Numbing, captivating, sorrowful, beautiful, profound, phenomenal and humbling - are just a few words to describe Mel Gibson's "The Passion." The last 12 hours of Jesus' life has never been so realistically and dramatically depicted. The scenes, although graphic are compelling and true-to-life.

The most sensitive scene presents Jesus carrying the cross upon His shoulders. As He staggers upon the cobblestone walkway, Mary sees a flashback of their lives together. A mere child, Jesus falls to the ground and Mother Mary is there to help him, "I'm here," she says. A million miles away in thought, Mary runs to the aid of her now-grown Son-Of-Man, as He, too stumbles to the stony pathway.

"The Passion" truly characterizes the meaning of "truth." There are no other words to describe this film other than it is "The Passion" of Christ. If anything, "The Passion" promotes absolute faith, forgiveness, love and hope - not only to God, but of humankind as well.

Starring James Caviezel (as leading role of Jesus Christ), "The Passion," in my opinion, does not induce an anti-Semitic depiction of the Jewish people; rather, it is a deep and profound truth which Mel Gibson had courage to recreate for all the world to see.

"The Passion" is playing in movie theaters everywhere. My advice is to view this movie with an open mind and open heart - the rest will follow.

Digital cinema, in my opinion, is the only important development in the industry in decades. The reasons are obvious.

You can now watch the equivalent of high definition television images on a screen the size of a house.

No longer do you have to watch a washed-out looking third generation film print that comes complete with scratches, burn holes and grain.

The image is stable as a rock, since theyre not dragging film sprockets over registration pins as in a traditional projector.

Because the movie originates on a hard drive rather than big reels of film stock, the presentation is not limited to the jittery 24 frames-per-second rate. Smoother pans are now possible since, in the digital domain, algorithms can be applied to correct such artifacts.

No more pops and clicks. Again, sound originates from an entirely digital source.

What really motivated me to write this was my recent viewing of Avatar. The story line didnt get my bum into the seat at the theatre. It was interesting, but not the most compelling movie Ive ever seen. As a contractor for one of the companies that makes digital cinema projectors here in Ontario (and that supplied my local theatre), I was keen to see what digital projection, coupled with 3D technology, could do.

It was immediately clear to me that the same effect could not have been produced with film-based 3D. The timing was definitely right for Mr. Cameron to release this epic. Technology made it work. Any artifacts I detected were minor, brief and probably undetectable by the general populace. This was a perfect experience, flawless from corner to corner. I even found myself twitching to dodge a projectile that seemed to fly off the screen and whiz right by my head!

So whats next for the cinema experience? In my humble opinion, the quality and resolution of the visual presentation is now approaching the limits of what we humans can discern. So, maybe the wrap-around screen will make a comeback, or holograms. How about the stimulation of other senses, such as smell and touch?

And what about the home theatre? If the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is an accurate indicator, 3D HDTV will soon be coming to a living room near you. Think of it. Not only will you have to find the remote in the couch, but maybe your 3D glasses as well.

Plus Points: -

Undoubtedly, Kamal Haasan is the biggest advantage for this film. His performance as a dying superstar is huge and will keep you emotionally. There are some scenes for the climax that will bring a lump in the throat. How Kamal portrayed his controversial life and presents his comic timing as an artist of Theyyam is pretty good.legendary director K Balachander is perfect in his role and brings a lot of depth to the film. All his scenes with Kamal Haasan are so heart touching and present the connection between them. climax of the film was well managed and provides emotional appeal of the film.Andrea and Pooja Kumar heroines look good in their respective roles and provide good support for the film. A scene where he confronts his son was beautifully written.

Negative points: -

Uttama Villain has its flaws and can get boring at times. Although the period drama was well presented, the way it was reported in the second half is below par. The film moves back and forth in time and manner of underwater terrain is connected to the main theme seems boring and jaded.Yet another disappointing main factor of the film is the runtime. The film lasts three hours and can get on your nerves. There are a number of scenes in the second half that could have easily been cut to make the film crispy. After half an hour in an interesting first half, the pace of the film decreases drastically. K Vishwanath was not used to its potential.Uttama Villain has absolutely no entertainment value and become boring for those seeking the popcorn entertainment. Uttama Villain is super strong technically. The art direction is top notch and the sets and types of light are just wonderful. Yet another major asset of this film is huge Ghibran background score that elevates the film to another level.Music of the film is about right. As said earlier, the screenplay is the biggest and less bogged down every time the movie goes back in time. Story provided by Kamal Haasan's pretty good, but the director Ramesh Aravind so the keeper manages narrative flow of the film.

