actually meant for it?
The best thing about these TV covers is the fact that they come in a number of different designs and styles. They are not plain and boring. This means that they will serve two purposes i.e. they can be used for the dcor of the TV as well as to protect it.

When you are buying the TV cover, it is important that you get one that matches with the furniture where the TV is to be placed. Furthermore, you need to make sure that is durable. If you will look for a cheap TV cover then it will not last for long because cheap stuff often is not good. You can find these covers at reasonable prices so look for the durables ones instead of the cheap ones.
Let me tell you how these covers will be protecting your TV. They will help in preventing moisture from getting into the TV.

Furthermore the containment air will not harm the TV when it will be covered. The outdoor covers also come with a plastic backup which protect the TV from rain.

If you are serious about the protection of your TV then dont neglect getting these covers. They are totally worth the money as they will be protecting your TV from dirt and debris. They will also make your TV much more durable.

Comedy movie go'ers delight...

Just got back from watching Rush Hour 3 at the theatre. Who said sequels cannot be as good as the first? In my humble opinion Rush Hour 3 easily ties the first Rush Hour the only advantage being the first had the element of surprise.

The writer's did a nice job tying the plot to the original movie. The plot is very basic but flows nicely. The stunts were fast moving, fantastic and mostly believable. A few of them went over the edge but nothing like MI3 or the Die Hard series, which to me were still good movies for different reasons. Sometimes you just want to veg at a movie and not have to think about anything.

Back to Rush Hour 3, get ready to laugh, laugh, laugh. Chris Tucker carries the whole movie and does a great job at it! Kudo's to you Chris, what a great comeback. He's put on a few pounds but can still move about the scene agilely. This is no Academy Award winning performance like Eddie Murphy should have received for his astounding Dream Girls performance but Chris Tucker really shows his versatile skills.

Jackie Chan does a good job as well. He helps to balance out Tucker's wild and crazy antics and keeps them from crossing the line (like much of Martin Lawerences' work) from funny to just plain stupid. It's all about timing and balance. The Chan and Tucker team definitely have both in this hilarious sequel.

The asian cast had quite a few veteran actors. Hiroyuki Sanada from The Last Samurai and Youki Kudoh from Memoirs of a Geisha.

The enormous international success of the Rush Hour series began in 1998 with Rush Hour and then the sequel Rush Hour 2 was released in 2001. According to Box Office Mojo, combined these two movies have grossed over $350 million dollars domestically.

My theatre was packed and the general mood felt like most of the movie goers enjoyed the flick. The movie itself is nicely compacted into 87 minutes so you're not sitting there so long you start to wonder why you came out. If you like comedies this is a must see. Even with a weak plot it's still remains very funny.

Below is one of the funniest dialogs presented in the movie:

Dojo Master: May I Help You?

Detective James Carter: I'll be asking the questions old man. Who are you?

Dojo Master: Yu.

Detective James Carter: No not me you!

Dojo Master: Yes I'm Yu!

Detective James Carter: Are you deaf?

Dojo Master: No Yu is blind!

Detective James Carter: I'm not blind, you blind

Dojo Master: That is what I just said.

Detective James Carter: You just said what?

Dojo Master: I did not say what, I said Yu.

Detective James Carter: That's what I'm asking you!

Dojo Master: And Yu is answering.

Detective James Carter: Shutup!

Detective James Carter: You!

Dojo Master: Yes?

Detective James Carter: Not You, Him! What's Your name?

Dojo Student: Mi.

Detective James Carter: Yes You!

Dojo Student: I'm Mi.

Dojo Master: He's Mi and I'm Yu.

Detective James Carter: And I'm about to whoop your old ass man because I am sick of playing games!

Get out and show some love for Rush Hour 3 this weekend. I'm betting this blockbuster will do quite nicely again at the box office.

S/O Satyamurthy Telugu Movie Review and Rating

Release date : April 09, 2015

AuthorRating : 3.25/5

Director : Trivikram Srinivas

Producer : S. Radha Krishna

Music Director : Devi Sri Prasad

Starring : Allu Arjun, Samantha, Adah Sharma, Nithya Menen

Story: -

Allu Arjun (Raj Anand) is the son of wealthy business tycoon is Europe Satyamurthy (Prakash Raj). One day Satyamurt pm dies in a car accident and Viraj is liable for all debts of his father. Things take an ugly turn that Viraj returned to India with his family. On his return to India, Viraj joined an event management company as a wedding planner. There, he was assigned the task of managing a high profile marriage. During the marriage, he falls for Sameera (Samantha).Twist in the tale arises when Sameera's father (Rajendra Prasad) is launching an open challenge to Viraj to marry his daughter. Rest of the story is how Viraj achieve his challenge and where do Nithya Menen, Upendra, Sneha and Adah Sharma in all this.

