Kung Fu Panda 2 is an forthcoming animation movie and the sequel for the 2008 movie, Kung Fu Panda. It is planned to be in 3-D and is heading to get directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson, along using the majority from the principal cast returning, together with several fresh characters. The film is planned to be released on May 26, 2011 and was at initial intended to become called Kung Fu Panda 2: Pandamonium. Kung Fu Panda 2 The Kaboom of Doom is Jennifer Yuh Nelson's 1st main movie as director, but she's absolutely no newbie. Her years experience of creating animations guarantees the sequel's quality, besides she was the head of story around the 1st Kung Fu Panda movie.

Po (Jack Black) is currently living his dream after becoming The Dragon Warrior, guarding the Valley of Peace collectively with his pals and fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five - Tigress (Jennifer aniston), Crane (David Cross), Mantis (Seth Rogen), Viper (Lucy Liu) and Monkey (Jackie Chan). But Po's new lifestyle is endangered by the creation of a formidable villain, that plans try using a mysterious, unstoppable weapon to crush China as well as Kung Fu. It's around Po and also the Furious Five to search throughout China additional danger and look after it. But precisely how could Po get rid of a weapon that may possibly prevent kung fu? He needs to search his past and reveal the strategies of his mysterious origins; only after that is he heading to have the ability to discover the power which he needs to become successful.

Jack Black will obviously give once a lot more his voice to Po the panda, as well because the fellow members with the voice cast (Dustin Hoffman, Angelina jolie, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, and David Cross) most likely will reprise their roles too. Furthermore Gary Oldman will be lending his voice to Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom, the sequel set for launch next summer. Oldman will be voicing "a figure called Peacock, who assists Po find the bandits but is actually more than he looks."

The release date of Kung Fu Panda 2: Kaboom of Doom has been arranged for May 27, 2011. The movie had been formerly arranged for a June 3, 2011 release but has now been moved to May 27 where it currently stands alone, one week following the launch of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, one day later than the release of The Hangover 2 and just one week prior to Fox's release of X-Men: First Class.

It is also known that Oscar-winning movie writer Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) has recently completed work on the script to Dreamwork's forthcoming martial arts follow up Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom. Neither the concept for nor the bulk of the Kung Fu Panda sequel's script was created by Kaufman - rather, his contribution amounted to 2 weeks of shine work. It will certainly be intriguing to see if the completed product echos his earlier work in any significant style all the same.

Pleased that a lot of of our pals are going to get returning for that film Kung Fu Panda 2 Motion picture! Let us hope we will have as many jokes as within the 1st one, along with the comparable top quality of animation at least!

Music Helps Raise IQ

I am in love with music. In fact, my Facebook status is all about music or movie soundtracks. I always rely on music in expressing how I feel in a particular situation every single day.

Growing up, music has helped me cope with the many dramas I encountered. The first love, the first broken heart, the loss of my father, and the happy times with friends and family. Even at work, I relax myself from all the stress by listening to the music of Enya. I played the guitar but never really formally took lessons. I just learned how to play so I can socialize with each circle of friends I got to meet.
Recently I discovered that music is actually helpful in the development of our IQ and mental development. Researches on how music affects the brain and mental development are available in musicology and music advocacy sites. It has been observed through the use of advanced technology such as the PET scans and MRI imaging that new neural pathways are created when an individual is engaged in a musical activity. Activities referred includes but not limited to composing musical pieces and playing musical instruments. It has been observed that ALL sides of our brain literally lights up in the monitors as opposed to only a part of the brain lights up when engaged in any other activity. Ive heard of parents making their babies listen to classical music even when theyre still in the womb so that they will grow smart but it was only recently was I informed of the science behind it and the studies that back the claim. Indeed passively listening to music helps. But measurable mental development is mostly attributed to composing and playing musical instruments.
There are, however, many other benefits that can be derived from music. Socially, music is an ageless hobby creating interaction with great people. It can be observed that creativity and striving for excellence is developed and embraced among musical groups. Discipline and organization are also honed. These are traits that prove valuable for us in later life. Think about having children develop these traits early in life, wouldnt it be neat? Sharon Burch, a music teacher and creator of Freddie the Frog book series thought it would be a great idea to get our children interested in music to reap these benefits and help them raise their IQ. She wrote fanciful books with the mission of breaking down big abstract concepts into developmentally appropriate pieces for kids. And she made these books interesting by introducing fascinating characters and places so children can easily retain the lessons in memory.
I wish we had the same resources before when I was younger but then these helpful books are meant for the next generation and my future children. Help raise your kids IQ by engaging them in activities related to music as early as preschool so we can have a future filled with creative, vibrant, and smarter citizens.

