Last night i had the privilege of being invited the the Burleque movie premier in Cape Town, south Africa, i was really impressed with the movie - This is what the Burlesque movie is all about (well this is my brief description of the burlesque movie storyline!) ... The Burlesque Lounge is struggling for survival and it has its best days behind it. Tess, who is a retired dancer and owner of the the theater, struggles to keep the aging theater alive, facing all kinds of financial and artistic challenges. With the Lounge's members becoming increasingly distracted by personal problems and a threat coming from a wealthy businessman's quest to buy the spot from Tess, the good fortune seems to have abandoned the club altogether. Meanwhile, the life of Ali, a small-town girl from Iowa, is about to change dramatically. Hired by Tess as a waitress at the Lounge, Ali escapes a hollow past and quickly falls in love with the art of burlesque. Backed by newfound friends amongst the theater's crew, she manages to fulfill her dreams of being on stage herself. Things take a dramatic turn though when Ali's big voice makes her become the main attraction of the revue. Dave was kind enough to share with us the source code he used to

It should be noted this effect works only in browsers that
support HTML version 4.0 or greater. This is only a minor
concern, however, as the vast majority of browsers that are being
used today are compatible.

Yes, but will the Search Engines tolerate the "trick"?

Obviously the most pressing question is whether or not the search
engines will accept, or reject, pages that make use of this
strategy. After all, the possibility of layering irrelevant
content under, or even entirely off the page (by assigning minus
positioning coordinates) is a distinct possibility.

To anticipate how the search engines might view this strategy,
once again, we consider the issues of "intention" and
"relevancy."

Perhaps Stephen Baker, Director of Business Development and

I am certainly one of the people who was really looking forward to watching this movie because the book, The Way of the Peaceful Warrior, did have a significant impact on my life when I read it about ...

I am certainly one of the people who was really looking forward to watching this movie because the book, The Way of the Peaceful Warrior, did have a significant impact on my life when I read it about 15 years ago. I was not disappointed.

I was impressed with the level of talent that was brought to it. I thought Nick Nolte was great as Socrates. I also liked Scott Mechlowicz and Amy Smart in their roles.

Of course, as a big fan of the book, I couldnt help being a little disenchanted that it didnt follow it more closely. I realize that was destined to be the case though. The key messages still made their way to the audience in a poignant manner.

I have to admit that there is much I cannot remember now from the book because after I read it I lent it to an acquaintance and never got it back. After renting the DVD I bought it and will buy the original book again as well.

The one missing piece that I had truly hoped to see on screen was the long speech Socrates made at the end of the book as this had the most profound effect on me. Then I remembered that Dan had also put this speech in another book of his that I purchased, No Ordinary Moments. Here is an excerpt.

Story: -

Chandu (Naga Chaitanya) is a small-time crook who deceives everyone and makes money for the education of her sister. One day he comes across on a bag full of money that belongs to a dreaded gangster Manikyam (Posani) with whom he also shares a personal vendetta.
He steals the bag and used the money for his personal problems. Twist in the tale arises when Manikyam Chandu kidnaps father and sister and asked her to return the money. What will Chandu do now? How could pay huge amount for Manikyam? and which does not appear Kriti Sanon in all this set up? Which forms the rest of the story.

Plus Points: -

Twists in the film were executed very well. Naga Chaitanya looks beautiful and has greatly improved his acting abilities. It is well suited role and chemistry with Kriti Sanon refreshing looks. The film has a lot of strong feelings that have been established well. The chase scene in the climax looks cool and was choreographed beautifully.Kriti Sanon looks gorgeous and has been cleverly used in the film. Brahmanandam is the main highlight during the last half hour of the film. His character elevates the film to a decent level and brings a lot of entertainment value. First half of the film moves casually enough and has enough thrilling moments.Posani is very good at the peak and so are his followers. The film's production values are very good and the way the story was conceived is interesting. Ravi Babu is suitable as a cunning police officer and brings a lot of depth to the film. Saptagiri is superb in his appearance.

Negative points: -

This film traces Swamy Ra Ra and in many scenes and history set up to remind you that the film instantly. Second half gets bogged down completely until Brahmanandam made an entry. Tracks are yet another drawback of the film. No songs register in your mind and have been wasted in the film.Bang interval is too simple and rushed up. Although the sensations are good, they take up too much screen time. Some logic is missing in the film and one can easily notice these flaws. Dohchay has very less mass elements and could limit its scope primarily to A centers.