Plus Points: -

major advantage of the film is heavy star cast task. It is a treat for moviegoers to see so many stars in one place. Allu Arjun is the highlight of the film is superb in an emotional role. It provides consistent performance and is especially good with its dances.Kannada star Upendra is a perfect fit in his role and brings a lot of depth with Sneha. Ali and Brahmanandam are hilarious in their roles and provide comic relief to the film. Second half of the film is entertaining and also gets emotional during the climax.Samantha looks decent and does well in all his comedy scenes with Allu Arjun. Adah Sharma is capable in his role and justifies his character. The production values are superb that policymakers do not compromise on the look of the film.

Negative points: -

Story of the film is routine and has been treated many times before. Film length is too long as many scenes could be easily modified. After a certain point, the film becomes slightly predictable. The role of Nithya Menen lack of proper justification, and it is quite surprising to see an actress of her caliber take a small role.First half is quite simple as the entertainment quotient is a little less during this time. The film begins on an emotional note and moving forward with not much interesting happens during the first half.

Technical aspects:-

The music of Devi Sri Prasad is one of the greatest strengths of this film. All the songs are great and have been shot extremely well. But it is his background score that elevates the film to a decent level. Dialogues throughout Trivikram movie are top quality and N / Satyamurthy is no exception. Some dialogs that define human values were written with a lot of depth. The assembly is correct but some long scenes have been changed due to the film crispy. Coming director Trivikram he did a decent job in the execution of a routine story. The way he handled the entire star cast and performances extracted from them is good. The only drawback is that in his direction becomes slightly preachy at times.

Verdict:-

Overall, S / O Satyamurthy is a decent family entertainer. Performance rocking Allu Arjun and immense galaxy of stars are the major strengths of the film. If you ignore the routine history and go without much expectations, you can easily give this film a hit with the whole family.

Go Pro, Go Snow Make Your Own Winter Sports Movie

If you’re lucky enough to bag yourself one of those last minute ski deals, rub your mates’ noses in it by showing them what they’ve missed with a GoPro movie.

With the new generation of wearable video recording tech and new improved mountings you’ll never have to get home from a ski holiday and struggle to explain to your mates just how awesome it was - now you’ll be able to show them!

Check out our guide to making the best on-piste ski movie so you can show off your last minute ski deals and make your mates green with envy.

Camera Mountings

One of the most important things to think about when you’re setting out to make a skiing video is where you’re going to mount the camera.

Helmet fastenings are good and keep your hands free, but because of how much your head moves while you ski the result can be a little shaky.

The new generation of chest mounts provide a much more stable image and, because of the position, you get a more interesting frame than the sky and snow shots picked up by helmet cams.

Anyone who’s watched Graham Bell’s POV films for Ski Sunday, will know what a great view pole mounted cameras can provide. It is also easy to shift between point-of-view shots, filming other skiers and filming yourself. But remember, Graham Bell was an Olympic skier, so don’t expect your hands to be quite as steady on a downhill run as his, unless you’re advanced!

Boot, board and ski mounts can add an adrenalin-pumping element of speed to your skiing movie. You can also turn the camera to film yourself as you ski to create a more personal view than just the snow.

Filters Improve Quality

In bright, sunny conditions it can be hard to retain the quality of your film because of over-exposure. A Neutral Density Filter can slow down the shutter speed and make your film look better quality with a smoother finish.

Take Time to Edit

We’ve all seen the shaky, frankly boring, images of skiers doing one long run with a GoPro attached to their helmet. By editing a few different runs together with the camera mounted in different positions each time, there’s no reason why you can’t shake things up a bit for your movie.

The movies which will best capture the full experience of your last minute ski deals will be the ones which combine a number of shots, so think about editing your ski movie. Show no more than 30 seconds of each run and try to ensure that you mix up camera positions so that the footage does not all look the same.

Music Makes the Movie

Where would the film Psycho be without that freaky music in the shower scene? Your music choice could have a similar impact on your skiing movie, if you pick wisely. Choose tracks with a similar rhythm to your skiing and mix different tracks together to make a compelling soundtrack for your movie.