Verdict:-

Overall, Uttama Villain will appeal to a certain part of the audience. mature performance Kamal Haasan and emotional climax are basic assets of the film. On the other hand, a second half and the prolonged absence of entertainment values go against the film a long time. Finally, all those who love the style of Kamal Haasan film manufacturing and melodrama could end up loving it. But otherwise, it's just a lower average case.

About a year and a half ago I had a doctor’s appointment for my annual checkup. It was on a work day and I could have gone in late, but I decided to take the day off. A “day off” sounds nice but in reality I had a ton of work to do. I had to edit my book, (Hopeless To Husband: How to Get Out Of the Basement And Change Your Life, available on Amazon- I know, shameless plug) and I also had to get my website up and running, (TreatHerRight.org- last shameless plug) For the previous year I had been working feverously during my lunch hour at work and any spare time I had- which wasn’t much. The long term plan was to sell a million books and be able to work from home so I could take care of my future children. (If my boss is by chance reading this- sorry)

I’m a “Tony Robbins guy”. Tony talks about envisioning yourself being successful so instead of taking the “day off” I wanted to make the day a test run of when I would be financially independent. I started the day with a little exercise and having egg whites for breakfast as I wanted to make sure my new routine would be health conscious. As I was making breakfast I was listening to an interview with somebody who mentioned they were from Allentown Pennsylvania. “Just like the Billy Joel song – Well we’re living here in Allentown, and they’re closing all the factories down,” He said. I was reminded how, a few days ago, I had just put my best of Billy Joel CD on my new computer and as soon as the interview was over I started listening.

Of course I started off with “Allentown” and then listened to “Don’t Ask Me Why”. Throughout the day I must have listened to the mix a few times. I had an extremely productive day. I finished editing my book, had a phone meeting with my web designer, as well as made various other phone calls that I had been putting off or just didn’t the time to do. I was “in the zone”. I wasted no time throughout the day and worked as if it was a regular thing to work from home. I made a promise to myself to take more days off from work to concentrate on side projects that I had. The next day was business as usual as I returned to my 8-6 job.

As the next few weeks went by I still spent my lunch hour working on my book and website but I didn’t have enough free time to get the ball rolling on what I wanted to do. Driving home from the store one day I turned on the radio and Billy Joel was on. I immediately was brought back to the state of mind that I was two weeks previous of when I was “in the zone” To not let the moment be lost when I returned home I immediately did a few things that I had been putting off. In fact over the course of the next year whenever I was in a malaise I would just put some Billy Joel on my ipod and if nothing else I got some sort of motivation. The great part is he seemed t on be everywhere. He was playing on the New Years Eve show my wife and I watched and he seemed to constantly be on the radio. He was everywhere and he even started a gimmick where he played Madison Square Garden every month for the foreseeable future.

You can take one guess what I got my wife for her Birthday last year. In a coincidence the night that we went to see Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden it was the first day of my free download promotion to kick off the debut of the book. Not only that, but my book was the number one free downloaded dating book for men at the time. The night was surreal. As the “piano man” played, not only was I shocked at how great he sounded at 65 years old but when I looked back at my life over the last year I was amazed at how much I had accomplished. Not only had I reached my goals with my book, website, and doing self-help podcasts for single men, but my wife and I had purchased our first home together. At 38 years old I had never had a year in my life where I had attained so much.

I’m not giving Billy Joel or Tony Robbins for that matter, the credit for what I was able to do that year. But both of them served as anchors that would get me back on the right track when I would lose focus. In a coincidence I had picked a very popular singer, that whenever I heard his music; it would bring me back to a place where I was “in my zone.” The next time you accomplish something big; listen to some kind of music. It doesn’t matter who sings it or what song. I would recommend something popular since you have a better chance of hearing it more often. In the future when you hear that song, or artist, it will bring you back to that place where you got the job, scored the touchdown, or the woman of your dreams kissed you for the first time. It will bring you to a place where you feel you can do anything you want- and you can.

