story:

Anand Rao (Rao Ramesh), is the head of Lakshmi Nilayam and is a very strict father. After his daughter Lakshmi (Avika Gor) finished his studies, he obtained his fiancee to a software engineer.Moreover, Sai (Naga Shourya) gets to see Lakshmi and falls flat for her. Overall, "Lakshmi Raave My Intiki is just an entertainer below average which is good only in pieces. The entertaining first half, energy performance Naga Shourya and Avika Gor are the main positives. On the other hand, a second half slow paced and a climax flat spoil the fun completely.

Story:-

Vaishu(Yoma Nandi) is a spoilt brat who keeps partying with her friends and does not listen to her parents’ advice of getting married. One fine day, she meets a handsome music director named Krishna(Prince) and falls head over heels for him.

When things seem to be going just fine between them, Krishna goes missing all of a sudden. What will Vaishu do now ? What happened to Krishna ? What is this sudden twist in the romantic tale ? To know all the answers, watch the film on the big screen.

Plus Points:-

Yoma Nandi is one of the biggest assets of the film. She walks away with all the applause and does supremely well in her character. Her role gave a lot of scope for her to perform and Yoma pulls it off with ease. She was superb as the rich spoilt brat and also showed her versatility as the desperate lover during the second half.

Romantic scenes designed between the lead pair during the first half are decent. Interval bang is okay and elevates the film decently. Some scenes which showcase heroine’s search for the hero have been designed well.

Minus Points:-

Illogical narration is the biggest drawback of the film. The romantic moments and heart touching emotions between the lead pair are completely missing in this film. Even though, the film starts off on a interesting note, things falls apart as the film progress into the second part.

Logic goes for a toss in many scenes and so many important factors are unexplained. Certain scenes regarding hero’s memory loss look silly and over the top. The film is wrapped up in a hurry making things go haywire.

Technical Aspects:-

Shekhar Chandra’s music is impressive. Editing by Martand K Venkatesh is below par as many illogical scenes could have been easily removed. Production values are okay and so were the dialogues. Coming to the director Vani, she has done a decent job for her first film. The way she has etched out the heroine’s character and story looks quite experienced. She gives importance to her female character and showcases that how strong are women folks during this day and age. Credit should go to her for showcasing the heroine in such a pwerful role.

Verdict:-

For every love story to click, the feel good factor and romantic emotions are a must. But sadly for Marala Telupana Priya, none of these feelings exist and the film ends up as a painful watch. Except for Yoma Nandi’s sincere performance, this film has nothing much to offer this weekend. Look out for something else.

Television Premiers and Their Marketing Gimmicks

Which movie marks its World Television Premier this weekend? While most of us are fed up seeing the likes of Agneepath on Zee Cinema, Wednesday on UTV Movies or Robot on Sony Max, we expect the Hindi movie schedules to be more sorted.

Repetitive schedules every week might urge the fans to switch to other channels in search of new films, unless it is a film like 3 Idiots or DDLJ that's being telecasted.

But again it depends on which film is being telecasted. Films like Once Upon A Time IN Mumbai Again and Zanjeer which bombed at the box office proves to back fire for channels telecasting them unless there is no good option on TV. While most of them have opted for seeing BIGG BOSS 7 with Salman Khan or MAHABHARAT on a Sunday evening, it only goes out to prove that people do not have access to very few good films on the weekend. So while channels need to make an attempt to bring new films to improve their TRPs, they also need to shuffle with good films in their schedule rather than frequently repeating it. If they do not adapt to this formula they might just end up being another Channel V. While the music channel converted itself into a youth centric channel and have got ridden of their dose of music, the channel had started showcasing films every morning. But then the repetitiveness of films forced the channel to replace it with new youth centric shows. Similar was the case with MTV who once showcased films only to realise that the formula isn't working for them.

But some channels still manage to sell old and new releases in a very modern manner wherein they bank upon their promotional tactics to make the broadcast a hit formula. Social media, mobile marketing and various contests make sure that the film, in spite of being telecasted for the millionth time will get its audience. These contests include bribing prizes like the film posters, DVDs, merchandise and even a date with the lead star cast of the film. Hindi movie TV channels like Sony Max, Movies Okay, COLORS and Zee films are too fond of this technique of promotion. While Facebook and Twitter contests begin a few hours before the movie is broadcasted, the excitement and the moods are already set.

However with limited techniques of promotion and lack of innovation, it will be interesting to see how these movie channels cash in their gimmicks to hold on to their viewers.

Why is it the ones that stick with us are tinged with sadness.

Some you remember because they're just great tunes, others we remember because they compliment the movie but occasionally there are the ones that define a movie and are intrinsically linked with the celluloid itself.

The following three themes are some of the saddest and make for some of the greatest movie art of all time.

The Godfather Waltz - Nino Rota

This is the one theme that is worth taking up the trumpet for and spending all the endless hours of practice needed to perform this iconic piece.

The theme takes on various transformations during the course of the movie, but it's the haunting solo trumpet theme that really defines the movie. Sad almost like a eulogy, maybe the association of the trumpet with the last post makes this the perfect instrument to carry this theme.

After all the orchestration, and variations that the theme undergoes, in the end we are left with the feeling in the pit of our stomachs, that ultimately the gangsters life is a meaningless empty and selfish choice with nothing left but atonement.

Taxi Driver - Bernard Hermann

Set in New York, the theme tune lends itself perfectly to Tom Scott's yearning alto sax solo. The lilting sax riff and theme, is the musical equivalent of the melancholic Travis Bickle, the main character.

This is juxtaposed with the hard repetitive drums and brass swells that depict the gritty city background and show the alienation, of Travis as he works his shift.

