The story is an interesting take on the whole super hero genre and with the recent trend of showing the other side of super hero life. Films like The Watchmen and comic book series like Civil War that shows the human side or the dark side of super heroes has opened a whole new way to tell their stories. Why shouldn't super heroes have feelings and emotions? You got a little bit of that with the Superman movies of the early eighties, but they were afraid to explore the underside of the whole genre like the new films like the new Dark Knight movies. People like their super heroes to be a little more human, to feel pain, to make choices that don't always seem black and white on the surface. Hancock does a good job in that area, but just doesn't quite hit it hard enough.

Plus Points: -

Let's start with Sharwanand. It has a role tailor-made in the film, and has once again proved the interpreter of a power house it is. The way he goes about his character is superb. It surprises us with its uber cool look and exhilarating energy in his performance. It is a complete make over him, he offers with great authority.Yet another major advantage of the film is the story interesting. The various twists that were presented are quite unique and will surely impress the audience. Debutante Seerat Kapoor's ok for her first film, and provides the necessary glamor. Adavi Sesh is the surprise of the film. His character was written intelligently, and the handsome actor plays the role of a police officer with great conviction.
The first half of the film is very entertaining. He has the necessary romance, comedy and sudden twists. Dilip Kumar Mirchi fame, did a superb job of a police officer to the soul. Vennela Kishore impressed in his cameo innocent but cute.

MinusPoints: -

major negative film, is the first 15 minutes post interval. After setting up the film beautifully through the first half, the pace of the movie completely bogs. unnecessary scenes and songs, come in. As mentioned above, at least one song have been cut.Although the film has enough twists, once the twist is revealed, the film gets predictable towards the end. As we prepare for an interesting climax, it was a bit rushed.

Technical aspects:-

Run Run Raja is quite good in its technical aspects. From the look of Sharwanand the production values, UV creations should be commended for giving this film a great look cool and fresh.the work of the camera is good, because it presents the film in a new light. The selected locations, and how the songs were slaughtered is also good. Ghibran music is quite fun, and so is the background score. Coming to the Director Sujeeth he impressed us with his first attempt. The way he manages the history and tells a romantic and entertaining way is impressive.screenplay is quite good, and how the twists are revealed is also very good. Installation is about right, and at least five minutes of Love Sharwa the track in the second half could have been cut.

Verdict:

Overall, Run Run Raja is a perfect back for Sharwanand. Although the film bogs down a bit after the interval, elegant and entertaining character Sharwanand, various twists make this film a Breezy artist. Recommended.

Using a whirlwind of archival footage, maps, and split screens, Roch conveys Garcia's reign as Europe's premiere spy in a constantly fluid fashion, aesthetically mimicking the his crafty and cagey nature. Since the film is essentially a celebration of Garcia's hidden and virtually unknown impact on the war, the narrative is fittingly constructed like something out of Joseph Campbell's The Hero with a Thousand Faces. Initially, West explains the context of Garcia's initial outrage against fascism during the 1930s Spanish Civil War, and Roch provides plenty of horrific footage to back these assertions up. Pledging loyalty to both the Francoists and Spanish loyalists, Garcia cuts his teeth as a double agent throughout the three-year struggle, nearly getting killed on multiple occasions. Garcia's focus would eventually turn to WWII, and Roch reveals how seamlessly he ingratiates himself into the good graces of the Nazis, who provided misinformation regarding troop convoys and other essential intelligence. The effortless way Roch conveys these historical timelines makes one thankful Garcia didn't have the reverse ideological intentions.

The film's thrilling climax details Garcia's masterpiece of intrigue, aptly titled "Operation Fortitude," when the spy wired a stream of blatant misinformation to the Germans during the lead up to the Allied invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944. In a bit of brilliant double-crossing, Garcia convinced the Third Reich that Colonel Patton was going to invade through Calais on the west coast of France, and the Normandy campaign was merely a diversionary tactic. This ruse proved incredibly successful during the assault, but even more so after the fact as Garcia further stalled a German counter-attack with more debilitating untruths. With this in mind, Roch structures Garbo: The Spy to basically affirm that Garcia was one of the key factors in crushing Nazism.

Roch goes to on to explore Garcia's post-war life, which included him faking his own death in Angola before moving to South America, where he operated a cinema and lived for nearly four more decades. Thanks in large part to the investigative work of West, a stoic professor who provides the bulk of the film's interview footage, Garcia was able to return to Normandy in 1984 and receive an esteemed medal from the British government. Footage of the now aged Garcia walking the beaches of Southern France and the expansive cemetery for the fallen soldiers has a special resonance considering the context.

For whatever reason, Roch juxtaposes his nicely constructed mosaic of archival footage and graphics with one heightened musical track after another. The build up to the film's release has been intense to say the least, and legions of new fans have come to the story through the run-up to the film, discovering the graphic novel that has been so respected for so long. The Watchmen graphic novel was originally published in 12 individual issues by DC Comics in the 1980s, and was a critical success, but it wasn't until the story was collected together into trade paperback format that the Watchmen legend truly began to spread.