So, next time you manage to bag one of those last minute ski deals, make sure your mates are truly impressed by presenting them with an awesome movie of your time away - and who knows, next time they might all be queuing up to go with you!

How Adam Sandler Taught Me To Eat Healthy

Healthy living lessons sometimes hide in the strangest places. Learn how an Adam Sandler movie put a new perspective on healthy eating for this healthy living expert. A lesson anyone can use!

The other day a friend of mine told me I just HAD to watch the movie "Click" starring Adam Sandler. Seeing that I was, as he put it, "into all that personal development stuff" he said he thought I would like it. Well, since Adam Sandler has never struck me as a "personal development guru", this was enough to intrigue me enough to watch the movie...

The show is actually quite good, and has a great moral to it (although let me be quick to point out that it's delivered with plenty of Sandler's usual vulgar bathroom humor...so don't say I didn't warn you). Long story short - it's a modern-day "It's a Wonderful Life" where the main character realizes that his career is not worth the price of his family...good feel-good kind of stuff.

However, this was not the part of the movie that stuck most in my mind.

It was actually just one little line in the script that came and went so fast that it wouldn't register with most people. But it was profound...

It goes like this...

Sandler's character, Michael, it seems, has a penchant for Twinkies and other junk food. His strange new friend named "Morty" (Christopher Walken - the one who gives him the magic remote control that can "fast forward" to the future), makes a simple, yet powerful observation about his eating habits...

He says, "Michael, THAT FOOD (speaking of the junk food) is contributing to your DEATH, not your LIFE".

What's especially poignant about this statement is that later in the movie, it's revealed that Michael's new friend "Morty" is a really an Angel...

...He's the Angel of DEATH.

Don't worry, this is not just another lecture on junk food. It goes deeper that that, I hope. The reason that this statement from Morty, the Angel of Death, hit me (other than the fact that I was eating popcorn and drinking a soda when I heard it...yes, I do have "free days to enjoy my favorites") was that I realized there is NO neutral middle ground or "coasting". Every small thing that we do either takes us closer to the life that we really want - or closer to destruction.

The fact is - all food that you take into your mouth has either a positive effect or a damaging effect. Fruits, vegetables, and other healthy foods help the body, while junk food destroys it - slowly.

However, the reason so many people fall victim to "it's just one twinkie" is that it takes so long to notice, that most of us think that nothing bad is happening. Since we can't see the plaque lining up in our arteries, or since we don't feel bad, we figure we've got "good genes" (or some other lie that we tell ourselves) and we're somehow going to cheat the truth. But that's not how it works. By the time we realize what we've done, it's often too late. We can end up 50 lbs overweight with a heart condition, cancer, diabetes, etc.

And on a side note...this way of thinking can also work against us in ALL other key parts of our lives, if we let it happen:

- Like when we hang around "toxic" negative people. Little by little, we take on their attitudes and before we know it... we're one of them.

- When we yell our kids for the 10,000th time, and withhold our praise for the good things they do. Slowly but surely, the walls go up and our behavior helps to turn them into the "nightmare" teenagers that we feared...yet created.

- When we simply TALK about achieving higher financial success, but never get around to DOING anything about it.

We spend our lives working to make someone else's dreams happen, only to end up bitter and resentful and on a fixed retirement income.

The GOOD NEWS is that you can chose to change your behavior and attitude about food and exercise (and all parts of your life if you chose) which will lead to inevitable success.

How? By consciously making the small, seemingly insignificant right decisions day-in-and-day-out. This is what the successful minority DO and unsuccessful majority WON'T DO.

The truth is, there is enough "how-to" weight loss "gurus" and "plans" in the world RIGHT NOW for anyone to become incredibly confused. People don't need more "How-To" weight loss programs. They need more "DO" solutions. Think about this for a moment...66.3% of Americans are overweight and that's estimated to shoot up to 75% in 2015 if we don't change our ways. Look, it's EASY to do the things day in-day out that it takes be successful at weight loss. Problem is....it's also EASY not to do them. Which do you choose?

So what's it going to be? Put yourself in Adam Sandler's characters' shoes...are you going to continue to do the things that lead to your destruction? Or are you ready to make the necessary changes that will ensure you stick around, happy and healthy, for a very long time?

Choice is yours....