Technical aspects :-

Dohchay is quite high on technical values. the camera work is brilliant and the manager so Sudheer Varma conceptualizes the whole movie looks good. As said earlier, music is the weakest point in the film. But Sunny M R impresses with its decent background score. Film script is good and picks up during orgasm.written dialogues are suitable and appropriate to the nature of the film. Coming to the Director Sudheer Varma, one can easily feel that he is still in the hangover of Swamy Ra Ra, and chose a very similar script. But he earns brownie points by adding some playful elements and raises the tempo during the end which is very important for a film.

Verdict: -

Overall, Dohchay some very stylish action sequences. An interesting premise, well executed first half and a last half hour hilarious are huge assets. If you can sit through the predictable twenty minutes after the interval and go without waiting, you will certainly enjoy this brilliant action thriller.

Make yourself truly believe that you are looking into your future through the crystal ball. Remember every little detail - expression on your friends faces, proud look in you parents eyes. Feel the warm breeze on your face, smell the salty air of the ocean, imagine your new house on the beach.

You need to create a vision so powerful, so desirable, so compelling that it draws all your energy and motivation to it. It has to become an obsession. You have to feel something that a person finding an oasis in the middle of the desert would feel. Absolute excitement and complete determination. Then any goal becomes possible.

In the comics, Shockwave was his general on Cybertron, left there to continue the bad fight as Megatron chased the AllSpark and Prime across the universe. Will Transformers 3 involve some kind of showdown between the brutal-looking Shockwave and the Decepticon-leader? We like that there's respect between their two characters. There's an intriguing twist involving Banner's relationship with the Hulk. We would not say more. The Hulk and this seems to be a unanimous impression - hijacks the movie.

This film demonstrates that sometimes, there's nothing more exhilarating than eyeballing an epic hero vs. hero scrap. Mjolnir, meet the Hulk's face. Have you ever wondered what happens should Thor's enchanted hammer go up against Captain America's indestructible shield?

The plot revolves around the far-ranging machinations of Loki, Asgardian god of mischief. Those who've read the AVENGERS' origin in the comic books should note a smidgen of familiarity, but only a smidgen. The Tesseract artifact plays a part. The bad guys Loki recruits as an invasion force aren't Skrulls. Certainly they pose an extinction level threat, alarming enough that some assembly becomes required.

Captain America is well utilized here although we hating his awkward modern-day costume. We vastly prefered his more practical WWII outfit.

Let's kowtow to Joss Whedon. His storytelling has big scope. It has grandeur. He orchestrates a sprawling, high-profiled cast and just about gets away with not slighting anyone. He does rely some on your familiarity with the character development sunk into the prior films. He manages to tie in various plot threads from previous Marvel pictures. Although Stark, Cap, and Banner get the lion's share of the spotlight, Whedon devotes time and space to side characters like the slinky but lethal spy, the Black Widow, and the likable, unobstrusive Agent Coulson. If you assume the Black Widow's defining action moment surfaces in that early interrogation scene, you'd be all kinds of not right. Scarlett Johansson ticks off Whedon's Buffy box, not only in things assskickery but also in terms of strong character beats (the Widow's dialogue with Loki happens to be an acting showcase). She is so much more here than when she was showcased in IRON MAN 2. It could pick out two people who may have been underused. They would have to be Maria Hill and Hawkeye. It does feel that Cobie Smulders was wasted.

We love that like in the comics. Thor never gives up on his half-brother.

The first half hour is essentially a slow burn set-up but it keeps you engaged. And at times Whedon does sacrifice narrative for those wild action sequences and that's okay, because Whedon treats us to a series of marvelous cape-on-cape violence (in true Marvel fashion, these heroes harbor instant grudges against each other). But all those violent "misunderstandings" merely whet your appetite. Joss doesn't disappoint. The extended climactic combat sequence - as the Avengers hold the line against a horde of grotesque invaders from deep space - is off the charts and immensely gratifying. I'm reminded of the 1990s X-Men cartoon in which the camera would often track the X-Men in frenzied action, as they hurtle in and out of the picture, occasionally mingling with each other only to break off again into individual skirmishes. It was mesmerized by Whedon's sweeping, organic approach to the battle scenes.

No surprise, there are heaps of whip smart one-liners, plenty of them generated by a smirky Robert Downey, Jr. and yet even Chris Hemsworth's regal thunder god elicits chuckles. No contest, though, the brutalizing Hulk - rendered to savage life in astonishing CG - captures two of the film's biggest laughs.

For pure escapism and sheer fanfare and fan service beyond expectation, THE AVENGERS is the best superhero movie we have ever seen. We have to see it again. But you, you make sure to stick around for the embedded scene during the post-credits and then for the post-credit scene. You may wet your pants. Hours and hours later, It is still big grinning. Joss Whedon actually pulled it off.