What do Billy Joel and Tony Robbins have in common? They have sold millions of CD’s, sold out arenas, traveled the world, and coincidently been married three times. But for me, they both can bring me to a state where I feel I can accomplish any goal I set in front of me. They both can get me “in my zone” By the way; I took a “snow day” off from work today to write this.

No, I'm not talking about the warm and fuzzy movie that was
on cable the other night with Nicholas Cage and Brigitte Fonda.
I'm talking about another type of experience altogether - one of
the decidedly cold and nasty variety.

You know what cybersquatting is, right? It's when someone
registers a domain name that heretofore has been someone
else's trademark, with the intent to hold the name for ransom.
Sometimes these people identify trademarks in the market place
and snap up the domain name figuring that, sooner or later, the
owner of the trademark is going to want to register the domain
name and may even be prepared to pay handsomely for the
privilege.

Other times, and this may even be worse, these trolls seize
domain names that have lapsed due to their owners failing to
renew them in time. When the former owner tries to renew they
soon learn to their horror that someone else has gazzumped
them and are demanding several hundreds or thousands of
dollars to return their property to them. As reprehensible as
this practice is, there's nothing new about it and the courts are
chock-full of cases brought by the outraged victims.

But put *yourself* in the shoes of the poor person who has
unwittingly allowed her domain name registration to lapse only
to find that "Dave Web" is now the rightful owner and wants
$550 from you to give it back.

Now put yourself into these size elevens ... not only has Dave
Web kidnapped your domain name, the very one that used to
point to the site containing all of your hard work for the past
three years, the domain name that is synonymous with your
hard-earned reputation, not only that ... it now points somewhere
else.

To a porn site.

We have now graduated from "mere" cybersquatting to criminal
extortion. Not to mention criminal defamation.

This, believe it or not, is what happened to Jan Tallent-Dandridge
just this week. Many of you will know Jan as the publisher of Rim
Digest (http://www.rimdigest.com). You may also be familiar with
her other websites, http://www.marketingwarrioress.com and
http://www.jtdbizopps.com, although if you tried to visit the latter site
today, you'd get a rather unpleasant surprise. This is the domain
name hijacked by Dave Web.

To give you the background to this sorry tale, I asked Jan's
permission to reprint her email to me

"... I had a domain name, jtdbizopps.com, for over two years but did
not renew it. Instead I set up marketingwarrioress.com as a mirror
and quit running ads, swaps, etc. for the old name.

"When it came up for renewal, I was going to renew it just to keep it
from being used for a year or so as I still had ads and link swaps out
there I could not track down.

"Network solutions would not release the name to me without my
paying them $70 for 2 years and THEN transferring it somewhere
else. I felt this was ridiculous since namebargain.com, etc. are only
$10 or so a year.

"I did not renew in time and when I did try, about a week after the
cancellation date, it was "in purge", to quote NS, and I would have
to wait 30 days or so for it to become available again.

"During this time an individual bought it somehow and offered it back
to me for $550.00.

"Needless to say, I declined, number one, I did not want to USE the
name anyway and number two, that was ransom!

"Well, tonight I found out that this company is parking a PORN site at
that domain name and once again offered to sell it back to me for
$550.00. I feel this is obvious blackmail but not only do I not have
the money, I would not pay that ridiculous amount even if I could.

"My eBook had a "live" link that was accidentally left as
jtdbizopps.com instead of marketingwarrioress.com though both
my compiler and I thought they had all been changed.

"I was told off by a new subscriber who eagerly downloaded my
eBook and then clicked the link that went straight to the porn
site. I have spent the past 3 years working myself half to death,
as I know YOU know about, and now my credibility and NAME
are in danger due to this "person" using my ex-domain for this
purpose.

"I know there is no way to get the name back without paying for it
and/or stopping this "person" from using it for this or any other
business, but I am hoping there is some damage control I can do
to maybe make it worth his/her/ITS while to discontinue using a
domain I can prove I had been using for over 2 years in this way
if it hurts my business or name in any way.

