A dreaded gangster named Bhattu manages to steal an expensive gold box of cookies. Twist in the tale arises when his assistants steal the box from him and place it in a nearby car to a mechanic shop that is owned by Khanna (Ram Khanna).On the other hand, Anand (Mamas) and Josh Ravi (Chitti) are two young people who remain unemployed with Khanna. Fate hits the tape as they come through the box and decide to sell it and make money. Will they do the job? How will they escape the evil Bhattu? Which forms the rest of the story.

Plus Points: -

major advantage of the film is the comedy quotient. This film has enough adult comedy that entertain the public to some extent. Josh Ravi is the climax of the film and does well in his comic role. All the scenes with his friends and the gay comedy Rocket Raghava in the second half is good.Lead hero Manas and Khanna suit their characters well. Khanna talented actor, is very good as the guy who gets cheated and gives a right to emotional representation throughout the film. It is the main pillar of the film and generates great chemistry with two other friends. Shamili Shravya heroines and look good and provide good support for the film.
The production values are good that the film was decently. A comedy of the situation during the climax is good. Second half of the film becomes interesting as a game of cat and mouse becomes the main stay. The adult comedy that comes with the character of Josh Ravi will go well with the masses.

Negative points: -

The film is 140 minutes is a bit long for today's standards. If policy makers have changed the film by at least a quarter of an hour, the result would have been more effective. The villain is a little disappointing in the film. There are a lot of unnecessary scenes that he and his wickedness highlight.Like any other crime comedy, even this film becomes predictable after a point. You know exactly what will happen in the film. After half an hour interesting in the first half, the film bogs down. The manager consumes too many scenes to present the two stories of the lead pair.A romantic song bursts out now where in the second half and spoil the flow of the film. Although the highlight of the film is okay, he was dragged unnecessarily.

Technical aspects :-

By Dev camerawork is pretty good and highlights the places in Hyderabad superb light. This young talent gives particular weight to the film with its stunning visuals. Music by JB is pretty good, especially the title song, which also received a good ball. Dialogues are in the typical style Maruthi and depending on the mood of the film. screenplay is below par, but is much better in the second half.Director Shiva Ganesh done a decent job with this film. Even if he chooses a routine story, he balanced the comedy quotient. The only place where it falters with the use of unwanted scenes throughout the film.

Verdict: -

Overall, Kai Kai Raja some decent fun elements. Excellent comedy Josh Ravi and an interesting premise is basic asset of the film. If you ignore the excessive length and some unwanted scenes in the first half, you might end up liking this routine crime comedy.

Sundeep Kishan gives another performance matured after Ra Ra Krishnayya. He worked very hard on his body and his comic timing is very good in the film. The pace of the first half is dead slow the script gets stuck after the introductory scenes. There are not a good flow in the film during this part and once the twist is revealed, the rest of the story becomes predictable. Priya Banerjee and Sushma Raj are wasted because they have nothing to do in the film.Although Sapthagiri is good, the manager could not use it to its potential. Too many characters in the film leaves the audience confused. The character of Ajay lack of justification and proper end.

Technical aspects:

Cinematography of the film is good and especially the songs have been shot beautifully. Music of the film is pretty much ok and so is the background score. Editor could focus more on the first half to make it crispy.Director Nagendra Kumar tries a comedy artist after "Gundello Godari" but fails in its execution altogether. Somewhere along the line, it went wrong with his script and messed up with too many characters.

Verdict:

Overall, "Joru" ends as a mere entertainer below average. Too many characters and boring first half are the main disadvantages of the film. Sundeep Kishan and performance, climax, and Brahmi comedy Raashi Khanna is the only point. You can not give this movie a shot if you have absolutely nothing else to do.

Thegroup receives their assignments via their handler, Tool (played by MickeyRourke).

The audience gets introduced to The Expendables as theycomplete their current assignment. They board a boat where rebels are about tokill hostages. Though they are hopelessly outnumbered, the mercenaries displaytheir killing skills and ultra cool manner under pressure as theysystematically kill every rebel onboard. Among the imaginative kills is onecase where the enemy has his upper body decapitated, but his legs are stillstanding. Shortly after their meeting with Sandra things go awry, and Ross andChristmas are forced to flee the country in a hail of gunfire and explosions.Sandra is captured before she can escape.

With the knowledge that Sandra is facing certain torture anddeath, Ross gathers the rest of his mercenary group to go back into Vilena totry to save Sandra and defeat Garza and Monroe.

The action scenes in this movie are exhilarating andconstant. There are tons of gunfire and explosions. I was most impressed by allthe exhausting hand-to-hand combat, especially by Jason Statham and Stone ColdSteve Austin. They are machines.

Sylvester Stallone is fantastic and a marvel at age 64. Hisphysical presence and energy are those of a much younger man. And though he isthe star of the movie, he gives much screen time to the other actors,especially Jason Statham. In fact this role sets up Statham to star in manymore action flicks.

