Chakkiligintha Telugu Movie Review, chakkiligintha movie Review, Sumanth Ashwin Chakkiligintha review, chakkiligintha review, Chakkiligintha review and rating

Release date : Dec 05, 2014
AuthorRating : 2.25/5
Director : Vema Reddy
Producer : Narasimha Chari – Narasimha Reddy
Music Director : Mickey J Meyer

Story: -

Ado (Sumanth Ashwin) is a young man who does not believe in going after girls. He also encourages his friends not to woo and this attitude of his is hated by all the girls in his college.
One day, Avi (Rehana) joined the college and discovers that all the boys ignore completely all the girls. She decided to change this scenario and sets a trap for Adi. Is Adi fall into the trap? Is Avi change the thinking of Adi? This forms the rest of the story.

Plus Points: -

more important for this film are superb production values. The whole film seems quite rich and the university atmosphere was presented in a beautiful light. Sumanth Ashwin improves with each of his film. It looks beautiful and how he emotes throughout the film is also good. He had many opportunities to perform in this character and it does not disappoint at all.
Viva Thagubothu Ramesh and Harsha are pretty good in their roles. The first half hour of the film is very entertaining and lively. Songs from the film are also decent.

MinusPoints: -

After promising first 30 minutes, the film falls flat on his face. The pace becomes slow death and there is a lot of confusion in the way the characters have been processed. Heroin Rehana is yet another disadvantage to the film. When policy makers have an important role to heroin, they should go with someone well known. Although girls try hard, she looked quite convincing. The film takes forever to finish and goes on and on. The relationship between the pair of lead does not focus and lacks the clarity at all. The way the heroine behaves with the hero is quite confusing during the second half. Climax of the film seems stupid and does not justify the film at all.

Technical aspects:-

As said above, the film production values are very good. Camerawork is beautiful and highlights the atmosphere of the college in a new light. The music of Mickey J Meyer is also decent. Dialogues are decent and so are the lyrics. The whole scenario is for a draw too confused scenes to center stage. the direction of Vema Reddy is below par. The concept that he has chosen is new, but the execution is poor. It leaves far too many points imprecise and makes quite confusing to the public. How he justified the climax is also pretty bad.

Verdict:

Overall, Chakkiliginta is a film that goes haywire after a point. rich production values and Sumanth Ashwin performance is the only recovery in this film that leaves the audience in utter confusion. Ignore this movie this weekend.

HOW TO BE THE BEST SCREENPLAY WRITER IN INDIA

To be one of the best screenplay writers in India or anywhere else in the world the key is creating memorable characters. Characters who become flesh and blood people who stay with the audience long after the movie or season is over. Whom you care so deeply about that the slightest hurt or setback to them is something the viewers take personally and discuss, rant, angst about – good recent examples would be Jon Snow (GOT) and Eleven (Stranger Things).

So what makes a character so memorable that it can lead to one becoming a top script writer

Relatability/Identifiability – This invariably connects to human frailties or vulnerabilities that strike a common chord with anyone who is watching. Like Jon’s desperate need to belong, for a family, his feeling like an outsider – we’ve all gone through this in school, college, work, maybe even home. It immediately gets us to feel for him. This is essential if one aspires to be the best screenplay writer in India.

Evoking Awe or Admiration – While a character should never be perfect – perfection puts audiences off, makes them feel like this character is totally unbelievable, they should have some aspects that make them stand out – either they are able to do what we cannot do – say exactly what they feel – they are frank, take no shit from anyone – e.g. Basanti in Sholay, or they embody characteristics we would like to have – we would like to be as carefree and bindaas as Geet (Jab we Met) or as suave, sophisticated and unflappable as Raymond Reddington (The Blacklist).

Positive Traits – At times it’s not about the characters doing things or being what we cannot. It could be the same traits that we have but pushed to a higher degree. Like the determination and dedication shown by Andrew in Whiplash or the courage shown by Kay Graham in The Post. We have the same, only these characters take it to different level and that becomes a point for inspiration for us.

Dreams and Ambitions – This is always easy to connect with – now the key thing to remember that it isn’t about the specific ambition, like we may not want to be a ball player or an Underworld don. But we all want to be rich, famous, successful, we want to be loved. Any ambition or goal is ultimately a manifestation of that – and if the core emotions are brought out – an audience will always relate and connect to the characters’ dreams and ambitions.

