Story: -

The story is based on the lives of three friends, Chaitanya (Ajmal) Sandhya (Aarushi) and Pranita (Panchi Bora). All three are close friends and are preparing for their future jobs.
Among them, Chaitanya is the only one that has no clarity about life, and does not expect this field to choose. One day, one of their classmates failed in IIM entrance, and suicide.
This incident turns their lives upside down, and all the friends become more sincere in life. While all this is happening, Chaitanya decided to enter politics in the name of his dads party, and becomes the leader of the youth.Once he joins his party, his life changes completely, as he is disturbed by the way the policy is being implemented in the state. He decides to take matters in hand and plans to raise public awareness about the right to vote, and how to choose a suitable government.Rest of the story is how he manages to fight through it and come out victorious.

Plus Points: -

major plus point of this film is its lead actors. Senior actors like Kota, Nasser Chalapathi Rao and Naga Babu has done extremely well in the film.Ajmal suits his character well, and the director used his physiche and body language precisely in this film. Arushi impresses in the role of hero friend.supporting character like Chandu and Panchi Bora did their part. story line of the film is quite good.

MinusPoints: -

As mentioned above, other than the line of star cast and the lead story, the film still has huge drawbacks. Even after selecting a decent story line, the director has failed to perform completely.This story had potential heavy dialogues, and many scenes that could have been higher. But the director has failed to capitalize on that and just concentrate on the business aspects of the film.The character of Nasser lack of clarity and of his speeches in the film not deep. Ajmal the character in the second half gets a bit too low and does not have a powerful dialogues or scenes.The whole film was dragged to the core. The great scenes of the film show how political parties campaign and promote their parties these days.Ajmal how the party works, and won the election and all the scenes of voter education are presented without any clarity.Logic disappears in the second half and the script has a lot of loop holes.

Technical aspects:-

the camera work in the film is a big plus. The film has a good idea, and was shot beautifully. background score of R P Patnaik is yet another great addition to the film. Although the scenes in the second half are lack luster, the music of R P raises them to a decent standard.
Dialogues are out of the box, and have absolutely no connection with the history and the editing is bad enough. As said before, the story line is quite decent, but the way it was run by the director is poor.

Verdict:-

In Prabhanjanam set is a misfit even in hot and happening times of elections. A good story line, was wasted by poor execution and unnecessary commercial elements. Even if you are interesting in political thrillers, you can skip this movie this weekend.

Undoubtedly, Kamal Haasan is the biggest advantage for this film. His performance as a dying superstar is huge and will keep you emotionally. There are some scenes for the climax that will bring a lump in the throat. How Kamal portrayed his controversial life and presents his comic timing as an artist of Theyyam is pretty good.legendary director K Balachander is perfect in his role and brings a lot of depth to the film. Aravind (Nani) is an honest young man who opposes injustice and corruption. It goes to any extent to do good for society and the land of corrupt people behind bars often. One day, he decided to meet the corruption in government offices and collect key evidence against a minister and some other officers.He also filed a case and manages to reveal corruption. Upset by this, the Minister decides against evil-attack and introduced him look like Aravind named Maya Kannan. Rest of the story is how Aravind manages to cope with all its problems and send the corrupt behind bars.

Plus Points: -

The character of Nani Maya Kannan in the second half is the main highlight of the film. You will see a new dimension to the game of Nani as he will surprise you with its power packed performance. body language, delivery of the dialogue and how it portrays the negative nuances are too good. For the first time in his career, Nani has a dual role and excels in both.
idea of the story is quite new and the manager so Samutrakani reported the social message is also good. The last 20 minutes before the interval are engaging and were executed very well. Amala Paul is wonderful as the next girl. Ragini Dwivedi supports able to the character of Maya Kannan.Sarath Kumar is perfect in its appearance and is Shiva Balaji as a television journalist. Vennela Kishore manages to make a few laughs in the first half. The episode of the court during the climax was well developed.

Negative points: -

major drawback of the film are the first 20 minutes. Story of the film is dragged insignificant as the procedure takes time to unfold. The love track between Nani and Amala Paul is below par and becomes an obstacle on the road during the first half. As the film is oriented messages, entertainment levels are a little low. Even if there are only two songs they have also been cut.After setting the range block with enough verve, the film slows slightly. As the twist in the tale is revealed during the interval, scenes for the post interval become predictable. Film length is too long as many stages during the second half could have been cut.