"Sorry for rambling, but once I quit crying, screaming, throwing
up, crying and screaming some more I am now down to
incoherent stuttering.

My primary motivation in writing this article is to help get the word
out about what has happened to Jan so that, hopefully, those who
do not know her will realize that she is, in fact, an innocent victim in
all of this and not some nefarious person who gets her kicks from
enticing people to visit a porn site when they thought they were
visiting an internet marketing site.

That said, what lessons can we all learn from Jan's experience?
Well, there are a few ...

1. KNOW WHEN YOUR DOMAIN NAMES EXPIRE AND RENEW
THEM BEFORE THEY LAPSE

First and foremost, know when your domain names expire and
take steps to renew them before they lapse. As Jan's experience
illustrates only too well, there are vultures out there just waiting
to swoop if you make even one false move. There are no second
chances in this business and, until the law catches up with the
reality of doing business online, it's every man and woman for
themselves.

2. SOME THINGS COST MORE THAN MONEY

The second point to note is that Jan allowed her registration to
lapse because she wanted to spend $10 rather than $35 (per year)
to renew the name. That decision cost her a whole lot more than
$25. Once your good name and reputation are cast into doubt, no
amount of money can get them back.

I know Network Solutions cop a lot of flak and possibly deservedly
so, if some of the stories I've heard are true. All I know is that my
domain names are registered and renewed with them and I haven't
had any problems (touch wood).

Bottom line, make sure your names are registered, stay registered
and that you use a reputable domain registrar.

The least expensive--and most common--type of jumbo TV is a rear-projection set. Some projection sets have three cathode-ray picture tubes (CRTs), smaller versions of the tubes used in conventional sets. The images from those small tubes are projected onto the back of a 42- to 70-plus-inch screen, hence the name rear-projection TV. Microdisplay sets use liquid-crystal display (LCD), digital light processing (DLP), or liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS) technology in place of CRTs. These TVs are slimmer, lighter, and more expensive than comparable CRT-based sets. More of them are appearing in stores, and their prices are starting to drop.

WHAT'S AVAILABLE

Major brands include Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Philips, RCA, Samsung, Sony, and Toshiba.

The smallest sets, measuring about 42 inches diagonally, offer only a few more inches of screen than a conventional 36-inch set. Rear-projection sets with 50- to 60-inch screens are the best sellers. The largest of these TVs have screens measuring 70 inches or more. Keep in mind that a set with a 57-inch screen could be overwhelming in a modest-sized room. CRT-based sets are floor-standing units about 24 to 30 inches deep that take up about 8 square feet of floor space. They weigh about 200 pounds and are mounted on wheels. Microdisplay models may require a stand. Most are about 15 to 20 inches deep and weigh about 100 pounds.

Most rear-projection sets now on the market are digital (HD-capable) sets, but there may still be a few analog models. Both types can accept regular TV signals, but HD-capable sets can best display the superior images you get from DVD players and from HD sources (antenna, satellite, digital cable, or digital-video players/recorders). HD-capable sets generally cost a few hundred dollars more than comparably sized analog models. Most have a wide-screen 16:9 aspect ratio that resembles a movie-theater screen.

Within the HD category, there are three types of TV sets.

HD-ready sets. Also called HDTV monitors, these sets can display standard-definition analog programs (which still account for most non-prime-time TV broadcasts) on their own. To display digital programs, they require a digital tuner to decode those broadcasts. If youre getting your HD programming from cable or satellite, your digital cable box or satellite receiver has the appropriate digital decoder built in. All you have to do is connect your HD-ready TV to the box and youre all set. Cable companies charge a small rental fee for digital or HD-capable boxes. To receive HD via satellite, you need an HD receiver and special dish antenna(e). Together, these cost about $300, but you may be able to get them from the satellite company at little or no charge as part of a promotion.