Humour – Just like a touch of salt/pepper/chilli in food, humour is the spice that always enlivens and makes a character so much more likable. This works even in the case of a villain one loves to hate – Gabbar, Mogambo or an otherwise serious character having a moment of levity or being out in a funny situation – case in point from Jab We Met being the angsty, serious Aditya having to deal with Geet’s strange exchange with the seedy lodge owner.

All of these are just guidelines, good tricks to becoming one of the best storytellers in India. But ultimately a great screenplay and awesome characters have to come from one’s own heart and life experiences. The key – if the creator loves the characters, the audience probably will too. If we as creators can’t stand them, no way is the audience going to like them.

All Roads Lead To Mazda MPV!

Are you interested in learning about the Mazda MPV? If so, then we would like to take you by the hand and tell you about an outstanding vehicle. 1989 was quite the year! In Egypt a 4400 year old mummy was found, the movie Batman released and at 01:23:45 AM the time and date by US reckoning was 01:23:45 6-7-1989! It was also the year that the Mazda MPV arrived in America. While it was not the first player in the modern mini van medley, Mazda rocked when Chrysler only rolled! The first real, for every road, in all kinds of weather all-wheel drive had arrived. We must say that this vehicle got a big applause when it first came out on the market. Critiques and customers both stared at it...

It seems that there are many fine things in this world. Today, we absolutely adore the Mazda MPV, which has made its way into many people's lives. In 1989 Mazda presented its US customers with a new breed of minivan. In a market dominated by Chrysler the Mazda MPV nudged its way in by introducing the first ever rough-weather, rough road compatible multi purpose vehicle.

It scored well on aesthetic standards; it offered a more compact design with traditionally hinged doors. Powered by a four-cylinder or optional V6 engine with standard rear wheel drive.

Unfortunately the innovative spirit that propelled it to fame lacked stamina after a couple of years, it was outclassed in terms of versatility, maneuverability and technology by aggressive competition.

First in class multi configurable seating designs and roll down windows in sliding doors were bold innovations reminiscent of its early spirit. Flexibility, maneuverability matched with design defined this drive. The versatility of its seating system was a signature feature.

The second row seats came with a moving mechanism, enabling it to transform into bench style seating. In addition the third line of rear seats could be turned down into the floor and even turned around toward the tail end of the minivan for those occasions when the back door was open. While luggage space is limited, the vehicle proves to be a good choice for large families juggling busy schedules.

The versatility of its seating was a signature feature. The second row seats armed with a sliding feature meant that they could lock in together for convenient bench seating. The third row seats could fold down into the floor, it could also be flipped around to face the back of the vehicle when the rear door was open.

While the improvements were many and significant with features like keyless entry, convenient slide open doors, CD entertainment systems, cruise control, individually heated mirrors and passenger seat air conditioning this new installment of the MPV continued to disappoint the key performance area of engine power. In the years that followed numerous steps were taken to improve the power of the vehicle however this remained an area in which competition was stronger. The power upgrades in 2002 included a 3. 0liter 200HP V6 and automatic five-speed transmission, 17inch alloys, upgraded break systems, improved suspension tuning and power side-slide door mechanisms. Then again in 2003 a family entertainment theater system by way of a DVD player was introduced as an optional feature. The Mazda MPV had found its niche; versatile space management, entertainment and space efficient design features keeps it relevant to the family market.

Pride and Prejudice BBC Movie; Movies to Stitch By

I am intrigued by movies that showwomen performing the art of stitching in them. There are quite a few of the great classics that show this, and Pride and Prejudice isjust one of my all time favorites.

There are a lot of good movies to stitch by out there, for example, Pride and Prejudice BBC movie version. I find, especially, a lot of great classics that show women stitching in them. While some show just brief excerpts of women stitching, other movies contain entire themes that seem to revolve around stitching and play an important role in the movie like The Heiress starring Olivia de Havilland. In this film, the art of stitching plays a major role in the movie, and The Heiress happens to be one of my favorites. In fact, at the beginning of the movie, an even-weave fabric is used as a back drop showing the title of the movie and the entire cast of characters.

Pride and Prejudice (Pride and Prejudice, the BBC Movie) is not only one of my all time favorite movies, but it also shows young ladies stitching in the parlor as they await the arrival of prospective suitors. Since there are many versions of Pride and Prejudice, the version I have enjoyed the most is from The Romance Collection Special Edition. It is, by far, the most accurate depiction of the book written by Jane Austen in my opinion. Whenever possible, I try to examine the stitching scenes very carefully to pick up subtle nuances about the stitching environment in the movie.

