Sumanth Ashwin is slowly but steadily making his presence felt in Tollywood. After giving a mediocre hit with Kerintha, he is back with a romantic entertainer Columbus. Also starring Seerat Kapoor and Mishti Chakraborthy, this film has hit the screens today. Let’s see how it is.

Story: -

Ashwin (Sumanth Ashwin) is a young college go falling in love with Indu (Mishti). As time passes, Ashwin leaves all his career goals behind and lives his life with only the view of Indu. This kind of irritates his Indu great time and it completely ignores and goes to Delhi.
A disappointed Ashwin follows in Delhi. He also mixes in a murder mystery and stopped. By the time it comes out, Indu has left him for good. This is also the time when it falls on Neeraja (Seerat Kapoor) who promises to help find Indu.Twist in the tale arises when two Neeraja Ashwin and begin to approach each other. What is Ashwin doing now? Who do we want to end up with after all? Which forms the rest of the story.

Plus Points: -

The romantic track between Ashwin and Seerat Kapoor was treated in an interesting way. Stories like these are quite new in Telugu films and chemistry Seerat Ashwin and was treated quite well.Sumanth Ashwin has improved by leaps and bounds. It is decent with his dialogue delivery and did a good job in the comedy department. Seerat Kapoor is quite impressive and has done his best. Misthi did his part well but did not have much to do.Second half of the film is the greatest asset. Great twists are revealed during this time of the procedure becomes a little interesting. The scenes where the hero discovers his true love were skillfully executed in columbus movie review.

Negative points: -

major drawback of the film is the weak characterization of key players. Both Mishti and Ashwin track has not been set correctly. Their characters have no justification and do not create chemistry.After a while, the film gets predictable and has no pattern. It moves on one agenda and that has not been presented. comedy Saptagiri not seem out of place and does not create a lot of laughs.Some very important people have been misused in the film. How Neeraja plans to bring Ashwin and Mishti looks far too filmy. First half was nothing very interesting to offer and is routine.

Technical aspects:-

the camera work is pretty decent and showcases the film in a rich light. The production values are good and so were the dialogues. Music by Jatin is good and so was his background score. Coming to the Director Ramesh Samala, he made an average job with his narration. Although he chose a new scenario, performance is below par.

Verdict:-

Overall, Columbus is yet another triangular love story has its moments. Seerat Kapoor romantic track with Sumanth Ashwin and second half are passable certain assets. On the other hand, a first half of routine and low characterizations ruin the flow of the film. If you have an eye for young love stories and have nothing else to do this weekend, to explore this movie called Columbus. Rest can take easily.