Camerawork in the film is top notch all the visuals were presented beautifully. background score G V Prakash student film to another level. As said before, many unnecessary scenes could be easily modified. Action episodes might have also been designed better.
Coming to the Director Samudrakani he did a decent job with the story, but added unnecessary marketing elements that stops the flow of the film freely. Sashankh Vennalakanti dialogues are pretty decent.

Verdict: -

Overall, Janda Pai Kapiraju is a film that Nani will be extremely proud. It impresses us in two different roles and gives a commendable performance. interesting social message, interval shot are essential assets. If you can sit through the long episodes and unnecessary trade, you might end up liking this powerful film.

Shobha (Bellamkonda Srinivas) is a happy go lucky man is going to thirty-six lengths for his friends. It has a lot of five friends and one of them always tries to seduce the beauty of the village Vasanthi (Sonarika) but eventually fail every time.No choice, Shoban takes things in hand and decides to help his friend. But during this process, Vasanthi falls for Shobhan. As these situations are presented in a rather funny way, twist in the tale arises when the father of Vasanti (Rao Ramesh) fixed the marriage of his daughter to one of the best friends Shobana Jagan (Kabir Singh).Rest of the story is how, Shoban erases all its problems among his friends and wins her love.

Plus Points: -

The story of how was woven around five friends is pretty good. Probably for the first time, the heroes of friends have powerful roles in a Telugu film. Bellamkonda Srinivas is impressive in his second outing. The way he led his role and gives a performance all is appreciable. He worked hard on his strength and will surely be a promising player in the future.Srinivas Reddy did a decent job in his role. His comedy works well during the first half. All teasing and romantic scenes that are presented during the first half are ok. Kabir Singh minimizes the villain well and impresses with his act.Second half is where the film moves at a rapid pace. The twist is presented during the height is good and has been treated in an interesting way. Song Tamanna is a huge plus in the end and was also shot very rich. Actor Madhu gets a meaty role and does his best. Chaitnya Krishna Prakash Raj and make their characters as required.

Negative points: -

As the film is based on friendship, there should be some scenes that highlight the link between close friends. The story does not move at a steady pace during the first half. It was possible to more comedy that policymakers have failed to use it.
Although Sonarika looks good on the screen, its role and performance should have been better. As the story revolves around her, a little bigger stars could do wonders for the film. Post interval, the film becomes routine family with unnecessary emotions.

Music of the film is quite impressive that all the songs sound good and have also been slaughtered richly. background score is also nice and elevates the film to a decent level. The installation is correct, but a song featuring the actor Satya could have been removed. The production values are superb and the camera work manages to showcase the most natural possible film.Coming to the Director Bheenineni he did a decent job with the film. He introduced the young hero quite well and also put the film on a decent tone. Had he grown a little comedy and raised the bond of friendship further, the output would have been even better.

Overall, Speedunnodu has an interesting story line that is located in a rural set up. Bellamkonda Srininvas impressed with his all round skills and does its job very well. interesting twists during the climax and sumptuous songs are huge assets. Unless some dull moments during the first half and the lack of emotional bond between friends, this film can be given a shot for the overall package.

Aakash (Ravi Teja) is a happy go lucky man who dreams of making it big. He is a Minister of State (Sayaji Shinde) and some how the joins. Slowly but surely, it is moving forward in life and manages to become the right arm of the Interior Minister (Rao Ramesh). Seeing his charm and wit, the daughter of the minister of home (Rashi Khanna) falls in love with Aakash.Things change overnight and the Minister of the Interior decides to announce his daughters wedding and invite the Chief Minister (Boman Irani). Right when the wedding announcement will be made, Aakash gives a huge shock for the home and the chief minister.
What is the impact? What Aakash has to do with the chief minister? What is the current plan? And where does Tamanna feature in all this is set up the rest of the story.