X-Files Stuff in the News!

I have always loved science fiction. I always have and always will. However, I do possess, most of the time, a solid enough grip on reality to let go of my sci-fi love when I put the book down or leave the movie theater.

I mean, I would love for half the stuff I see in sci-fi to be true right now. You know what I am talking about, don't you? I would love to be able to zoom through "Space the Final Frontier" in the comforts of the Starship Enterprise sipping margaritas with Jean-Luc Picard while watching the stars fly by. Maybe that babe, Counselor Troi, could join us.

Yes, I can tell the difference between truth and reality (sort of). It's fun to pretend but I know when the pretense stopsor do I?

Another kind of sci-fi on the caliber of the "X-files" has been going on lately and I want to know just what in the name of Agent Mulder is going on?

I wrote a week or two ago about the exploding toads of Germany.

"I cannot get out of my mind the exploding toad phenomenon reported in the Altona district of Hamburg, Germany. This was taking place at the end of April 2005, causing a ghoulish and macabre mess that confused the hell out of scientists. They had taken to calling the district the "pond of death".

They think they may have solved this little grotesqueness with the explanation of some peckish toad-liver-stealing crows. I don't buy that at all.

On May 18th, a report appeared in the Associated Press about a scene right out of Hitchcock's "The Birds" occurred in Houston.

Apparently, some rather miffed Grackles (a large and loud crow-like bird) have gotten it into their little pea-sized birdbrains to attack the good citizens of Houston. These attacks have become so vicious that people are being injured.

"The grackles zeroed in on a lawyer who shooed a bird away before he tripped and injured his face, Jue said. The lawyer was treated for several cuts." [1] Can you believe this?

One woman was knocked to the ground, according to the article, and had to be helped up by two men who were also attacked. All three had to flee into a nearby building to escape the Grackle attack.

So what set off this flock of Grackles? And note that they are large and loud Crow-like birds. Is there a connection between the toad-murdering crows of Germany and this Houston event? Don't you want to know?

Then, lo and behold, Reuters' news service reported that on May 19, a sleepy little Russian village's lake simply DISAPPEARED overnight! Imagine that! You go to bed telling the wife that you will be up before the crack of dawn to go "Wet a Hook". You get up, eat a little something, grab the gear, and walk down to the lake, only to find that it is gone--Poof! [2]

I assure you I am not making any of this up. An entire lake was there when the Russians went to bed and the next morning it was gone.

Get this: The article is entitled, "Lake Disappears, baffling villagers". They find it, what, a little baffling? I wonder if TERRORIZED would have been a more appropriate word? Baffled just doesn't cut it. I am thinking that an overnight disappearance of an entire lake would elicit a little stronger reaction like,

" ".

This roughly translates to,

"We are hauling our butts out of here."

Just what the devil is going on here? Exploding toads in Germany (the explanation was NOT conclusive), vicious people-attacking CROW-like birds in Houston (authorities had to close down that section of the street), then the overnight disappearance of an entire lake.

Just where are Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Skully when you need them?

How Do You Like Your Eggs?

Remember the movie Runaway Bride with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere? Theres a breakfast scene where Richard Gereasks Julia Roberts what kind of eggs she likes. Her response is Whatever youre having. She had no clue how she liked her eggsbecause she always ate them however the man she was with at the time atethem. He said No, what kind of eggs do you like? And they proceeded to try all the differentways one could eat eggs, until she decided for herself that she preferred eggsbenedict.

And they proceeded to try all the differentways one could eat eggs, until she decided for herself that she preferred eggsbenedict.

Unfortunately, I find this a common problemamong women. Too often we aim to pleaseand over-accommodate our partner in ways we wouldnt do once the honeymoonphase of the relationship is over. Theproblem from his perspective is it appears over time that weve changed. Well insist that we havent, but we forgotwho we were pretending to be in the beginning because we cant keep the charadegoing forever.