That graphic novel became the most respected and celebrated piece of comics storytelling of all time, ranking higher than all of the big name characters and franchises. This was a true one-off, a masterpiece of writing and art that has stood the test of time and should be enjoyed for generations to come. The book, created by comics legend and infamous writer Alan Moore, with incredible art by Dave Gibbons, brought the idea of darker comics to a wider audience. Where many darker, more dramatic hero titles had previously wallowed in indie comics obscurity, now audiences wanted tales with more bite.

And now here is the film adaptation. For many years it was said to be unfilmable, impossible to bring to the big screen, but after many rights issues the property was made by Warner Brothers, directed by Zack Snyder and features a cast that is utterly perfect for the characters they portray. It is the holy grail of comic book films, and to the surprise of many and the thrill of many others, the most important comic book series and graphic novel in history has become the greatest comic book feature film ever made.

With incredible production design thoughout, exquisite editing and a cast that has fully grasped the nature of the characters they play, this interpretation of WATCHMEN is incredible. It may have changed the story a little, and notoriously changed the ending, but it is as close to the real thing as it is possible to get onscreen.

The task that lay ahead? Someone must now create something just as incredible for the next generation to enjoy, but with Watchmen's strength and influence impossible to ignore, it will be some time yet before we see anything that makes such an impact on so many areas of the entertainment industry.

Anushka’s Size Zero has been in the news from quite some time now. After a huge round of promotions, the film which is directed by Prakash Kovelamudi has finally hit the screens today. Let’s see how it is.

Story: -

Sweety (Anushka) is a cute looking girl who suffers from overweight problems. Even after so many attempts, his mother can not marry. Disappointed by the rejection all the time, Sweety decides not to marry in the near future.This is also the time when she meets Abhi (Arya), an NRI who makes documentary films. Sweety falls in love with Abhi and begins to get closer to him. Twist in the tale arises when Abhi starts shifting his loyalty to his stylish close friend Simran (Sonal Chauhan).Disappointed by the rejection again, Sweety decided to join a weight loss program called Size Zero. Sweety will succeed in reducing weight? What are the problems she faced during this period? and she will win her love back? Which forms the rest of the story.

Plus Points: -

It would not be exaggeration to say that Anushka is the only actress in Tollywood who can remove this role. Heroin stars is just beautiful and makes the audience fall in love with his character and problems. Anushka is busy in his character and hard work she has put on weight clearly shows on screen.Arya gives broad support to Anushka and performs well in his role. Prakash Raj impresses once again with its unique character. Sonal Chauhan is capable in his role and provides the necessary eye candy.First half of the filmis very good with great entertainment and beautiful emotions. Special mention should also go to the way Anushka carried with her costumes. It looks cute and convinces a look chubby completely. Urvashi is impressive in the role of the mother of Anushka.

Negative points: -

Once again, another film Tollywoodfalls flat during the second half. After telling the film convincingly during the first part, manufacturers are focusing on things that could be easily softened down.What should have been a love affair with the very emotional and looking cute is spoiled with unnecessary window size zero weight loss program. The film deviates slightly during the second half of certain undesirable scenes and emotions take center stage. Simplicity, romance and kindness in the film is lost and makes tedious things.

Technical aspects:-

The PVP production values are good and credit should go to them to come in advance to try a script like this one. camera work is very good and emphasizes Anushka and area very well. Scenario dropped during the second half of the film loses its grip a little. The edition is elegant and music M Keeravani score gels with the mood of the film as well.
Coming to the Director Prakash Kovelamudi, it was just for this film. From the story, star cast and performances, he managed to do a decent job. he had taken a little more care during the second half of the effect and to connect would have been even better.

Verdict:-

Overall Size Zero is a film that has some interesting moments from his path. interesting premise and a superb first half are positive basis of this film. If you can ignore the second half mediocre and predictable nature of the script, you can easily give this film a shot for an amazing performance Anuhska and some feel good moments.

Depicting marital infidelity is too easy a conflict. Warring couples have been done to death and they tend to hit the same predictable notes of anger, betrayal, and sadness but usually you dont care because the film always makes sure you know that the cheater is bad and the other party deserves our sympathy. I find it far more challenging to write convincing couples who struggle with the work a relationship requires. Co-writer, director, and star Joshua Leonard has met the challenge with his new film The Lie. Coupled with a fantastic performance from Jess Weixler, Leonard crafts a story that is both heartwarming and bitingly funny. It takes about twenty minutes for the film to find its rhythm, but once The Lie finds its groove, its an absolute joy.