This was Bernard Hermann's final film score before his death. A timely masterpiece which includes some of the composer's own despondency and is something that resonates in the mood of the film; quite rightly, the film is dedicated to him.

Pan's Labyrinth - Javier Navarrete

Set 5 years after the Spanish Civil War the film is a strange mix of Fantasy and historical fact, depicting a young girl's struggle to come to terms with her domineering father and ailing mother. The film has a deep sadness running through it, which is depicted in the lovely memorable lullaby on which the whole soundtrack is based. Navarrete was nominated for an academy award for this score. The film went on to achieve international acclaim, and it's themes of war, fantasy and hope make some compelling viewing

If you've not yet seen any of these movies, they're worth watching just to experience the soundtrack, but movie and music are almost inseparable and you can't have one without the other.

The immense popularity of the Star Trek movie series has been successfully transferred to the field of games many times. And when I say many, I think MANY. If we exclude the 4 pinball implementations, there are about 100 titles published since in the following areas: Arcade, Computer, Console, and Mobile games. The timespan includes from 1971 until today.
Probably even hard-core fans haven’t managed to try them all. I have played most of the modern ones, and from my experience there probably about 10 that really deserve attention, but these 4 are pretty special:

1. Star Trek: Alien Game. This is one of the MMOBG titles themed after Star Trek universe. What players have to do is build a base and support ventures fighting aliens (Species 8472 and more). You are given a choice between the Federation and the Klingon Empire and each has unique technology, officers, ships, and artwork to offer. Species 8472 (the product of an experiment whose purpose was to test enemies’ capabilities) trapped the fluidic space which you can explore and conquer. 2. Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force. Elite Force is considered to be one of the best FPS games of its time. Even those who were not fans of Star Trek fans found this game very appealing. It really has amazing graphics if we consider when the time of its creation (at the beginning of the century). It is followed by equally well-designed music and sounds. The story simply makes you go on and find out what is next. The voice acting is also excellent and it adds up to the whole atmosphere. Be prepared to face with some pretty challenging exploration puzzles as well as some quite fast scenes requiring quick reflexes. The story jumps to the present day, where Blakefinally meets "The Prime Merlinian, a young 10 year old boy named DaveStutler (played by Jay Baruchel) , when he wanders into Blake's magic store andaccidentally frees Horvath.

Horvath dedicates the rest of his life to freeingthe evil Morgana and destroying the mortal world. But a clever plot twistresults in Horvath and Blake getting trapped together in an urn. Eventually 10 moreyears pass until they are freed. Horvath immediately begins his quest to freeMorgana. Blake has no choice but to search for that kid who walked into hisshop 10 years ago.

He finds the kid, David, as a 20 year old, nerdyNYU science major. David is Blakes only hope of freeing Veronica and defeatingthe combined forces of Horvath and Morgana.

The rest of the movie deals with Blake teachinghis new apprentice David the finer points of wizardry in preparation for theshowdown with the evil wizards. This will remind older viewers of the Master /Apprentice scenes in Star Wars where Yoda tutors Luke Skywalker in preparationof his battle with Darth Vader. The special effects and CGI during this portionof the film is spectacular.

Nicholas Cage is just great when he can play quirkycharacters, and his wizard is just fantastic. He delivers lines with amusingsmirks that would sound so corny if uttered by other actors. But as we discoverlater on, he is a dangerous foe when the chips are down.

As the apprentice, Jay Baruchel is just aboutperfect as the nerdy college student who at first treats Blake as a crazyvagabond, then slowly begins to realize just how powerful he really is. Hisearly training scenes with Cage are priceless as he slowly learns of his latentwizard abilities.

But the scene everyone is talking about of course,is the one where the too big for his britches Dave tries out some magic onhis own to an attempt to short-cut his chores after the Sorcerer Blake leaves.The dancing brooms and never ending buckets of water are all here as Dave triesdesperately to undo his errant magic spell. The director and actors nailed thisscene. And the look on the Sorcerer Blakes face when he walks into this messis easily one of the best double takes of the year.

The main components of the National Treasuremovies are here director Jon Turteltaub, actor Nicholas Cage and JerryBruckheimer. As in that successfulseries, the director blends a nice combination of action and comedy. The moviedoesnt overdo the special effects except in the magic scenes.

I would have never thought it possible to create afeature length film from a small animated sequence of Disneys Fantasia.

The digestive system is down-regulated when the body is under stress and one of the symptoms is belly fat. There are four basic body types that determine where fat is distributed in the body; liver, ovary, thyroid and adrenal, and each one of these affects the other.

How your body utilizes the carbohydrates and sugar that you eat determines the ratio of two hormones, insulin and glucagon. Both are released by the pancreas; glucagon is released when blood-sugar levels are low, and insulin is released when blood-sugar levels are high. A higher proportion of insulin means that more sugar will be stored as fat. A higher proportion of glucagon means that more fat will be broken down and will be used as either building materials or fuel for the body.

When our system is stressed in any of the areas of the Triad of Health; structural, chemical, or emotional, the body responds with the same stress response, no matter the source. The brain stimulates the adrenal glands to release cortisol, which acts on the liver to break down glycogen into sugar for "fight-or-flight" which in turn triggers the release of insulin. The insulin brings the sugar into play for action, and if none is needed by the muscles, the sugar goes back to the liver. If not needed there because the liver has reached its maximum capacity for it, it goes to fat storage.

Thus, as our bodies adapt to a chronic state of stress, say a structural or emotional stress, our hormones become out of balance creating an additional chemical stress on our system.

In the body, everything truly does affect everything else.