With a southern air, North and South starring Patrick Swayze shows women left and right in their voluminous antebellum skirts stitching away while the men have "more important matters to attend to." Needlearts back then was a way of life and an all-time classic hobby. In fact, it was considered a major part of formal education for young girls and women alike; and the alphabet was often stitched into what we now call a sampler.

Movies like Wuthering Heights and Driving Miss Daisy all have scenes in them which depict women embroidering, cross stitching and performing some type of needlework.

In Coal Miner's Daughter, there is a short scene showing Patsy Cline performing cross stitch as she is with her friend Loretta Lynn who has just announced she is going to have another baby.

I don't know about you, but from one fellow stitcher to another, I get a personal thrill in my heart whenever I see characters in movies stitching. It makes me feel connected to that person; and there is the thrill I get when I see someone enjoying a wholesome craft that I and so many others enjoy. Also, the movies are great movies to stitch by. For we are ladies of standing as we are all part of the great class of stitchers, including those of us who enjoy all types of needlework, whether it be embroidery, cross stitch, needlepoint, punch needle, etc.

Mario and Luigi are one of the best games ever invented back in the eighties and its still a great game to this day. It use to be that you can only find these two adventurous brothers on Nintendo systems, but today you can find Mario and Luigi online games all over the internet. Its great that you can play the same game that first developed back in the eighties. Dont get me wrong the new games are fun, but nothing compares to the first game.

I use to play Mario and Luigi all of the time with my brother when we were younger. And about six months ago I was searching for a game online and came across Mario and Luigi online. I felt like a little kid again, and my three kids and me played this game for hours. They were so excited to find a game that I had when I was little. It was exactly the same as the traditional video games. I truly felt like I was a kid again myself, which is always a great feeling.

Mario and Luigi online games are great to play on the computer. The graphics are much better then they were but its still the same game that it always was. The reason is that they recreated it and the graphic cards that computers have now only make every little detail much more visible.

Online games have nearly every game that you can possibly imagine. Besides just Mario and Luigi. You can find Tetris, which is another one of my personal favorites. Some of the other games that you can expect to find will be Pac Man, and Streetfighter, and hundreds of others to choose from. There are literally hours of fun that you will have playing the games. You can even find some of the classic arcade games that you played in the arcade when you were a child as well.

If you want to find Mario and Luigi online games then all you have to do is perform a quick search on one of the major search engines such as google or yahoo, and you will have no problem finding a ton of different websites that have it. It really is that simple. And you will soon be having the time of your life especially if you were playing this game when you were a kid back in the eighties.

Why Most Goal Setting Programs Are Doomed to Failure

Have you ever read a book or seen a movie that featured the medieval ... where the offender had each of their arms and legs roped to a horse and then the horses were whipped to a frenzy, pullin

Have you ever read a book or seen a movie that featured the medieval punishment where the offender had each of their arms and legs roped to a horse and then the horses were whipped to a frenzy, pulling in opposite directions until the offender was
ripped into pieces?

Not nice.

But that's pretty much what we do to ourselves when we use a traditional goal setting program.

Of course the results aren't quite as bloody but they are as grisly: failure, stress, let down, headaches, insomnia, etc.

Instead of four horses pulling frantically in four different directions, we usually have four major parts of our brains doing the same thing.

Those four parts are:

- the left brain
- the right brain
- the midbrain
- the brainstem.

And each of these parts controls a major aspect of us.

The left brain is responsible for our conscious awareness and our thoughts.

The right brain is responsible for our creativity, all sorts of rhythmic behavior, putting together memory into useable chunks, etc. And it does what it's always done in a particular situation.

The midbrain is responsible for our emotional energy - the energy that powers us in getting things done and in creating memories. And it does what it's always done in a particular situation.

The brainstem is responsible for physical stimulus-response, for jerking our hand away from a hot stove, for hitting the tennis ball, for jerking our car away from an intruding other driver. And it does what it's always done in a particular situation.

When these four parts aren't in agreement on an objective and how to achieve it, failure is almost certain.

And that's the case with traditional goal setting systems because they deal with only one of those parts, the conscious mind.