Lonnie (Leonard) is a film editor whos painfully unhappy at his job and wishes to follow his dream of becoming a musician. His wife Clover (Weixler) is about to wrap up at law school and is considering a job at a pharmaceutical company. Thats a major shock and disappointment to Lonnie, who begins to realize that the free-living hippie lifestyle and dreams he and his wife used to share are slipping away. Lonnie is so depressed that he cant even bring himself go to work and lies to his boss by telling him that their daughter is sick. He then spends the day recording a terrible song with his friend Thank (Mark Webber). The following day, hes still unwilling to the office and confronted with the angry ravings of his boss, he says that his daughter has died, because whats the point of having kids if you cant use their fake deaths to get out of work?

Its a shockingly horrible lie and one that cant possibly sustain itself, but rather than feeling dark or even making Lonnie come off as reprehensible, its a set-up for a comedy of errors. The movie never reaches the level of a madcap farce, but watching Lonnie try to keep the ruse alive and a secret from Clover provides the movie with a sharp comic edge thats never mean-spirited. Its not until Clover is politely listening to Lonnies hilariously terrible song Soulcrusher that the film finds its comic voice, but once it does, The Lie knows just how to balance the comedy with the emotional weight of Lonnie and Clovers marriage.

Its not enough to love someone. You also have to be willing to change with them. The Lie approaches Lonnie and Clover at an important crossroads in their lives where they dont want to sacrifice their identities and dreams but they also have to face the mature realities of being a young couple with a child. Lonnie and Clover have a chemistry thats sadly been missing from a lot of the love stories Ive seen at Sundance this year. Its not about who has quirky traits or just smiling a lot. When Clover is listening to Lonnies song Soulcrusher, Weixler has to manage the task of showing the audience that she knows the music is awful, keep up the polite faade so as not to hurt Lonnies feelings, and do so without dialogue because shes listening to her husbands ear-splitting warblings. This is a couple you want to see succeed and Leonard finds convincing conflict without resorting to the old standard of infidelity.

The Lie does take a bit too long to hit its stride. Even though only the first twenty minutes are slow, thats a quarter of the films 80 minute runtime. The film also never really knows what to do with Tank. At best, he functions as a poorly defined sage-like character who seems to represent both freedom and responsibility. Those ideas are already expressed through Lonnie and Clovers relationship so having an oddball, rarely-seen character stand as a symbol seems redundant. These minor frustrations aside, Leonard has made a film that manages not only to take an honest, fulfilling look at the difficulties of marriage, but does so in a funny and delightfully unexpected way.

Tiger is an attempt to showcase Sundeep Kishan in a ground role, and policy makers are behind with their decision. Sundeep is dynamic in a robust role and carries the entire film on his shoulders. His body language, the ease in battle and trust in the dialogues are quite impressive. Tiger should be a turning point in his career and make him some great artists of fiscal policy in the future.Rahul Ravindran is pretty good in his role and balance the film with his subtle approach well. Lack of familiar faces for the role of the wicked also decreases the depth in emotions.

As said before, background score Thaman is a huge bonus. Scenario is quite simple as all the scenes in the first half are well designed. Dialogues are cool and appropriate to the nature of the film. camera work by Chota K Naidu is brilliant and shows the sequences and action movies in a beautiful light. Sundeep Kishan how was raised with these mass visuals are very good.Coming to the Director Anand, he did a wonderful job with his narration and does not beat around the bush. He skillfully presented Sundeep and not go too far in its elevation and manages to engage the public decently.

Verdict:-

Overall, Tiger will be a movie career change to Sundeep Kishan. It is quite impressive in a mass avatar and has all the attributes to go to the next stage as an actor. Thumping background score, beautiful graphics and crisp narration are huge assets. Bollywood needs to figure out its definition of a teaser. Almost 2 minutes long, you'd think the Desi Boyz first look promo would qualify as a theatrical trailer, but the makers would like us to believe it's just a teaser.

If this one has to lead to a more elaborate promo (which is why it is called a teaser in the first place), how much longer would that be?

The Desi Boyz teaser has the voice of Sanjay Dutt introducing audiences to the characters of Akshay Kumar and John Abraham, who are mostly shown strutting around in suits, and striking cool poses. "Ladies and Ladkiyan, pull out the cash for the desi lovers," says the promo, followed by a shot of money being thrown at the two, as they dance around women. Are they gigolos? Love gurus? Or just casanovas? Deepika Padukone is the only other actor clearly visible in the promo, while you catch just a little glimpse of Chitrangadha Singh.

Desi Boyz is the directorial debut of Rohit Dhawan, who is David Dhawan's son. The film, though, looks much more polished, and better on the Production Values front, than any old or recent David Dhawan film (if you've watched any promo of Rascals, you will agree). It looks more like a Karan Johar film than one from David Dhawan's school of filmmaking, and that helps Rohit make a decent first impression. Desi Boyz started filming on 7 November 2010, and completed shooting in May 2011. The film was to feature Sonam Kapoor as the lead actress, but she declined the film. There were also rumours of the film being offered to Anushka Sharma, but she denied this. Eventually, Deepika Padukone and Chitrangda Singh were finalised as the female leads. Padukone will be seen opposite John Abraham for the first time and Singh will star opposite Akshay Kumar in her first commercial venture.