Plus Points: -

Once again, Ravi Teja proves he is a master in the creation of mass entertainment. It is superb in the film and gives performance throughout. The credit goes to Sampath Nandi to show him in such a good role. The way he has highlighted Ravi Teja in all episodes of action and thrills is very good.the film is hilarious fist half with great entertainment. Everything works great moment and the manager made sure that its story line is presented in an entertaining way. Raashi Khanna ups glamor quotient and suits his character extremely well. His acting abilities have also improved and she surprises us in her bikini avatar.Highlights of the first half is 30 years Pruthvi. This talented actor is taking the habit of giving superb performance in each film. It Posani with Ravi Teja and evoke great comedy in the first half. Bang interval was treated extremely well and surprises the public. Some fights and emotional scenes in the second half were well executed.

Negative points: -

In each film Ravi Teja, entertainment is a considerable asset and lacks a bit in the second half. Not that the second half is bad, there is not much entertainment as the film moves on a serious conflict of interest between Ravi Teja and Boman Irani. Surprisingly, Tamannah has nothing to do and only appears for singing and dancing.routine scenes flashback episode and the hero with a past tainted, everything happens on a predictable note and spoils the fun during this time. In addition, songs spoil the mood of the film in the second half as they come at regular intervals.Although Raashi sizzles in a bikini, there was absolutely no need for this as it would have saved the Act for a better stage and film. Ravi Teja looks too thin in many scenes and must recover its weight seriously.

Technical aspects: -

Bengal tiger is high on the technical aspects. camera work is superb and showcases the film in a good light. The production values are top quality that policymakers do not compromise on the rich content in the film. Special mention must go to Ram Lakshman fighting to compose an interesting way. Bheems music is quite impressive and the signature tune in the background score elevates the film to a decent level.Coming to the director Sampath Nandi, it does a decent job with the film. It induces great entertainment and sets up a first half racy. The Sampath scenario is good, but it becomes somewhat predictable in the second half. Even if the story chosen by him is routine, the way he told the film is decent. He added a bit more entertainment in the second half, the output would have been even better.

Verdict:-

Overall, Bengal Tiger brand is a typical artist Ravi Teja. A full on entertaining first half, glamor quotient and executed mass elements are huge assets for the film. If you manage to go well prepared for a second half serious and emotional, Bengal Tiger will end as a watch at home this weekend.

They were the most popular children's books around, with kids eagerly awaiting the release of each new title in the series. Dismissed by many educators and critics as "junk literature" and catching the ire of religious leaders for fostering an interest in magic and fantasy, the writer behind them was nonetheless adored by fans of all ages around the globe. With all this popularity, it was inevitable that some enterprising producer would consider shooting a live-action film version.

Think I'm talking about Harry Potter? (If so, you didn't read the headline too closely.) No, this all happened about a century ago, and the author in question was L. Frank Baum, creator of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, who would eventually go J.K. Rowling one better and make his own silent Oz movies. With next week's 70th anniversary video re-release of MGM's The Wizzard of Oz in mind, let's take a look at the cinematic history of Oz, one that began long before Judy Garland donned a pair of ruby slippers--which, by the way, were silver in Baum's novel. MGM thought red would look better in Technicolor.

The very first glimpse of Oz in motion picture form came in 1908, just eight years after the first book's debut. Baum himself penned and financed a stage show entitled "Fairylogue and Radio-Plays," which mixed a live lecture by him, a slide show, and brief silent film vignettes based on four of his books and featuring a cast of mostly children. The production enjoyed a brief run on the New York stage, but its ultimate failure (which contributed to Baum's bankruptcy in 1911) allowed the Selig Polyscope Company, makers of the movie segments, to step in and produce four Oz short films without the author's participation.

Of the four, only 1910's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is known to still exist. The 13-minute story borrows from both Baum's book and a contemporary Broadway adaptation, the latter of which explains the lines of chorus girls and actors in animal costumes. In it, Dorothy and the Scarecrow are both (!) in Kansas, until a cyclone sends them, Toto, and a cow and mule to the Land of Oz. Searching for the Wizard, the group is joined by the Tin Woodman, the Cowardly Lion and the Hungry Tiger, and they clash with the wicked Momba the Witch, whom Dorothy manages to "liquidate" and thus free the kingdom. It's an interesting, albeit creaky, curio that gives a peek at how stage shows looked at the turn of the last century.