It's something like asking someone who speaks only English, another only French, another only Japanese and another only Russian to perform a job that requires a high level of coordination among the four of them to be successful.

The result is chaos, something like the old silent movies.

Or like a football team where each player is running a different play.

Well, that's the case with traditional goal setting systems because only the left brain understands words. The right brain understands visualization and pattern, the midbrain understands real or imagined emotions and the brainstem understands real or imagined physical behavior.

That's why failure is so common.

But there is an alternative.

It's this: translate your objective into the different languages each part of the brain can understand.

Once you have translated your written objective and modified it so that all four parts of the brain are in agreement, then you have made major progress toward successfully achieving your goal.

The second step you need to take to successfully achieve an objective revolves around the fact that essentially no one can maintain a conscious focus on anything for more than 5 seconds.

Yet most traditional goal setting systems tell you to keep focused on what you want to achieve. That can't happen. Conscious long-term focus is an impossibility.

But when the unconscious mind is focused on something - such as keeping your heart beating and blood pumping, your body weight reasonably constant or breathing - that something happens. Otherwise, we'd all be dead.

Well, that kind of unconscious focus is required to consistently achieve challenging objectives, too.

The third step to successfully achieve your objective is to level out the unconscious road blocks that, otherwise, make accomplishing things impossible. Since these roadblocks operate
without our conscious awareness -- like asthma, headaches, and maintaining a constant body weight when you consciously want to lose weight -- no level of conscious will power can overcome them.

But when properly instructed by the conscious mind, the unconscious will instantly change its programming from opposing a result that you want to support its achievement.

If you accomplish all three of these steps - translation, focus, and removal of road blocks - then you have almost a 100 percent chance of consistently achieving your seemingly impossible objectives.

Jilla Movie Review and Rating, story, public talk, collections

Release date : July 24, 2015

Author Rating : 2.75/5

Director : R. T. Neason

Producer : Tamatam Kumar Reddy

Music Director : D. Imman

Starring : Vijay, Kajal Aggarwal, Mohanlal

Jilla, the 2014 Tamil hit is dubbed into Telugu with the same title. Starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles, this movie has hit the screens today. Let’s see how it is.

Story: -

Divya (Mohan Lal) is a ruthless local goon in Vijayawada. It adopts Shakti (Vijay), son of his right hand who dies at a local fight. Sivayya decides to Shakti police officer to continue his criminal activities.Shakti takes the role against the heart of a police officer. During his tenure, Shakti regret his misdeeds and decides to follow the path of honesty. It also calls Sivayya to change but everything is in vain that the differences between the two.
How the story unfold from here? Will both Sivayya and Shakti together again? Which forms the rest of the story.

Pluspoints: -

The main attraction of the film is the relationship between the father and his adopted son. The director portrays the emotions very well and especially the scenes before the break are executed well. In addition, a couple of twists in the second half elevate the film to an appropriate degree.Mohan Lal did a superb job and supported the movie with a great performance. His gaze and screen presence provides an added advantage to the proceedings. Vijay also did full justice to his character and his top notch acting in mass scenes will be a treat for the audience. The last half hour before the interval is the main highlight of the film. The unexpected twists before the climax and the role of Vijay as a police officer will thoroughly entertain the audience.

negative points: -

Although this film was a smash hit in Tamil, it lacks some elements of wooing the Telugu audience. After the first half hour, the tempo slows down in history completely until the block pre-interval. The scenes between Vijay Mohan Lal and in the second half needed a much better performance. In addition, the scenes between Vijay and Kajal are not convincing and character Kajal need much space. The comedy track between Brahmanandam and other Telugu actors was not executed perfectly and is a total less for the film. The abrupt ending is also a big disadvantage for the film.

Technical aspects :-

Director NT Neason done a decent job with his performance. Music given by D.Iman impresses the audience to some extent, but his background score is good enough.
Image Rajavelu Ganesh is good that captured the mood of the scenes in a beautiful way. Telugu dialogues written by Shashank Vennelakanti are decent. Editing is also OK.

Verdict: -

The crazy combination of Vijay and Mohan Lal, has done wonders in Tamil. But the same magic could not be repeated in the Telugu release. The acting presented by the two superstars is very impressive. But the comedy routine, unconvincing romantic track, and below par songs are a big drawback for the film. Overall, Jilla's just another regular commercial animator who impress the mass audience.

Getting out of the Zone!