I know, because I did it for all of myrelationships until I figured out how to be authentic in a relationship. I insisted that I wasnt going to settle forless than I deserved again, and in doing so, I discovered a whole lot of thingsabout myself during that self-growth period.

When I determined who the real Stacy was, what she liked and didnt like, I realized that I didnt need to pretendanymore. My man would like the real meor I would move on. If I couldnt besilly, goofy, snort when I laugh, fart in bed, or tell racy jokes with the manI was with, then he wasnt my guy.

I committed to being 100% my own authenticself in my next relationship and I have been.As a result, I have never been happier.Mario tells me at least a dozen times a week, Youre weird - and I loveyou for it. He doesnt always say thoseexact words, most times he just says Youre weird, but hell follow it upwith a hug or a kiss or a playful fist bump to my shoulder, or some otherendearing gesture. He always says itwith affection and I know Im loved.

I asked him this morning what its likefrom the guys perspective to be in a relationship with a woman and witnessthis change. He said, The truth comesout eventually, and then theres a reduced feeling of trust. When there isnt trust in a relationshipwhats left? It usually begins to fadeafter that. Sometimes you stay togetherjust because its easier than leaving, but who wants to be in a relationshipwith someone you dont trust?

He also mentioned that many of his friendshave this belief that women change after marriage, which is why so many men arereticent to get married. Based on ourbehavior, even if we think its for an admirable reason because we care aboutour partner and we want to please them its really because we want to pleaseourselves by receiving approval.

Your desire to please stems from ultimatelywanting approval from your parents. Thisis evidenced by the fact that we tend to date people who are a reflection ofour primary unhealed parental relationship. In order to be fully authentic in your partnership with your mate, youll want to heal as much of that relationship with your Mom or Dad aspossible. A book that helped me verymuch that you can find on the Personal Growth & Healing page of my websiteis Making Peace with Your Parents byHarold Bloomfield, MD. There areexcellent therapeutic exercises in there that I know will help you.

Next, youll want to have a period ofself-reflection, similar to Julia Roberts, and ask yourself; What do I reallyenjoy doing? What kinds of foods do Ilike to eat? What shows do I want to watchand what books or magazines do I prefer to read? Try for a week to only do things that youwant to do. Practice saying No tothings you dont want to do.

Pay attention to how you behave with yourbest friends and reveal some of those elements with your next few dates. If he runs for the hills because you took toobig a bite of spaghetti and you have a strand hanging from your mouth that youslurp up and giggle like a five year old after, then hes a man who is unableto appreciate the small joys in life of having fun acting child-like. (Theres a difference between childish andchild-like but thats a topic for another day.)

Figuring out what makes you happy will makeyou happier in your relationship and thus allow you to help make your manhappier. Trust me - your man doesntwant to have to figure you out. He wantsyou to show up as you are, so he has the freedom to show up as his authenticself too.

Guys arent good at pretending, and if theyare, I would run the other way. A guywho seems too good to be true could have had too much practice at deceiving hispartners. (See how the trust thing goes both ways?) Also, if he feels he cant measure up to you,he wont stay very long because it will feel emasculating to him.

Mario loves that I act bizarrely at timesbecause he doesnt have to figure me out, he knows what comes out of my mouthis the truth, he has the freedom to be himself too, and as a result, we haveunconditional love and trust in our relationship.

I know that you want those same things, soheres the summary of the ways that you can practice being more authentic andattract true love with your dependable, original guy:

  1. Heal your relationshipwith your parents so you dont always need others approval.
  2. Find out what you truly enjoy in life.
  3. Say NO to things you dont enjoy doing.

4.Find opportunities to act quirky with the opposite sex.

Commit to act authentically so you increasethe level of trust you have in your relationships. Be true to yourself, bereal, and youll soon be in love. Ipromise.

What Made Ben-Hur An Amazing Achievement

The academy award winning 1959 movie Ben Hur is a stunning cinematic look at the life of Judah Ben-Hur during the last days of Jesus Christ's life. The greatness of this movie was due to a combination of story, direction, and acting abilities.