You can also get digital broadcasts, including HD, over the air, via an antenna. To do so, youll have to buy a digital tuner called an ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) tuner--the external box costs a few hundred dollars. However, theres no charge for service as there is with cable or satellite. Some satellite receivers also offer a built-in ATSC digital tuner. To receive digital programming via antenna, you must be fairly close to a transmitter, with an unobstructed view. With digital signals, youll either have a clear, strong signal or none at all.

Integrated HDTV sets. Also called HDTVs, these have the ATSC digital tuner built in, which enables them to decode any digital signals, including HD, with no additional equipment when used with a roof antenna. You may be able to receive the major networks HD offerings transmitted over the air in your area, but not the premium channels available on satellite and cable. To get HD via cable or satellite, integrated sets require an HD-capable cable box, CableCard, or satellite receiver--the built-in digital tuner only works for off-air digital broadcasts.

Starting in July of 2005, all new TVs with 36-inch or larger screens --a category covering virtually all projection TVs--were required to have a built-in digital tuner to comply with a government ruling.

Digital-Cable-Ready (DCR) sets. Some new integrated models, called digital-cable-ready (DCR) or plug-and-play sets, can receive digital-cable programming without using a set-top box. For HD and premium cable programming--and possibly for any digital programming--you must insert a CableCard into a slot on the set. You usually have to pay a few dollars a month to rent the card from the cable company. Current DCR TVs are not interactive, so even with a CableCard in the slot they cant provide features such as an interactive program guide, video on demand, or pay-per-view ordering via remote. Second-generation DCR TVs and CableCards should be here soon, and theyre expected to have two-way capability, allowing for interactive features. Integrated sets typically cost more than HD-ready sets, with digital-cable-ready models costing the most.

IMPORTANT FEATURES

Virtually all projection TVs have the features that are now standard on regular 27-inch and larger TVs, plus some features that arent so common--such as dual-tuner picture-in-picture (PIP) or a variant side-by-side picture mode.

Most TVs have several types of inputs that handle varying levels of quality. An antenna/cable, VHF/UHF or radio frequency (RF), input is the most basic connection, and it can be used with almost any video source. A composite-video input will give you slightly better picture quality and is often used with a VCR or regular cable box. An S-video input lets you take advantage of the still-better picture quality from a digital-cable box, a satellite-dish system, a DVD player, or a digital camcorder. A component-video input offers superior quality, making this a good choice for progressive-scan DVD players, high-definition satellite receivers, and HD digital-cable boxes that have the corresponding output. Most HDTVs have DVI or HDMI inputs, which provide a high-quality digital connection to devices such as DVD players, digital-cable boxes, and satellite receivers. DVI signals carry only video; HDMI signals carry audio and video on one cable. The digital-to-digital connection may ensure optimal picture quality. These connections allow the content providers to control your ability to record certain programming. Many sets have more than one of a given type of input. Having two or three S-video or component-video inputs is a plus. For a camcorder or video game, front-panel A/V inputs are helpful.

Audio outputs let you direct a TVs audio signal to a receiver or to self-powered speakers. Integrated digital TVs also include a Dolby Digital audio output for surround sound (available from some digital broadcasts). An automatic volume leveler compensates for the jarring volume jumps that often accompany commercials or changes in channel.

Auto convergence provides a one-touch adjustment to automatically align the three CRTs images to form an accurate picture. Its much more convenient than manual convergence, which can require time-consuming adjustments. Manual convergence does allow finer control, though. The best bet is a set that has both manual and automatic convergence. (Convergence is not necessary on LCD, DLP, or LCoS models.)

Stretch and zoom modes on wide-screen sets will expand or compress an image to better fill the screen shape. This helps to reduce the dark bands that can appear above, below, or on the sides of the image if you watch content thats not formatted for 16:9 screens. (The picture may be distorted or cut off a bit in the process of stretching and zooming.) Those bars make the picture slightly smaller. On CRT sets (but not LCD, LCoS, or DLP models), the bars can leave burn in ghosted images on the screen over time, as can any images left on the screen for long periods--say from a stock ticker.

If you watch many movies, look for a film mode feature on HD sets. This feature is also called 3:2 pulldown compensation or brand-specific names such as CineMotion. This can make moving images that were converted from film to video look less jerky, with less jaggedness around the edges.