Weve probably all heard the famous movie quip, why dont you wait here while I slip into something a little more comfortable. Its a comment to make most of our ears (particularly male ones!) stand up on end with the anticipation that the film has actually taken a turn for the better. In real life however, slipping into something more comfortable can often lead to outcomes that are anything other than desirable.

To create a compelling life, often what we need to do is slip out of comfort and into something a little more challenging, a little more exciting and a lot more rewarding!

What is the Comfort Zone?

The Comfort Zone is a situation where a particular level of non strenuous effort produces a fairly certain and familiar result, albeit in most cases, a pretty average one.

As our species evolves, we seem to be preoccupied with living in the comfort zone. I mean who can imagine the extreme torture one might experience from getting up off the couch to change channels or to walk down the street to pick up a pizza! The sad thing is that this state of lethargy seeps into the way we live the rest of our lives.

The attraction of the comfort zone can be quite compelling because of the common human fear of the unknown. Lets face it, when it really comes down to it, most of us dont really like surprises. A probable average result is often much preferable to the possibility of an outstanding but uncertain one.

What most people dont realise is that getting out of the Comfort Zone gives you the opportunity to slip into the arena of the Pleasure Zone.

Why arent more people successful?

I heard a very successful entrepreneur and motivational speaker asked the question Why arent more people successful? He responded by saying that its because it takes real skill to die of starvation in countries such as the UK, US and Australia.

I actually found this statement to be quite profound. I mean how many people do you encounter on a daily basis that consistently give much less than what they are capable of but are still able to hold down their jobs, put food on the table and make their mortgage repayments? Could you see this as a possibility in less fortunate, less developed nations?

One shot.

Until someone manages to convince me otherwise, I can only assume that we get one shot at life (the Universe is a fascinating place so I am open to suggestions on that one!). Time is running out for all of us. We have one shot and one shot only to experience the magic and beauty of all this life has to offer.

What would you do?

What would you do if you had a day to live? How about a week? What about a month, a year, a decade? We are all going to die someday. Why not be that somebody who can look back over your years and smile as you say to yourself you know something, I gave it everything.

4 Steps to a Less Comfortable but More Compelling Future.

1. Think deeply about what your special gifts are and what you love doing most.
2. Think about how you could structure your life to spend more time developing, cultivating and sharing your gifts.
3. Experiment putting aside your comfort seeking behavioural patterns.
4. Get out there and be the best you can be.

TheWrestler (2008): Review

It was recently announced that a new servicefrom one of the UKs largest mobile phone networks would offer an itunes film download every week. As I happen to be on that particularnetwork, I decided to take advantage especially as the first film to be madeavailable was Darren Aronofskys 2008 drama The Wrestler.

So, having signed up to the service which isknown as Orange Thursdays, in keeping with the branding of its Wednesday night2-4-1 cinema tickets deal I settled down in front of my computer (as Ive notyet upgraded to one of the groups iPhone 4 deals) for a first time viewing of the film many called Mickey Rourkescareer defining performance. I have to say, I was not disappointed.

Despite the praise Rourke received for TheWrestler in the role of Randy The Ram Robinson, an aging wrestler coming toterms with the mistakes in his life, he wasnt lucky enough to pick up theAcademy Award for Best Actor. Instead, his co-nominee and friend Sean Penn tookhome the statue for his portrayal of gay rights activist Harvey Milk. In theother category the film was nominated, Best Supporting Actress for Randysdamaged love interest Cassidy, Marisa Tomei would be beaten by Penelope Cruzsfiery performance in Woody Allens Vicky Christina Barcelona.

While the aforementioned winners were worthy,it was a bit of a shame Tomei and, more importantly, Rourke, were overlooked as the The Wrestler is nothing if not a study in acting. In addition, the factthat the lead will probably never get to play a character so intrinsicallylinked to his own would have made an Oscar just that little bit more fitting.Of course, Rourke has struggled with his own demons in the past - and we see alot of this pain in Randy throughout the movie.

But thats not even where the enjoyment endswith The Wrestler. The main focus of the flick is the terribly strained relationshipbetween the lead and his daughter (played by Evan Rachel Wood). Every scenethese two people share is heart-wrenching and is spliced between sequenceswhere we are forced to watch Randys aging body receive blows that no man ofhis age could cope with.

The Wrestler isnt always an easy watch, butthanks to some incredible direction from Aronofsky and a whole selection ofgreat performances, its an absolute must see thats worthy of every award andpositive review it has received.