With a legendary director like William Wyler, a 15 million dollar budget, full production support from MGM and an acting sensation such as Charleton Heston, its easy to see why 1959s Ben-Hur galloped out of the Academy Awards with 11 Oscars. Over the course of the nine month production, 300 man-made sets, thousands of costumed extras and one epic chariot race meshed together under the direction of Wyler to create a stunning, historically accurate portrayal of the life of the Jewish merchant prince, Judah Ben-Hur during the last moments of Christs life.

Wheres the emperor? is the first question that a history buff may ask themselves while watching this film. Many Hollywood Roman epics feature the emperor as a main character in the film. They exploit stories that historian and gossip hound, Suetonius, crafted about the lavish, hedonistic and often ridiculous tendencies of power hungry, sex-crazed violent emperors. The emperor is not shown in this movie and I think it is because he would take away from the story, after all, Ben-Hur is supposed to be about the life of Christ and the absurd antics of a cocky demigod emperor would only distract from the story and not allow it to focus on central characters such as Judah Ben-Hur and his faceless friend, Jesus Christ.

Jesus face is never shown in this film and after theorizing why this could be, I read that his face was deliberately shielded at the request of the author of the novel from which the movie was based. By only showing the back of Jesus head, Wyler managed to capture the power and influence of Christ by documenting the visceral reactions that wash over Hestons face when he interacts with Christ. It makes Jesus more of a respected every-man type character that still has the power to cleanse the lingering hate that Hur kept in his heart. It was a bold but effective stylistic choice.

The sets in Ben-Hur allow the audience to image a rich, hulking Rome paved with dirt and speckled with varying cultural venues from busy market places to private royal bed-quarters. All of the costumes were manicured and detailed to appropriate time-period accuracy but they still flossed a Golden Age of Hollywood-esque varnish that made them appear cleaner and shinier than they would actually be if worn by Romans in the filthy city.

They production crew used many props that seemed like they took a long time to acquire or create for very short sequences-a true sign of a large budget. An example of the aforementioned props are the golden nose diving dolphins lap counters during the chariot race, the golden serpentine horns blown at Ben-Hurs parade to power and the large, ostentatious finger rings worn by the Christ-committed merchant, Balthasar. Such accessories are true testimonies to attention to historical detail found in this film.

The exciting and quite climatic chariot race in Ben-Hur was filmed in basically a full sized Circus Maximus that was split open to allow the crew to move freely while filming the sequence. The entire scene took three weeks to film and everything about it from the glistening leather armor to the cracking of Messalas whip to the ornately decorated chariots leap alive off the screen and command the viewer to come enjoy the entertainment in Rome. Historically accurate as it may be, it is easy to imagine what an event like that could have actually looked like back then and it is evident that the production designers and researches used factual text to conjure this recreation with splendor.

The most impressive and historically accurate scene in the film is the infamous naval battle. The ships were constructed perfectly to match the period of Rome in which they were sailed. When the ships ram each other and the soldiers board the opposing deck, thats when the productions credibility skyrockets because they knew how actual naval battles played out during that time. The fire pits used to light the ballistas massive arrows and the metal pointed front of the battle ship tempered to ram at full speed all came together to portray a very historically accurate sea battle that would be fought in ancient Rome.

The tremendous budget, appropriate acting and dead-on historical details really raised Ben-Hur from a typical sword and sandal picture to a movie held to legendary status even by current standards. Colorful costumes and monolithic sets allowed director, William Wyler to shape the movie into a Roman epic that held such a sense of place and time due to its historical accuracy.

Why The Dark Knight Sucks - Not Another Movie Review

You're probably thinking "Oh no! Not another The Dark Knight review!" Trust me, this isn't one. This movie has already been reviewed ad nauseum and for the purpose of this article it is entirely irrelevant whether I personally liked it or not. Besides, anyone and their grandma calls themselves a critic nowadays so Im not joining the ranks on this sole principle.

Even if you should have just returned from 40 days of fasting in the middle of desert you would have heard of the most commercially successful movie ever filmed. The Dark Knight broke box office records and set new highs in the world of commercial filmography. Everyone seems to have gone to see The Dark Knight, everyone seems to have written their "review" over at IMDB and everyone seems to have given it 10 out of 10 stars rating. It almost seemed as though the crowds were hypnotized and any rating other than 10 was not even an option.