By 1914, Baum had moved to Hollywood, California, just as the movie industry was getting established there, and decided the time was right to set up his own movie production company to bring his visions to on-screen life. Forming the Oz Film Manufacturing Company and serving as its president (but, wisely, not investing his own funds this time), Baum would script three feature-length films based on his works. The movies were well-made and boasted impressive special effects for their time, but ultimately failed to find much audience interest with either children or adults. The first, The Patchwork Girl of Oz, was relatively faithful to its namesake book and offered a lively performance by French acrobat Pierre Coudrec in the title role of Scraps, a human-size doll who comes to life and helps a Munchkin boy named Ojo and his uncle reach the Emerald City. Released in late 1914, Patchwork 's lack of box office success ultimately doomed the comapny's subsequent entries, The Magic Cloak of Oz (based on the non-Oz tale Queen Zixi of Ix) and His Majesty, The Scarecrow of Oz (which would finally get a limited release in 1917).

ollowing the demise of the Oz Film Manufacuting Company, Baum continued to write until his death in 1919. The books' publishers hired Philadelphia-born Ruth Plumly Thompson to carry on with new stories in the series beginning in 1921, but the movie industry stayed away from the fantasyland for several years, until slapstick comic Larry Semon would direct, co-script (with Baum's son Frank J.), and star in 1925's The Wizard of Oz. Once again straying from the original text, this version also starred Dorothy Dwan (who would eventually become Mrs. Semon) as a rather nubile Dorothy who is wooed by a pair of rival farmhands, played by Semon and a pre-Laurel Oliver Hardy. A tornado arrives to sweep the trio and Dorothy's Uncle Henry (plus a stereotypic black worker, who in surviving prints is named either Rastus or Snowball) up and into Oz, where it's learned that Dwan is actually the country's long-lost princess and rightful ruler. The Wizard is a royal court magician, there's not a wicked witch to be seen, and Semon, Hardy and the black farmhand disguise themselves as a scarecrow, tin man and lion, respectively, to avoid capture. Semon's very loose adaptation failed at the box office (notice a pattern here?), and is of interest today only for a glimpse of Ollie before Stan.

Aside from a long-missing 1932 short based on the second Baum book, The Land of Oz, the only other pre-1939 cinema release of note was a 1933 animated cartoon, The Wizard of Oz. It covers part of the familiar story (Dorothy and Toto travel via twister, meet the Scarecrow and Tin Woodman, and visit the Wizard, who shows them some magic tricks) , but the interesting concept here is that the Kansas scenes are in black-and-white, with everything turning to color once Dorothy arrives in Oz. Could this independently-made cartoon have been what inspired MGM to use the same trick for their own film six years later?

In summation, the road to big-screen life for the residents of Oz in the 38 years since Baum's "American fairy tale" first saw print was just as perilous as Dorothy and her friends' trip down the Yellow Brick Road, filled with several detours from the source material and a surprising lack of financial success. While it was considered Hollywood's premier film studio at the time, MGM certainly had its work cut for it when, in 1938, it announced plans to turn The Wizard of Oz into a big-budget, Technicolor musical. That film's final outcome, and cinematic depictions of life in the Emerald City since then, will be discussed next week.

Yet another point in the film is the most run time. As the film is just 1 hour 40 minutes, things are changing at a rapid pace.

Negative points: -

major drawback of the film is the lack of scary moments. All who have seen the trailer and go into thinking it is a horror film will be completely wrong. Avunu 2 is a thriller that is predictable most of the time.First half of the film is routine and has the same concept that had Avunu. Those who have seen the first part could be bored during this time. climax of the film is quite simple and a bit rushed. The character of Ravi Varma goes overboard during the first half.

Technical aspects:-

As said before, the film's production values are brilliant. The chosen house and how Ravi Babu uses its every nook and corner is very good. background score is the main ingredient for any horror film, but unfortunately it is the biggest drawback of Avunu 2. The composite score becomes irritating after a point and haunts you until the end.Ravi Babu to come, he does not experiment much and showcases decent sensations in the film. The way he has pace throughout the second half will be enjoyed by everyone. Editing is stylish and is perfect for movies in the genre.

Overall, Avunu 2 are well executed and engaging times. The chosen principle the second half and decent lead-melting performances are essential assets.