HOW TO CHOOSE

Here are some points to consider in choosing a rear-projection TV:

Consider space before settling on screen size. Most rear-projection TVs have screens measuring 42 to 65 inches. You might be tempted by the biggest screens, which can span as much as 70 inches or more, but take a breath--and some measurements--first. Figure out how much floor space you can spare, and plan to view the TV from about 7 to 9 feet away for optimal picture quality.

Weigh depth and price in choosing a display type. Once you know how much room you have, decide whether size or price is more important. CRT-based sets are floor-standing models with deep cabinets mounted on casters. Some take up as much space as an armchair or loveseat. Most microdisplays are tabletop units. You buy a stand separately for a few hundred dollars or more. Would you prefer to save money with a bulkier CRT set or spend more for a slimmer microdisplay?

Consider reliability. CRT technology has been used in rear-projection TVs for years and has generally been quite reliable. Note, though, that any pattern left on a CRT screen for long periods--such as a stock ticker or video game--can burn into the tubes of a CRT-based model, producing a permanent ghosted image on the screen. Most warranties dont cover burn-in. This problem doesnt affect other types of rear-projection TVs. Microdisplay technologies are newer and havent established a track record for long-term reliability, but theyre not vulnerable to screen burn-in. They may require lamp replacement, however, which can cost a few hundred dollars. Factor these considerations into your decision.

Focus on picture quality. Its a little harder to find top picture quality in rear-projection TVs than in plasma TVs, so youll have to be choosy. The best sets can deliver very good picture quality with HD content and good picture quality for DVDs and regular TV programming. Microdisplays are likely to provide better picture quality than CRT-based models. Within the microdisplay category, we havent found that any one projection technology was consistently better than another.

Check the viewing angle. Some new models display a better image from off-center than older sets did--a must if a TV will be watched by several people at once. Some sets have wider viewing angles than others. Before buying one, see how the picture looks if you step off to the side or move up and down. With some, youll see a dimmer, somewhat washed-out image as your viewing position angles away, particularly in a vertical direction.

Expect fine sound quality. Many people connect big-screen TVs to an audio system to provide surround sound, so the quality of the TVs speakers may not be an issue. It may reassure you to know that virtually all the sets weve tested recently produced excellent sound. Thats largely because projection sets have bigger speakers than direct-view TVs and bigger cabinets with superior acoustical properties.

Consider installation. Because rear-projection sets are floor-standing units, installation is easier than with front-projection systems or wall-mounted plasma TVs. Still, rear-projection sets are larger and may be somewhat harder to set up than regular TVs, so consider having a professional install your TV.

Weigh the merits of an extended warranty. While extended warranties arent worthwhile for most products, they may be for high-priced devices using new technologies. Because microdisplay TVs are costly items that havent yet established a track record for reliability, check into the cost of a service plan. Find out whether in-home service is covered and whether a replacement is provided if a set cant be repaired.

The other day a friend of mine told me I just HAD to watch the movie "Click" starring Adam Sandler. Seeing that I was, as he put it, "into all that personal development stuff" he said he thought I would like it. The show is actually quite good, and has a great moral to it (although let me be quick to point out that it's delivered with plenty of Sandler's usual vulgar bathroom humor...so don't say I didn't warn you). Long story short - it's a modern-day "It's a Wonderful Life" where the main character realizes that his career is not worth the price of his family...good feel-good kind of stuff.

However, this was not the part of the movie that stuck most in my mind.

His strange new friend named "Morty" (Christopher Walken - the one who gives him the magic remote control that can "fast forward" to the future), makes a simple, yet powerful observation about his eating habits...

He says, "Michael, THAT FOOD (speaking of the junk food) is contributing to your DEATH, not your LIFE".

What's especially poignant about this statement is that later in the movie, it's revealed that Michael's new friend "Morty" is a really an Angel...

...He's the Angel of DEATH.

Don't worry, this is not just another lecture on junk food. It goes deeper that that, I hope. The reason that this statement from Morty, the Angel of Death, hit me (other than the fact that I was eating popcorn and drinking a soda when I heard it...yes, I do have "free days to enjoy my favorites") was that I realized there is NO neutral middle ground or "coasting". Every small thing that we do either takes us closer to the life that we really want - or closer to destruction.