Do you know that you can downloadan iTunes film from Orange once a week

Sivagami Movie Review and Rating

Release date : August 05, 2016

Rating : 1.75/5

Director : Sumanth

Producer : Tummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana

Music Director : Tyagaraj – Guru Kiran

Starring : Manish Arya, Priyanka Rao, Baby Suhasini

Continuing with the trend of dubbing films, yet another project which has come out this week is Sivagami. Let’s now see how this dubbed version of the Kannada hit Nani turns out to be.

Story:-

The movie is based on a couple played by Manish Arya and Priyanka Rao, who occupy their ancestral bungalow in Vizag. Things look good at the beginning but as time passes by, an evil spirit present in the bungalow enters Priyanka’s body and starts creating havoc for the entire family.

Who is this evil spirit ? Why did it target the couple ? How will the couple survive this chaos ? That forms the rest of the story.

Plus Points:-

The entire flashback episode that comes during the second half is pretty good. Based on some true events during the 90’s, the way things have been recreated during this flashback looks good.

Problems faced by the couple and their emotional outburst in some scenes have been executed well. Some scenes featuring the evil spirit that have been executed through VFX work looks good during the first half.

Minus Points:-

The horror elements showcased in the film are pretty ordinary. The director uses too much time to unveil them and when the actual time comes for them to scare the audience, things fall apart.

Sivagami lacks novelty. Everything is routine and has been showcased many times in the past. As the second half is completely based on the evil spirit, some thrilling elements and scenes should have been added to make things interesting.

Once the suspense is revealed during the end, the climax becomes routine like any other horror film and bores the audience completely.

Technical Aspects:-

Screenplay of the film is the biggest drawback. As the concept and narration is quite tested and outdated, things look ordinary and you exactly know what is going to happen next. Production values are decent. Editing is bad as songs create a huge disturbance to the flow of the film. Coming to the director Sharath, he has done a very poor job with his direction. He does not include any interesting horror elements and makes the film quite predictable till the end.

Verdict:-

Sivagami is yet another routine and outdated horror drama which does not thrill you at all. The film does not have the racy screenplay or scary elements which is expected of a horror film. Except for the interesting flashback, this film has nothing much to watch out for and can be watched when it comes on TV.

The Other Guys is the new cops and robbers parody from thevery successful team of director Adam McKay and actor Will Ferrell. This movieis laugh out loud funny and should not be missed..

Will Ferrell and Adam McKay have previously worked togetheron 3 films, the very funny and successful Anchorman and Talladega Nights andthe not so funny and disappointing Step Brothers. Thankfully The Other Guys shows that this teamis back in fine form.

In many movies about cops you typically have a set ofpartners that are so good, so daring and so heroic that they are dubbed SuperCops by their colleagues and the general public. The Other Guys are NOTthose cops.

The Other Guys are Forensic Accountant Alan Gamble (asuperb Will Ferrell) who enjoys being a paper-filing desk jockey, and his frustratedhard-ass partner Detective Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg) who dreams of being acrime-fighting super cop. In Hoitzs mind, he would already be one of thosesuper cops if one he wasnt anchored to his excitement-avoiding partner andtwo . he wasnt consistently being harassed, heckled and ridiculed foraccidently shooting Derek Jeter.

Hoitz sees his chance when the NYPDs hot-shot super copdetectives P.K. Highsmith (Samuel L. Jackson)and Christopher Danson (Dwayne Johnson) are forced out of action in a trulyhilarious scene. Suddenly there is a spot open for a pair of action heroes andHoitz doesnt want to miss his opportunity. Looking to dump his boringassignment he finds a much better one in Gambles files in the form of a Ponzischeme involving international terrorists. He pressures Gamble to get out frombehind his desk and the two of them begin their quest for celebrity cop fame.Unfortunately (fortunately for the audience!) this results in massiveunintended property damage, accidental destruction of evidence, trampling ofcitizens rights and multiple dressing-downs by their captain (a much missedMichael Keaton).

As an actor Ferrell is a master at stating the obvious andmaking it sound funny. The films teasers include a scene where Gamble andHoitz are knocked down into the street by a nearby buildings explosion. Gambleimmediately starts yelling about how on TV that never seems to hurt and neverseems that loud. On paper that is not funny, but Ferrells delivery andexpressions make it work. It is the ingredient that was missing in StepBrothers.