The 2 best performances though belong to Mickey Rourke and EricRoberts.

Rourke plays the long-time mercenary turned overseer as asort of wise old sage. He is clearly tired and worn out from many years offighting and killing. There is one standout scene in particular where he givesa soliloquy about his life to Ross. This is another high point in the resurrection of Rourkescareer.

Eric Roberts is known for intense supporting roles, and heis superb as the disgraced CIA operative who is really pulling the politicalstrings of the tyrannical General.

Finally, the scene that everyone has been talking about .the one where the Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willisshare the screen for the first and only time in history is awesome!. They are the 3 Mount Rushmore figures of 1980s action movies, and to see theminteracting in the same scene is unbelievable.

The Expendables is not only a great action movie, buthistoric in what it delivers. Supposedly Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagalwere also offered roles in this film but turned them down. That was definitelytheir loss.

Sometimes we are in a position to look into the lives of other people. It could be through a book, or a movie, or a story we hear, or occasionally it could be someone that we meet. Sometimes when this happens, we see qualities that we truly admire, and we think that we would like to have those qualities. Perhaps we just look at the person and think that we would like to be like them. Maybe we hear what they have said and think that we would like to be able to say things like that. It could be that we would like to have what they have, or do what they do.

When this happens, what we are thinking about are our own rejected thoughts. Sometime in the past we have rejected a thought or thoughts, that the person we are admiring has accepted.

When, perhaps when we were very young, we rejected the thought that we could have what we have just been admiring in someone else, we accepted a lesser thought, and allowed that lesser thought to become part of our self image, and therefore part of our definition of ourselves.

Our self image lives in our sub-conscious mind. Because of the way the sub-conscious mind works, we can only have one self image with regard to any particular quality. If we really want to have the qualities we are admiring, and there is no reason why we cant, then we need to change our self image.

The first step is to be prepared to do just that. Think about this for a minute. Are you prepared to let go of what you have learned in the past, that you believe is true about yourself? By that I mean to examine the ideas that you know are true about yourself, and then to take the new idea that you are considering, and to examine that idea, entertain that idea, to see if it will improve your view of yourself. Will accepting that new idea, and rejecting the idea that you currently know, result in a happier, healthier or more prosperous life. If the answer is yes, and you are prepared to do it, then you have the possibility to change your self image.

The methods we use to change our self image is outside the scope of this article, but taking the above actions is the first step.

Bad Movie Review - The Convent

The Convent is a relatively entertaining and extremely low budget B-Movie, that desperately wants to be Evil Dead but misses the mark. It was released in 2000 straight to video, and has gained a small cult following.

The film opens with a flashback to the 1950s, where a teenage girl stylishly shoots up the Convent, in the best display of mass um.. clergyside since, well, ever I guess. If anyone knows of another film that features multiple nuns and priests getting shot, so I can compare, let me know. Those of you who might be offended by members of the clergy being brutally murdered needn't worry though, these nuns were possessed by demons, and performed an abortion on the gun-woman for reasons unknown, so they kind of deserved it.

Following the story of a bunch of hapless teenagers, including but certainly not limited to, a pretentious Goth, a reformed Goth cum Jock, an annoying cheerleader, and a desperate virgin, the film truly runs the gamut of horror movie cliches. Our heroes, through a series of ridiculously bad, though thoroughly predictable, horror movie judgement calls, end up on the run from the aforementioned demonic zombie-nuns (You didn't think they'd actually stay dead, did you?). As you can imagine with such subject matter, the movie doesnt take itself too seriously and, as such, it is clear that the cliches are mostly intentional. In fact, I found them to be amusing for the first 20 minutes or so, but they quickly become tiresome as the film progresses. The wannabe Satan worshippers, who gave me SNL "Goth Talk" flashbacks, are one of two legitimately funny parts of the film. Coolio makes an amusing cameo appearance in the second funny moment, but by and large the film strains for laughter, and more often than not, comes off as unintentionally hilarious at inappropriate moments.

Adrienne Barbeau also makes a cameo appearance as the older, slightly more insane version of our teenage nun-killer. Horror fans will no doubt recognize her from a number of John Carpenter flicks from the early 80s, including The Fog. Unfortunately she has little to do here, and I think the film could have benefited from exploring her character more, or at least giving her more screen time to do some ass-kicking.

The jaw dropping make-up and gore effects of the equally low budget (but far superior) Evil Dead are nowhere to be found, and in general, the special effects work in this film is quite sloppy. Some of the gore effects are clever, but the zombies look like people with some makeup, stuck under black light, while having some sort of seizure. The end of the film also features perhaps one of the worst attempts at a special effects that I've seen in recent memory.

All in all, this is not a film that I would want to watch again by myself, but it's still worth seeing, especially with a group of friends for bad movie night. After all, how many spastic zombie nuns does one get to see in the movies today?