The fact is - all food that you take into your mouth has either a positive effect or a damaging effect. Fruits, vegetables, and other healthy foods help the body, while junk food destroys it - slowly.

However, the reason so many people fall victim to "it's just one twinkie" is that it takes so long to notice, that most of us think that nothing bad is happening. Since we can't see the plaque lining up in our arteries, or since we don't feel bad, we figure we've got "good genes" (or some other lie that we tell ourselves) and we're somehow going to cheat the truth. But that's not how it works. By the time we realize what we've done, it's often too late. We can end up 50 lbs overweight with a heart condition, cancer, diabetes, etc.

And on a side note...this way of thinking can also work against us in ALL other key parts of our lives, if we let it happen:

- Like when we hang around "toxic" negative people. Little by little, we take on their attitudes and before we know it... we're one of them.

- When we yell our kids for the 10,000th time, and withhold our praise for the good things they do. Slowly but surely, the walls go up and our behavior helps to turn them into the "nightmare" teenagers that we feared...yet created.

- When we simply TALK about achieving higher financial success, but never get around to DOING anything about it.

We spend our lives working to make someone else's dreams happen, only to end up bitter and resentful and on a fixed retirement income.

The GOOD NEWS is that you can chose to change your behavior and attitude about food and exercise (and all parts of your life if you chose) which will lead to inevitable success.

How? By consciously making the small, seemingly insignificant right decisions day-in-and-day-out. This is what the successful minority DO and unsuccessful majority WON'T DO.

The truth is, there is enough "how-to" weight loss "gurus" and "plans" in the world RIGHT NOW for anyone to become incredibly confused. People don't need more "How-To" weight loss programs. They need more "DO" solutions. Think about this for a moment...66.3% of Americans are overweight and that's estimated to shoot up to 75% in 2015 if we don't change our ways. Look, it's EASY to do the things day in-day out that it takes be successful at weight loss. Problem is....it's also EASY not to do them. Which do you choose?

So what's it going to be? Put yourself in Adam Sandler's characters' shoes...are you going to continue to do the things that lead to your destruction? Or are you ready to make the necessary changes that will ensure you stick around, happy and healthy, for a very long time?

Choice is yours....

Look For Opportunities To Change

Looking around you, anywhere that you happen to be, it is quite possibly a safe assumption that you are able to easily spot something that is wasteful. If you happen to be at a restaurant or at a meeting or at the movie theater or at home, there are ways that time and money are being wasted and no one is doing anything about it. How often do you say to yourself, that was a waste of time, it would likely have been so much easier and more efficient if they just did?

If you happen to be at a restaurant or at a meeting or at the movie theater or at home, there are ways that time and money are being wasted and no one is doing anything about it. How often do you say to yourself, that was a waste of time, it would likely have been so much easier and more efficient if they just did?

It's simply the fact that nobody says anything and then no one does anything. At the office, there are plenty of possibilities and plenty of wastes that could easily be uncovered, but many times there isnt anybody to take the initiative. Somebody needs to take the initiative or someone needs to make it somebodys job to take the initiative. But there are always excuses to why no one wants to do the additional work that is involved.

The excuse usually has something to do with there not being enough time to make the changes. Well, if there is enough time to keep doing something wrong and inefficiently, then there's surely plenty of time to fix the problem. There can be the excuse that the problem is not as large a deal as it first appears, and so why bother putting any additional time into it. Once again, if there is anything that people are noticing, and even imply that it may perhaps be a problem, then it is worth looking into.

Sometimes there simply isnt a qualified person on the staff to look at the situation. Well, wouldnt that be an ideal time to get someone trained in making efficiency a main priority? It's easy to spot those issues that have been lurking around you and that the other staff members have been working around for all of this time. It's easier still to recognize the problems once you start asking questions.

Men and women are very quick and willing to tell you all about what makes their job harder than it should be. They are very eager to let you in on what they have been dealing with and what looks as if it should be changed. Of course, you could quite possibly figure that out yourself with a little bit of observation and note taking. The willingness has to be there in order for the changes to begin.