McKay has done a great job in lampooning stereotypical charactersfound in cops and robber movies. Samuel L. Jacksons and Dwayne Johnsonssuper-cops are so over-the-top and delusional in their crime-fighting abilitiesthat the audience is laughing from the very beginning. The director shouldconsider doing another movie on just these two characters.

The chemistry between Ferrell and Wahlberg is good but notgreat. But the jokes are so good and come so fast that this doesnt sink themovie. If anything the jokes are TOO good in that you really notice when you getto a stretch in the movie where the jokes are only so-so.

Overall this movie is a winner and another high point in the collaboration between actorWill Ferrell and director Adam McKay.

Takers Full Online Movie Review

Takers wants to be a cool, hip armored car heist movie butends up just a collection of overusedclichs and bad acting. Thats the real crime here as a potentially good storywas wasted. Watch Takers online and judge for yourself.

Director John Luessenhop should have spent morepre-production time watching the best cops and robbers movie of all time HEAT. That epic heist movie starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro knew how tobuild and carry suspense. Luessenhop could also have learned how to shootaction sequences.

Takers is about a gang of chic bank robbers out for one lastscore, and the tireless, obsessed detective determined to do anything to stopthem.

Showing that all robbers dont look like vagrants, livehand-to-mouth or spend their last dollar on cheap booze, the thieves in Takersall look as though they belong to a pretty-boy club, wear well tailored andexpensive suits, drink the most expensive alcohol, drive the most exotic carsand have the best looking girlfriends. Oh yeah, and to show they have a heart, they always donate a portion of their ill gotten gains to charity.

This Los Angelesgang is made up of leader and mastermind Gordon, played fantastically by IdirisElba. Gordon is by far the best developed character on the bad guy side. We seehim interact tenderly with his sister who is currently in rehab, and as aresult of these scenes the audience can actually care something about whathappens to him. Michael Ealy and Chris Brown play gang members and brothersJake and Jesse. They apparently have some type of complicated relationship, butthe film never explores it. Paul Walker is the 4th member and Gordons secondin command, but really does nothing but hang around looking good. The fifthmember is Darth Vader himself, Hayden Christensen, who acts as the crews mainstrategist. Christensen is a better actor than a lot of people give him creditfor, but this is not the role that proves it. It seems that his main objectiveis to make sure he is never without his porkpie hat.

The movie starts when a former crew member Ghost, played by TipT.I. Harris, suddenly reappears after a lengthy prison sentence. During histime incarcerated he hatched a plan to pull off a daring armored car heist, andthe window of opportunity is quickly closing. He returned to recruit his oldpals into one last job, one that would pull in $25 million dollars.

Gordon is immediately against doing this job. The crewnormally does only one job a year, and it is always meticulously planned downto the minute. The gang prides themselves on stop-watch timing and nevergetting anyone hurt. This job would have to be attempted before they had timeto carefully plan out every possibility. But T.I. is persistent and points outthat he did his jail time alone, without ratting out any other gang member sothey owe him. Gordon acquiesces and agrees to go forward with the heist.

Meanwhile, detective Jack Welles, played by Matt Dillon, isthe stereotypical obsessive cop with the busted family life who lives for hisjob. A border-line rouge lawman, he is forever holding off Internal Affairswhile he pieces together far-flung pieces of evidence to solve a crime. When he catches wind of the heist, he and hispartner (Jay Hernandez) start bending and breaking rules to try and stop thisgang of thieves.

Matt Dillon is a superb actor with a very large andimpressive body of work. So why a director would anchor him with some of theworst dialog of recent years is astounding. To Dillons credit, he almost pullsit off. But even his talent cant completely wipe away bad writing.

So basically we have a story of good-looking gentlemenbandits with hearts of gold out to do one last job while an aging, lonely, obsessive rogue cop tries to stop them. Yes, weve heard it all before.

Unfortunately a clich script is only the beginning of thismovies problems. Aside from the bad acting and terrible dialog is the amateurishcamerawork. Much of this movie is chase scenes, robberies and fighting, butthey are filmed with a shaky, hand-held camera. The director and cameramen wereobviously not skilled enough to pull this off because there are many sceneswhere the audience cant tell what is going on. The camera moves too much tosee the action. There are some scenes where you cant even be sure who theactors are in the shot.

Overall Takers is a disappointment.
