Story: -
Aravind (Nani) is an honest young man who opposes injustice and corruption. It goes to any extent to do good for society and the land of corrupt people behind bars often. One day, he decided to meet the corruption in government offices and collect key evidence against a minister and some other officers.He also filed a case and manages to reveal corruption. Upset by this, the Minister decides against evil-attack and introduced him look like Aravind named Maya Kannan. Rest of the story is how Aravind manages to cope with all its problems and send the corrupt behind bars.
Plus Points: -
The character of Nani Maya Kannan in the second half is the main highlight of the film. You will see a new dimension to the game of Nani as he will surprise you with its power packed performance. body language, delivery of the dialogue and how it portrays the negative nuances are too good. For the first time in his career, Nani has a dual role and excels in both.
idea of the story is quite new and the manager so Samutrakani reported the social message is also good. The last 20 minutes before the interval are engaging and were executed very well. Amala Paul is wonderful as the next girl. Ragini Dwivedi supports able to the character of Maya Kannan.Sarath Kumar is perfect in its appearance and is Shiva Balaji as a television journalist. Vennela Kishore manages to make a few laughs in the first half. The episode of the court during the climax was well developed.
Negative points: -
major drawback of the film are the first 20 minutes. Story of the film is dragged insignificant as the procedure takes time to unfold. The love track between Nani and Amala Paul is below par and becomes an obstacle on the road during the first half. As the film is oriented messages, entertainment levels are a little low. Even if there are only two songs they have also been cut.After setting the range block with enough verve, the film slows slightly. As the twist in the tale is revealed during the interval, scenes for the post interval become predictable. Film length is too long as many stages during the second half could have been cut.
Technical aspects :-
Camerawork in the film is top notch all the visuals were presented beautifully. background score G V Prakash student film to another level. As said before, many unnecessary scenes could be easily modified. Action episodes might have also been designed better.
Coming to the Director Samudrakani he did a decent job with the story, but added unnecessary marketing elements that stops the flow of the film freely. Sashankh Vennalakanti dialogues are pretty decent.
Verdict: -
Overall, Janda Pai Kapiraju is a film that Nani will be extremely proud. It impresses us in two different roles and gives a commendable performance. interesting social message, interval shot are essential assets. If you can sit through the long episodes and unnecessary trade, you might end up liking this powerful film.