I've been trying hard to think of anything more irritating than seemingly blindfolded fanboys who religiously repeat their "the best movie of the year" or "the best of all time" chants every time they get a chance and I couldn't. This ludicrous overhyping and overrating of a single picture created a force that resulted in a counterforce. Whether you call it the cause and effect phenomenon, or Newton's third law of motion, the outcome is clear. For many people The Dark Knight Sucks. The movie is good - it's not great, but it's not a complete failure either.

If you enter "The Dark Knight Sucks" into Google search engine, you will get over 3 million results. Why would so many people react with utter underrating of a movie thats actually pretty decent? Your answer is above. One extreme calls for another. If one extremist labels it "the best movie ever", the other one responds with "The Dark Knight Sucks".

I can imagine some of those people who gave The Dark Knight 1 or 2 star out of 10 on IMDB, would have otherwise given it 6 or 7 stars, because even if they particularly didn't like it, they didn't really think it was that bad. But to balance out the madness started by the overhyping crowd, the opposing party let themselves heard by blatant underrating. Oh the irony Why make it such a big deal? It's just the movie!

Learn Types of Swords for Collection

There are various movie sword designs being reproduced as replicas for movie fans and sword enthusiasts to collect. However many fans and new collectors are not aware of the sword type they purchased or planning to add to their collection. Without this knowledge they may purchase the wrong sword, use it in the wrong manner and risk damaging the collection or even injuring themselves. This article is written for the audience to learn the types of swords available in the market and with this information make the right purchase for their collection.

Having a movie sword replica collection can be the most satisfying hobby for many. If you are planning to start one or just considering whether it is the right hobby for you, this article is written to help you take that first step - acquiring information specifically what types of swords you should collect. If you search the net, you will find countless sword designs with detailed product specification. With all these options, it can be daunting at first to just figuring out which sword is suitable for you. So to make things simple, you need to know what is the purpose of the sword that you desire. The 3 categories of sword types available in the market are grouped based on that purpose.

Let's start with the first sword type - the decorative sword which is also frequently referred to as display sword. The name decorative sword clearly states its purpose making your fireplace, study or games room look fabulous. Decorative swords are generally made from but not limited to stainless steel making them more corrosive-resistant than common carbon steel. Even though meant for display purposes, they do come in both sharpened and unsharpened blades.

Bear in mind that decorative swords are not to be used in sword duels or weekend cutting parties. If you still insist, have a paramedic team on standby. Most decorative swords (99.99%) will break under abusive forces. Expect chipped edges and perhaps flying blade pieces, the latter possibly land you an involuntary manslaughter charge.

The second type of sword is the practice sword used for beginner and intermediate sword training exercises. The practice sword helps students to learn basic sword techniques (offence and defence), sword handling and balanced footwork. Practice swords can be made from a variety of materials mainly wood, plastic, latex, foam, aluminium and even steel. They do not have sharp edges for safety reasons which is perfect for sword duel exercises where students apply the skills they learned to the test.

You probably heard of sword cutting exercise in advanced training where actual swords with razor-sharp edges are used to cut bamboo, plastic containers and roll-bundled newspaper. Skilled and experienced professionals use functional sword for this purpose which is described in the next section.

The final type is the functional sword, the real thing - designed and forged to withstand the brute forces exerted from cutting, stabbing and metal-to-metal clobbering. A fully-functional sword is one magnificent piece of engineering and sometimes termed battle-ready cause it really is. The blade and tang is made as a single piece from high carbon steel which have gone through a proper heat treatment. In case you are wondering, the tang is the part of the blade that extends into the hilt. A full-tang extends all the way to the hilt end typical of many European swords. A partial-tang is more favoured in Japanese Katana.

The cross-guard, grip and pommel of a functional sword are carefully designed and made from durable materials. If you plan to have a weekend cutting party, a fully functional sword is the best piece to use. Well actually its a must. You are less likely to worry about damaging the sword, just keep your eye on where the sword is going and make sure youre gripping it firmly. If you dont have any previous training on handling a functional sword, go get one. Remember involuntary manslaughter?
